if they were a real family they shouldn't try to kill her... they've should have tried to solve it but mikage is a family tht wud do anyhting to just protect themselves, and they hurt innocent people just cause of their ambition
If Yuzu from Devil Survivor were to meet this character and her world she'd really be faint and say this would take the cake. Which for this it really is true.

I think the manga is way better ^^ goes more into detail and its less confusing. the reson everone hates aya is because she is a salestal maidn and she is to powerful so they dont like her any more. But her dad and mom dont hate her a parent can never hate their own child thats why her father tryed to protect her and as punishment for that he got shot.
Yeah and also there was a sequel novel series to this with 3 of the books taking place after the events of the manga. Called Ayashi no Ceres Episode of Miku in this the stories are really a trip like Miori and Chidori coming back from the dead though now in clone form, a knife attack by clone Miori on Aya and Touya like something out of Fatal Attraction only she doesn't die in some bathtub, and lets just say it's a trip. Just Google it to find out the whole story.

Oh my gosh, the dad's death was so much more violent in the anime, in the mange, he still got shot, but it was later, and he took a bullet for aya.

You can say yeah though in the manga he was shot with rifles or shotguns I think while covering Aya.
This episode is so horrible to both Aya and her father. In the manga he was shot in the back, not the head.
Yep and also in the manga the family tried killing Aya by strangulation before resorting to guns.
