I lost a very old and rear friend. I will always struggle thst he is not here. God bless you always mate, and make sure you always sing with the angels in heaven. I am sure I will see you again.
I unfortunately never met him. I first saw Joe as a youngster, yes he never got the full recognition he deserved. Some just stick in your mind.Joe was one of mine. I hope the man from Hull adopted by the good people of Blackpool is looking down ..❤
He looks so poorly here yet still gave his all. Definitely Joe's anthem and impossible to hear without tearing up and getting a lump in my throat. Joe will always be remembered.
I am 50 now and used to sing all over clubland and cruises back in 1994 to 2004 - tough learning academy - I met Joe in Blackpool and was fortunate enough to support him a few times and on two occasions got to play piano with him at Salford Rugby Club - they had back in the day a great compare and live room. Joe was an absolute pro - funny, gracious, even when he was ill and recovering. To this day, I will never forget his presence on stage, in black tie, with a tight band behind him. I have never seen anyone project a voice like Joe. He owned the stage and he knew it. The only act to ever reduce me to tears more than once. In recent months and after watching many of Joes videos, he has inspired me to get back to singing in 2025 - and I will honour some of his big songs. Massively missed -
Yes I agree, unfortunately never got the full recognition he deserved, that man from Hull done good. Adopted by Blackpool his second home. I saw him firstly as a little younger, holidays from 🏴 ❤️ to Blackpool Visit Layton Cemetery last May time left heart shape RIP Joe
What a final anthem for me... Kept going to the end because off the thing he loved.. Giving a wonderful voice to the world... So sad and sorry, now your gone, but your musical memories will live on and on.......
What can I say ? Nothing to say. No words can say how much this man means to us all. A friend to me my family especially my 11 yr old daughter natasha. RIP my friend. Stevie collins & family. Ps. Winni the pooh teddy and card still in Natasha's room. X
Enjoyed so many great nights with Joe including the wonderful open air concert in Cyprus and Palladium concerts.Joe was a real fighter and just carried on despite illness .He always said there are people worse off than me I miss him so much.
this was joe at his best r.i.p your talent comes around once in a life time the voice just got better now he is singing with the other stars in heaven thats why you were mr blackpool your name will live on in my heart with all of us who were lucky to have seen him live
I loved every minute of his singing and entertaining, in every dimension of when i saw him. Joe was a true performer who so obviously loved what he did , how he did it, who he impersonated and how he pleased so many. He should, without doubt, have gained much more fame than he did, in the mainstream. His one BIG asset was knowing that whenever he sang, his fans were right alongside him and we enjoyed every single minute of his skill and how he made his performances look so bloody easy. Luv u Joe. Thank you so much for you being you...
WOW......WOW.......WOW. !!!!!!!! What an absolutely incredible voice!! Never, ever had the global recognition he deserved. God Bless you Joe.......and thanks for the music. You were THE very BEST. Much Love x
Although he had some difficulties (I think his health was not very good), he still sang the song to the end in a professional way without distorting it. R.I.P.
The nearly man. Ridiculous talent. He really should’ve been in Vegas on 20 grand minimum per night. That’s what happens when you mix with the wrong crowd and hit the drugs. I saw him twice. Soooo talented.
WE ALL LISTENED TO HIM THEN..THOUGHT HE WAS BRILLIANT AT THE TIME........he was good but now i hear in his voice every other singer...tom jones,,, frank, dean..sammy...a bus driver.......he had a talent,, just needed to find his own voice.
One of the most underrated voices,he was right up there with the best, when he sang he became the song.
Sadly gone,sadly missed R.I.P Joe

I thought he looked fantastic! Not I'll at all.
I agree, his eyes had lost their sparkle, but my God could he still sing.
