Yeah and the abbreviation of Angel of Death is AOD, and this song's abbreviation is DOA... See the what they did there? David Sanchez did the same with the scream where he reversed where that scream is so instead of it being near the beginning of the song like it is on Angel of Death, it is almost at the end on this song
That's more like Postmortem (Fatality, reality, await the final CAAAL towards the up-tempo end), having a mid-tempo song ending with a higher tempo started by a scream, and followed by the final verse etc. But nice notion with AOD/DOA didn't notice that before.
I love how this song builds up tension with the acronym, and explaining it at the bridge making it all come full circle. Not something you'd see bieber or anyone like that taking the time to implement :D
Someone shared a Havok video on the Facebook group Ireland Metal Heads recently. I hit like on the video and TH-cam has been recommending Havok videos every so often as a result. Good times.
My friend from Germany just saw these guys, and gave me the recommend....sounds very much like what I listened to when I was 18 (1988)......and that's...............just fine!! Very refreshing!
These guys are Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer wrapped into one. Twenty five years ago this band would have been huge. The only thing they need is a big break out single into mainstream. They play great and sound great just need the big one to let everyone see them. Different times now!
And your reply was SO much more snappy! See what you did was put an f where there was an r! comedic gold sir!!!!!! comedic gold...I wish I was on your level of cleverness...one day!
im going to buy all HAVOK'S stuff--GREAT METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!-----the tom araya, angel of death scream made me laugh--i love this metal..fantastic players.
I actually met the guitarist of Havok without actually realizing it at first... He plays guitar in this lower scale band called "Monolith" They played at a REALLY TINY show I went to. He was wearing a Havok shirt, so after they performed, I shook his hand and said great job, and made a note about the Havok shirt
you guys crushed it @ the aggie in fort collins the other day. by far one of the best shows ive been to. next to seeing Beheaded and Pantera, this was by far one of my favorite shows. yall played yalls heart out. love yalls sounds guys!
Holy crap discovering this band is like Christmas morning as a child. \m/
Just happened to me.
these guys and Evile are my 2 favorites from new wave.
+Lithium IRL me too
+Lithium IRL suicidal angels are up there too
I rocked out to them on a driving journey today. Amazing.
That Araya scream is perfection!!
Guitars sound good, no crazy ass shit, no horrible growling vocals, unique vocal style, changes tempo in the middle of the song, has an angel of death scream. Pure thrash I love it!!
Angel of Deaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaath
You can hear those slayer-ish under tones love it
Finally, quality thrash!
The opening has a iron maiden feel to me.
This is the trooper IM black sabbath children of the grave and angel of death in one song
The black and green looks cool as fuck
agree
Krispynachos 99 agree
Typo Negative colours
I like the tom araya scream in it.
d.o.a > a.o.d > angel of death
Slayer confirmed
Omg True xD
2:41 screams like Angel Of Death XD
And the riff in the same spot is basically the end of Postmortem
we all know slayer are shite though :)
2:40
searched up D.O.A by van Halen, found this instead, not a bad day
Nice upgrade
Party on

Best modern thrash band out there 👌🤘

Dust bolt my men
Last time I checked this isn’t Municipal Waste
@@natelandherr5202 municipal waste: the band who told trump supporters/their fans to blow their brains out
Havok, keep saving thrash metal! !
Moral of the story: Don’t drink and drive or you’ll become the best thing to happen to thrash this decade.
Havock pays tribute to their influences, perhaps unknowingly, in a way that is uniquely Havok! HAILZ HAVOK!!!
This song makes me feel blessed to be a metalhead.
I lobe how they actually have a green drum set, amps, bass and guitars for this, that is amazing
2:42 Vio-lence - Kill On Command with opening A.O.D scream. Damn.
2:50....God damn! That is one of the baddest metal riffs ever! If you can listen to that without headbanging, you are no metalhead!
2:42 Angel of Death - Slayer. HAVOK KEEP ALIVE THE THRASH METAL SPIRIT!
+Johny Gear omg its like the exact same scream haha
DOA turnde around is AOD (Angel of Death) is aw that like last week

Why does anyone compare ?? That is not what being Metal is about. We are not elitist.
Thganks for keeping old school thrash alive. I think I just heard a "Tom Araya type falsetta Angel of Death scream. HELL YEAH !!!
Havok rocks! JESUS SAVES!
The intro reminds me of Iron Maiden. Awesome song!!
And its like the unforgiven solo
fuck yea! I thought the same
This is my first Havok song. I think I'm going to like this band.
2:42--very Slayer-inspired! And the backing vocals are great! Totally makes me think of Exodus, especially Impact is Imminent (for thematic reasons).

Epic Tim Araya scream. Neon Green kills man best color for a guitar. One of the best new bands around
2:42 Went full Tom Araya
David Sanchez FTW, can't believe he can reach higher than C6
@@HeadCrabbyPatty He's Araya's lost seed.

I HAD BEEN I A D.O.A. TRIP! I WAS DRINKING AND DRIVING! THEY GOT ME BREATHING AND NOW I THINK GOD EVERY DAY I'M HERE!
Is it just me or is there a strong melodeath sound to this song?
a little bit
i knew it... it wasn't just me
trash and melodeath both draw influences from the new wave of British heavy metal so you are correct
kjrody21 Heavy Metal in general comes from britain.
Thats the problem of new Thrash, it's been bastardized with it's own child's subgenres 🤢
Thank you Havok... Just, thank you 😭
2.42 epic tom araya scream \m/
and beginning of the this monster like unforgiven clean solo.
Why everyone say that this falsetto scream is like tom araya's in angel of death? I don't find it similar at all
I remembered Tom Arayas scream. amazing !!!! good job guys greating from Turkiye
Man these guys will be famous when we all get older
Hopefully before the 2030s
Thrash is still alive
Saw em in Rochester, NY last night. Fantastic, very tight.
