I see that your subs have risen. You deserve it man, my favorite no nonsense fishing channel on TH-cam by far. Thank you for sharing your fishing adventures with all of us. Gives me inspiration to get out there more myself. Much appreciated 😎👍
Very good fishing and I am a big fan of your videos, I watch almost all of them.
I know nobody wanna talk about this , but this time I think you should have taken the time to Release the Second Drum properly, it looked like it was exhausted, many fish die from a bad release.
I enjoy your righiteous appreciation in the face of beautiful fishing.
That satisfaction when you're expecting the tax man but it turns out to be a nice drum
Haha yeah taxman is serious trouble
Love a mixed bag day like this! Almost only ever get these in salt water, but nice job on all species. You have my undying envy!
Thanks Elias. I almost caught a 10 or 12 inch bass this morning in the back yard. On a spinner bait. Third jump he got off
I've learned a lot about jigging while drifting in my boat from watching your channel over the years. Put a hurting on some speckled trout and flounder last week. Great videos!!
"On and on E's just like you, Drum are red and skies are blue!!!" Spacehog.
Everyone hates the blues, but I really enjoy them. I bleed them immediately and put them on ice of course. The wild thing about the blues is how mushy the meat is when you clean it but how firm it cooks up.
I have one creek mouth in particular where 2-5lb blues will blow up on topwater first thing in the morning, fun fishing.
I love the fight from blues, table fare no.
In South Africa blues (or elf as it is called here) are respected eating. Secret is to eat them fresh, lose all the red meat and to use a hot skillet with garlic butter & salt only. Nom nom!
You should sell T-Shirts that just say "Et Cetera", maybe with a drawing of a dink bluefish. Just spit-balling here.
agree those yellow eyed devils do deserve more respect! I luv'm, fresh, bled out, on ice just like you do Elias....totally different than the purple looking bluefish I see at the supermarket....ooof! hurts my stomach!. TY!🙂
Our drum here in AR look similar but are more round. I know they’re related but funny how they are different in other parts of the US. We call em “music makers” and are pretty much a trash fish. We catch them all the time on gizzard shad catfishing
Quite a variety ... The Reds were heavy, the Blues & Spanish were active, the bait stuck around. Where was the tide?
I'm From nj, just curious how you prepare those cocktail blues?
I wouldn't want to go too off shore with one of those yaks(boats).. Motor malfunction and a long hard paddle.
dude your watch not being tucked in and being held on by just the button was keeping me on the edge of my seat
It's been awhile since I've watched one of your videos. It was great fun getting back to it!
Waiting on my 5.6" shads smoked seabass on the menu this weekend.
Got to love hooking up on the big reds!!! Heading down that way tomorrow. Hope to see you out there some time. Thanks man.
Love your videos. Last bull red looked like a floater on release. After long fights should revive in current or pedal (motor). Thanks
Plunged and swam off (look closely can see the tail pump down.
No toads? I guess it can't be christmas every day...
I lost a big fish last week like that it popped my metal clasp on my bottom rig
Yes sir fired up the smoker a few times this years for blues and Spanish
what kind of smoker do you use Elias???
NICE, looks like you found Valhalla!
Thanks for sharing. Love some smoked fish
Love how you are casually sitting and fishing while facing the camera. 360 seats should be standard on all new kayaks.
"Elias," says the bluefish, "I'd feel WAY more love if you'd toss me back and keep some of those trout instead!"
I confess to have never sampled smoked blues. They looked mighty good.
Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Watching you try to grab that first bluefish flopping all over reminded me of last week when I was using a 15 gram Jigpara metal jig and hooked a small bluefish about the same size on the single top hook of the jig and while I was trying to grab him he flipped big time and drove one third of the bottom treble hook into the middle finger of my left hand. Ripping that thing out was hurtful! Glad it didn’t happen to you. Makes me want to debarb my hooks if there is such a word. Those little jigs will catch anything. I was even catching spot which seemed weird.
This maybe a dumb question but do you ever have bad days when nothing bites? I’ve never fished in the ocean, just curious
It certainly happens, and the weird thing is, you know it is going to happen, you can feel it, but you put the effort in ,so you have to keep going…
I thought stripers sit underneath blues because the blues chop up fish above and stripers just lazily scoop up scraps that fall down
Another quality and fun day!
Elias, I don't know if you expected those drum to react to a slow pitch jig like that, but that was fun to watch. 😅
Bluefish are delicious. Don't know why people say they are trash fish.
New viewer. What part of the country are you fishing in here?
NC
Great, some extra care and smoke does the rest. People are to lazy and disgard the small fish for eating.
What an awesome day! Slightly envious but deeply grateful that you bring us along for the ride 💪👊
ooouch ! Loosing that tank at 27 min hurt me. Fall fishing as it should be, great job as usual.
That Komodo is a beast of a reel.
Great video, what a nice day on the water.
Thanks for bringing us along.
Cheers
Macs yeah… blues… ehhh. maybe I just need learn how to cook them or trick.
Bluefish cakes time
Excellent fisherman. Fun day. Thanks.
What a beautiful day!
Wow, that drum was a great ol big'un or was it a big ol good'un.
Enjoyed your video.
Excelent video...This is one of my favorite kayak fishing channels. What's the brand and model of your PFD? The high back is very convenient. Thanks
Old Town makes it
Always a good time for an Elias video.
Wow! Just incredible fishing!
don't you fishing pompano this year ?
Great video as always thank you.
"OK I'm gonna try" hooks fish
you would be better off with a left handed reel. You wouldn't have to cross reel and change hands to reel in.
.
For sure I’m a kook. Have a hard time following the jig in current with left arm.
Thoughts on the cranka crab? You think a tog would hit it?
I think so. Those hooks are tough to be replacing on the water though.
@EliasVFishing Good point. Crabs and jigs are easy to come by too. Good stuff as always dude 👌
Great action. My kinda day!
Keep it up man love the vids
Why don’t you keep and eat the drums?
Aloha. The bigger they get, the wormier they get. Smaller ones are good eats.
Aloha. Size limits as well.
Great segment Elias
Not a bad day at all! 👍

when did NC start regulating grey trout?
About 10 yrs ago. Used to be 6 then 4 then 1. I fished turning basin at Morehead City 2 days 2 weeks ago. Zero gray trout, zero spot, zero croaker, 200 small black bass and an array of other trash fish. Kept 6 blues and ate them fresh.
I think Bluefish are underrated. I never let them sit more than a day before consuming them though. An old man told from the Outer Banks told me after day 3 to never even serve them to your worst enemy. I have tried them as same day Sashimi and I prefer them to Mackerel as they are similar yet a little more firm.@@kennethbroadwell653
He says give em some love then cuts its gills 🤣🤣
It’s the extra respect it deserves if I’m eating it imo.
It's a 'sportsman' move, kinder to the fish to dispatch it quickly. You ever fished?
First comment. Life goal achieved
Aloha. Pretty low bar, uh?
What version Lowrance do you have Elias?
