I had downloaded the Logitech Camera Settings app and thought it was rather weak, However, I did not know there was another option such as this Capture app. I see that there are quite a few on their page. Any others you recommend for a Brio webcam? I'm looking forward to learning more about OBS too!

Thank you for this video! It helped me a lot. However, I do have a recent issue. Logi capture has been working great for me, until the last couple of days. All the sudden my video is distorting whenever I move. I have tried 1080 and 720, different fps with the same result. It's pretty frustrating. I have the latest updated version. I even tried some older versions. Any help with this would be so appreciated.

Hi Adam - thanks so much for your videos :) I just bought a C922. I will be following your videos a couple of more time to set it up using Logitech Capture. I mainly using webcam to record my zoom yoga classes. Can I get away by only using Logitech capture, without OBS? I am not that tech savvy, I prefer to involve very few pieces of software if possible. I hope to hear back from you.

It's not compulsory to use OBS, it really depends on what you're doing. OBS is usually used for screensharing and live broadcasting when using content platforms like TH-cam. It just so happens that it has a recording feature and when I do tutorials, I use it. Use whatever makes sense for your scenario 😉

Thanks for the video - this was great and made an instant difference! I was wondering for those using mac laptops - I find my mac heats up real quick every time I use logitech and makes that loud noise from the heat - would you know how to stop that?
Glad I was able to help 😊. Not so sure about that mac issue. Usually a webcam would not cause that, software do. Try just switching on your webcam with no other software on and see if there's any change.
@@HustleSavvy I found when I had OBS on, there was no heat or noise. But as soon as i use Logi Capture, the heat and noise comes right on. It sucks as I need to film some important videos haha. Can you film and save videos without Logi capture? Sorry if that's a silly question, still new to webcam filming!

you can do all this in OBS and more! OBS is actually a bit better as they have GAIN which is huge!

I've had real audio sync problems using an external mic (Blue Snowball) and Logitech Capture. The audio beats the video, so you look badly dubbed. I can fix with a delay to audio on OBS but anything I can do in Capture do you know? Thanks.

Hi Adam - thanks so much for your videos :) Quick question, when I record using 1/2 source ---- the width of the screen is not full --- and is kind of like portrait style with black borders on either side. Is there a way to extend it so that it's recording the full width of the screen? Thank you in advance!
That's weird. If you select Source > Screen Capture > Display, it should record your entire screen. Try checking your layout (those circle buttons with numbers on them next to the red record buttons).

@@HustleSavvy Hi Adam - actually this is not an issue when I'm recording myself, but when I'm screencasting (I think that's the word?) - when I'm trying to record myself scrolling on the internet for the video. When doing this (with myself down in the little picture box below, BTW thanks for the border tip!), I see black bars on either side of the screen cast. Any ideas?

Cheers! Yes you can. Just make sure you select the Blue Yeti as the mic input in whatever software you're using
@@HustleSavvy Yeah, I'm so new to these things. I need one of those "instructions for Dummies" books, haha. I have both my c922 and my blue yet downloaded and set onto my computer. I'm just trying to figure out now how to turn on my c922 and have the blue yet connected to it as I make a sample video.
In other words, does the blue yeti speaker cancel out the c922 mic and become the speaker for the recording?

You need to add Logitech Capture as a source in the other app / software you are using. An example of this can be found in this video th-cam.com/video/ukJ93yQpkfs/w-d-xo.html
The settings work in Capture but I don't use Capture software when at meetings. I have to use Kaiser software and Microsoft Teams. The settings do not carry over to those. Specifically the zoom setting. When I use those two programs, people can see my entire living room and there are no settings in those programs. I wish I had not gotten this webcam. So I don't understand the purpose of changing these, if they won't carry over anyway.
I need to know if I can connect a pop voice Lavalier Mic to my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 & still be about to talk on Camera ? Because I do have a Rode Pod mic but I don’t want to use it until I get the Sony video camera that I want for Christmas so until then I just want the Logitech to work with the small pop voice mic
Shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you select that mic as your voice input in your recording software.
