    Short sharp and to the point, no faffing around, no excruciating back ground music. In a word “Sterling” work. Thanks for sharing Ash. I needed to do this and was a bit apprehensive as had never previously used the JLR SDD software. This video gave me the confidence to do it and save me some cash to boot. What is not to like 😉 ... ........ Very well done Sir! Great tutorial and thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with others. Much appreciated Ash and keep up the great work.

      No worries buddy! Thank you so much for your comment, making these videos is so worth it if it means I'm actually helping people with them! They'll be plenty more to come!

      You probably need to run the Security - Immobilization program, you can see it in the list at 1:43 😊

      You're welcome... Yes, I believe that the early X260 (up to 2017) is compatible with SDD

    Many thanks for the video. I foolishly thought that changing a battery would be a Service Function so could not find the proper page anywhere.

      You're very welcome... Yea, it's way more complicated than it needs to be 🤣

    With you special knowledge of SDD can you say if there is a way within SDD to disable the Stop Start system which has been revived by my change of battery?

    • @AshRowland
      @AshRowland  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you can disable it using SDD by changing the Car Configuration File (CCF) to make the car think that it isn't fitted.

      Thanks Harley... I bought the complete kit from eBay, software preloaded onto a laptop and supplied with Mongoose cable.

    What setup do you use to power the car while working with SDD?

    • @AshRowland

      So I have a 50a battery support unit that I use. To be honest, 30a will probably do and Sealey do one for about £250, part number is SPBC30

      Hi Ash, in relation to the above question, could you tell me please how you connect your battery support unit. Do you connect straight to the battery or do you use the connection under the bonnet? Great videos by the way @@AshRowland

    • @AshRowland

      @@paulbasden2452 Hi Paul... connect the positive to the positive terminal on the big battery in the boot and the negative to the spare wheel clamp. If you don't have a spare wheel then connect the negative to the chassis somewhere, there's a bolt close to the battery that is actually connected to the negative terminal, use this

    Hello i have a jaguar XF 2014 and i just removed the battery terminal and now the doors wont Lock, i have done some research and found out that i need to do the battery Replacement function on the SDD JLR, When i go to do that it comes an error not letting me do that function when i press Battery Replacement, however i realized that the BCM is marked as “Module Fitted Not Responding” and has the red X Symbol, could that be the problem? Or what could it be, please help me 😅
    I am using a Windows 7, SDD JLR 1.64
    My car is a Jaguar XF x250 2014
    Im using GODIAG OBD Cable from ebay

      Try running the Immobilisation program in service functions, that should sort the central locking out

    Only works if you can manually work the ignition..

    • @AshRowland
      @AshRowland  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you can't manually work the ignition then you have worse problems than a replacement battery

    Hi IS the red light problem on dashboard ??
    Where to get thé sdd software please ?
    And with which tool using this ?

    • @AshRowland
      @AshRowland  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have a red battery light on your dashboard then you need to get it looked at as it means your battery isn't charging and is most likely a faulty alternator, which can cause all sorts of issues on these cars... I got the SDD software already installed on a laptop, including the cable, from eBay 😃

    • @callejas-oliboromuald5982
      @callejas-oliboromuald5982 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The fact IS that when i drive thé battery IS full changing, then with a obd system no alternator code appeared...
      IS this jlr sdd problem Can solve my problem ?
      Can you clone a bcm into another one with this ?
      Thx for your answer

      @@callejas-oliboromuald5982 It can do this yes, but I don't know how to do it. You're better off getting a Jaguar specialist to check it over for you as this software can REALLY mess your car up if you don't know what you're doing.

    • @AshRowland
      @AshRowland  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @callejas-oliboromuald5982 this application needs to be run after the car batteries have been replaced else there will be problems with stop start 🙂
