For years I've wondered why we aren't able to choose the start point on a map. Even with the 9 tile limitation, it would allow us to introduce variation to the game.
fully agree. It makes no sense to be locked to one starting tile, if the limitation is size because of processing power I notice the CS Twitter has been liking and nudge nudge wink wink on more than 9 tiles the last day or so, so not sure if something is going on or it's just trolling
It would require extra work on the developer's part because there needs to be freeway connecting whatever tile you would choose and highway in every square isn't a good solution
Honestly, I haven't bought the DLC yet, which is weird coz I usually get the new DLC immediately as soon as it is available. Maybe because of the timing? coz they just released P&P very recently; or maybe just disappointed with the free patch update vs. with what was on the patch note. Anyways, as a console player, this is a much appreciated review. I don't think anyone can say these as MTM can. Thank you so much for your honesty and sentiment towards console players. We still love the devs, I know we do, and we know they're working on with a fix. For the meantime, we'll enjoy what we have, nine tiles and all. 😀
Like you I've taken a pass on this one for now, to role out a patch note and then not fulfil it on the console version I find it insulting. PC Have access to mods to enhance the game, why add a feature to improve visuals on PC when console players have had the same under par visuals for all this time. I'm a next gen user, if they're not gonna release a new installment, then a next gen upgrade is needed.
I think the 9 tile limitation would be better if we could choose where we want to start a map. Because then you could at least get to where you wanted to go with your city and the limitation isn't as big of a deal. Or at least a deal breaker. And you're spot on with the Financial District where you have to keep going back in and out to see if you've made enough from your stocks.
Not even mentioning that alot of console players were disappointed that the colour corrections they talked about were actually a PC exclusive feature, alot of players including myself though the feature was going to be available on console as well.
We need plop the growables on console!! So frustrating to wait for the right building to make them historical. Especially if you need more of the same higher level buildings.
The problem we've got are the old consoles. We need options for the newer consoles (ps5 or xbox series x) or, what i want way more, cs2 and this time only for the new consoles! But the first step that i would like so much is choosing the starting tile. Maybe they could give us even an option between three tiles to start with.
Fun fact: if you purchase 2 tiles "kitty-corner" to one another you can physically connect them with roads despite only their narrow corners adjoining.
Agreed. But I think on other maps as well, need 25 tiles. I don't mind if they keep the object restrictions as it is, since my city population will only be around 120K-130K even with 25 tiles.
Love the honesty of the updates for console players. I have an XBox One X and have all the DLC. I could be ok with nine tiles, but having just three extra would change the game for me. Like others said we need the option of also being able to start anywhere on the map not being fixed to that area. Love the new maps, but I am heavily terraforming the map to get it just right. Would love to see 12 tiles. I think 12 is a good number for console.
I'm so glad someone has finally addressed some of the biggest problems with console version. As for the 9 tile issue...... I have no problem either, however I think a good solution would be to allow us console players too CHOOSE where we want to start within the 81 tiles ..... Great content thanks for your work.
The only map I play on is 7 lakes on the mass transit DLC. It is heavily forested outside of the 3x3 9 tiles making it look really natural. You can terraform it to get rid of some lakes and it can be a totally different map every time.
@@MoveTheMouse - this is a top console map (for example, one tile gives you just enough sea connection for a port, but no more). Emmanuel is spot on. And if you don't terraform or tunnel under the lakes, it provides a really nice transit challenge.
How maps are incorporated into the tile limitation is the biggest grievance I have as a console player and dissuades me from playing more often than not. I too have no issue with only nine tiles but as someone who has paid for every DLC released I feel that most of the maps are more challenging than necessary and would prefer something useable instead for my money.
Whoilst I would love to have 25 tiles to play with on console, even an extra 3 or so would make a lot more of the maps playable on console. There's a lot of maps where you need to buy a tile just to complete a road along the coastline, or to improve one of the junctions that come with the map, (Riverrun is a good example - you need to buy one tile with a large hilly area just to work on a small section of freeway).
The skyscraper growing out of an older low rise structure is very common in NY. The main problem is there isn't enough variety so it doesn't look good if too many of them close together. Need to mix and match them with commercial/residential towers to get a good aesthetic. For PC players using anarchy/moveit you can put meld them together to create really attractive buildings.
So disappointed in the mao pack and the financial districts! Thank you for covering this. The map pack 8s useless because of the limit on tiles. Every map has huge problems for me on console. If I can get a highway in more that 1 tile, I can't get outside trains. The industry areas are all so sparse. The shipping is non existent in many because I'd have to buy the weirdest configuration of tiles to get it. I'm sick of games going to console only as an afterthought.
I wish when selecting a new map that we have a choice to plot out starting tile instead of it already preselcted. Many maps have some nice areas but I cannot access it even maxing 9 tiles.
What I don't get is This game was originally released on console but when they come out with DLCs they cater more to PCs instead of consoles. You would think they would make the game better for console players since PC players have MODs. Make iT make sense!!... I want more than 9 tiles! Surface painter! Pic my own buildings & maybe move iT... Maybe traffic manager but these would make the game 100x better!
Its sad to see them drop the ball so hard, especially after the banger DLC of Plazas and Promenandes. I hope they take your opinions seriously and fix financial district and plan the maps out before in the future!
Regarding the 9 tile limit, I wish they would re-engineer it to run like the old SimCity 3 maps. In short for the younger players that dont know that 20 year old game, there was a large overmap and players would load one tile at a time to play. In that way, you could grow large metro region one tile at a time, with everything being visible in the overmap.
I totally agree the buildings are just so bad and weird. It could work for one or two buildings but for that many weird tumor-skyscraper in my city is just horrible looking
Thank God someone addressed the issue of the 9 tiles. I agree it would vastly improve the game for console players if the increase the 9 tiles or make maps suitable for it. I want to be able to use all my DLC's in one map on every map and can't do it with the limits for the Industry DLC. Its really hard because the materials are so far apart sometimes you can't get it all in the tiles. It would be nice to start off with outside highway connections from different angles instead of one that is mostly cut off from tile limitations also. I literally only use about 3 or 4 maps for all my cities.
100's of hours with the game. Many dollars spent on DLC, not purchasing this newest one or any other because of 9 tile limit on console. They are way open to selling assets we can't even use at ease. You have to sacrifice the last DLC's to fit in the new stuff because 9 tiles is so limiting. Release a new game.. increase tile count on new gen. It's been long enough. Your video is spot on for me, I don't like the looks of the new buildings but my biggest knock is the space we have to build and how you are confined by layouts.
If I'm gonna be limited to 9 tiles, at least let me choose the starting point. I don't make 3×3 tile cities , mine are more organically shaped but if I could get at least 3 more tiles , it would be great .
Thanks for posting this MTM! This has been my chief frustration with the maps. I stop playing my cities because I hate the way the city looks in an ugly 9 tile setup. I don't want to choose between unlocking the other half of the large island I have access to or train access...
We need a console specific update imo, maps for consoles, bundled CCPs and graphics update. This was a great review btw, thank you for this. I really hope someone from the team watches it.
Thank you for being honest, and I've just started playing citi skylines on PS, I get the feeling this is a PC game, and not really for console play, it would be nice to have an increase in tiles for console players, but I'm staying with this game, because it's so addictive
I like the new DLC. The level 1 buildings are amazing, the bigger 4x4 glass topped buildings look nice too, but those skinny 1x1 are aweful. You just need to "historical" them quickly to avoid the silly super tall and skinny glass buildings on top.
These maps are built for more than 9 tiles, And like its not fair especially for console players with access to next gen systems, Even 18 tiles would be amazing heck 12 would be fine, The Cities Skylines devs know consoles biggest ask, But it just feels like it falls on deaf ears. Also its not like console is a small community, Its quite big
Really excellent review! Thank you for uploading this. Console player here. It does make me think about buying this pack. Very much agree with the 9 tiles limiting the new maps. You’d want to take advantage of the terrain, but with only 9 it leads to weirdly shaped maps. Agreed as well with the aesthetics of the new buildings. My first thought seeing them is it looks jarring. Level 1 buildings are great! Make them historic. I think for higher tier buildings I would demolish until I could a layout that looked appealing, but that’s time consuming and don’t think many people will do that. I’d also consider making very small districts to sprinkle these buildings into my city. Slight work arounds, but I’d prefer to not do that obviously. Great job!
Ive been saying the same about the last several map downloads. Cant get into the rail without building strange, non-square 9 tile. Ive been building and making the tiles straight, like a 5x2 (minus 1 tile) or big cross or even an L shaped map
I wish more content creators would talk about the 9 tile console thing when looking at maps. It would be great if the devs put more thought into it too when deciding where the squares fall.
Damn, I only found your video after I bought Cities Skylines on sale for console. And you are so right in your video. I have played thousands of hours on PC myself, creating my own maps and building my cities towards realism and detail. Due to hardware changes, I now "had" to switch to console. And yes, 9 tile limitation sucks. It would be somehow feasible if you could choose the starting tile yourself. That would be OK for me. I will never buy a map pack on console again, because the maps are simply not designed for console players, although these are actually the main customers for it. PC players have millions of maps in the workshop, they don't care about a map pack. And if there's nothing in it, they just build a map themselves. Why don't console players have a map editor? Sidai has built very nice maps, but unfortunately hardly any added value for consoles. CO should simply put more love into the 9 tiles in the future. Free choice of starting tile and maybe a selectable base theme, I love Boreal maps and that's where it gets even more annoying.
As someone who plays unmodded on PC, it’s very frustrating navigating the nine tile limitation. While I have the option to use mods to expand past nine, there are very few maps in the game period that really work with nine tiles, and in most cases, the argument of “why wouldn’t you build here?” Can make the city feel unfinished and unrealistic.
New mechanics? Good one all of them are level up this area, place new buildings, bla bla bla. They really need to change this is getting repetitive, it‘s the same DLC sold with different models every DLC
First MapPack was great, train access is very close and sometimes in the starting tile. Which is weird b/c one of the Airport maps is terrible in that regard.
I agree the financial buildings are definitely different. I think they were going for a mixed use look which those buildings irl are pretty strange too lol. I did like some of the maps though. Narrow passage works well imo if you follow the mountains but yes it’s a strangely shaped city. The tiles work pretty efficiently. The two you mentioned are definitely the two best on console
As a mostly console player myself, I don't think I have a single 9 tile city that is in the 3x3 shape. As I find it (while still disappointing not being able to use all the unique spaces on said map) I can at least reach at least a handful of nice spots to form a large unique city.
100% right. Thanks for the console review, especially the maps. Wouldn't it be great to see a 9 tile-focused map pack. We'd all grab that!! The Financial dlc (which I guess they'll patch), I bought, which I think means I spent £6 for a small bank 🤣
Will this game get a xbox S|X or PS5 edition? I didn't see no one talking about it. I play on Xbox SS and i think it can handle a 4x4 or a 5x5 tiles, or at least got a graphic upgrade or something.
@@MoveTheMouse the xbox ONE x, still being Xbox One edition, the Xbox Serie S and X are from next Gen. Thats why I think it would have a xbox Series Edition. I guess the xbox one x didnt have and edition for it bcuz of that, Ps4, ps4 slim ps4 pro still being PS4 edition Now ps5 and ps5 slin can be ps5 edition.
Thank you, Mouse! Thank you for the brief information about this FD DLC! I value your opinions and expertise and really advocating for us Cities Skylines fans both PC and console players. Sorry for my comment in the first FD DLC episode. I wanted to get a feel for the proper way to play this FD DLC. Now that you have and critiqued it, I can now decide for myself if I want to purchase it or not. Now that you have given your review, Paradox needs to update or fix the pause menu to make it a lot more playable. Thank you, Mouse! I am a huge fan of you and your content. Peace!
I am currently playing with the DLC and the map pack the Westdale map is beautiful, but nine tiles makes it tough. My city is odd shaped but seems to be working good the freeway entrance is weird. But it is a more user friendly map.
That's so weird, I just quit a game with the winding river map when I realised that there wasn't enough space. The first map pack was the same. A perfect example was the "eyeland" map, where the highways were all just out of reach if you unlock with 9 tiles. I honestly think I'll just miss any new map packs that come out on future unless there's an expansion to more than 9 tiles
When connections are just out of reach, it can be so frustrating. When you don't realize until a few hours into the build... [insert tea kettle boiling sound effect here]
As A Console Player, I Play On The PS4 Edition. I Do Have A Problem With 3x3. I Would Like To Have 81 Tiles. To Me, It's Like Telling A Painter They Are Only Allowed To Paint Their Portrait In The Middle Of The Canvas. Allow Me To Express My City The Way I Choose. If They Would Make The Map An 81 Grid & They Would Allow The Player To Choose Where To Place The First Tile It Wouldn't Be As Bad. I Still Prefer Having The Whole Map From The Start. Just Like The First City Building Game I Played SimCity 2000.
I have no interest in financial districts, but I bought the map pack outright. The first thing I did was preview them to consider how I would build them and specifically how would I do it with just 9 tiles. I'm a PC player, so I *can* use 25 or 81 tiles, but I typically don't. I thought there were plenty of maps that made sense to play with just 9. Table Mountains especially felt like not only was it playable on 9 but it was playable in two different directions. If your sole criteria is "there are only 9 usable tiles and my city could not possibly grow beyond them anyway," then yes, they're bad maps. But that's being disingenuous. I play a map until I get bored of it, and frequently that's well before I even get to 9 tiles. I think 9 tiles itself as a limitation is dubious. I think that there are times when I'm glad I have the ability to open up 25 so I can build the highway connections I want even if I'm doing literally nothing else in that tile. I also agree with you in other regards that mapmakers are atrocious about considering 9-tile limitations, as I hate buying tiles just to be able to pull a rail line out or whatever. But I don't get "there's still buildable land left!" being the reason to nix a map. I guess I just don't commit as heavily to my builds as you do. I have 1074 hours according to Steam, and I number my savegames -- I'm on #95 today. So that's an average of 11-12 hours per save game without a lot of detailing work.
I will add that I don't love these maps. I'm not really saying it's a good pack to buy in general. Map Pack 1 had much more interesting options IMO. I just don't agree with the argument being presented against it.
Thanks for the informative and candid review on the DLC for console gamers. I had watched some stuff on the financial districts DLC and I agree on your take on the buidlings being quantity and not quality. As for the making money - yeah, I can't remember the last time I was concerned about my budget on a city so that does nothing for me. I haven't bought a new DLC in a long time. I might pick up Plazas and Skyscrapers. Those look good. Just wish there was a sale on the PS Store on DLC. I thought there might be given they just released new DLC. Oh well. Anyway - thanks for the review and I always enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas Mouse!
I do agree with much of what you said...but can it be fixed? The concept is fine, the buildings help fill out the skyline. The mini-game can work with the limits. I made it to the levels needed to unlock the levels. So now I don't need to play the mini-game anymore. As for the maps there are older maps that are problematic for 9 tiles. Then again, I can turn on unlimited resources and soil and still build good cities. I can not afford a gaming pc...So I play with what I got!
I play on Xbox 100% but because of stuff like this I’ve been considering a PC. I wouldn’t even know where to begin with building one - would anyone know of something that’s ready to go straight from the manufacturer that can handle CS?
That's a really open ended question. There are a ton of pre-builts that can play CS (most) but HOW do you want to play? Heavily modded could use more power, but most of all, if you are planning of lots of custom assets (buildings, trees, etc.) that can EAT tons of RAM. I have 64 GB of RAM and can max it out easily. Also WHERE you are in the world would change what vendor I might recommend. I'd check out a channel like Gamers Nexus, they do hardware reviews, but also review pre-builts, and a lot of them are pretty bad. Be careful where you spend your money. MainGear is my recommendation in the US for pre-built PCs.
I am on PS5, I agree 100% with what you said. Have you put your views in the forums, if that does not happen by a video will bring their attention but, will less likely force their hands.
Interesting video and fully get your argument. How well Does the game run now on console. With all DLC’s on pc no mods or assets uses 18gb Ram. I know console is restricted to 16gb ram. How much longer can paradox support console anyway?
RAM tends to be the biggest issue with assets but it's definitely starting to feel the pressure. I've encountered more bugs in the last 6 weeks than I have in the last 6 years. If they don't make some improvements to graphical glitches, I expect it to get worse before it gets better.
MTM, can you comment further about these (or other) maps with the Remastered version and the 25 tiles in mind? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks a lot.
That's the plan! BUT I can't access most of the DLCs yet in the remaster. And the more recent DLCs, like Map Pack 2, Financial Districts, and Plazas and Promenades are not yet remastered. Hopefully those come soon. When they do, this is a fantastic idea to take a look how 25 tiles impacts the map choices.
I agree, We need more maps that work in 9 tiles. And for heaven sakes why cant console players get parking lots. I love the game, just wish they would think more about console players,
Interesting review, personably I disagree, but I do like debating :) I’m a console and PC player, but only played this DLC on my Xbox so far. Personally I love it - I’ve been making some buildings historical to keep them low. Also - you can delete the stock exchange and start it again if it’s not to your taste.
Time not passing when viewing stock prices is my biggest complaint and I think they are already working to address it. Historical is a must. I love some of the level one buildings but I'm really torn on most of the 2 and 3s. Thanks for the respectful disagreement
Hey everyone. I recently upgraded to the ps5 version of the game. I was game sharing on ps4 so I had all dlc’s, this is not the case on ps5. I bought the financial districts package on ps4 and it has not come over to ps5. Does anyone know if there are dependencies that would stop it from working?
DLCs after Airports are not released yet. So no Plazas, no Financial Districts, no CCPs. More DLC is coming to PC, Xbox, and PS next week. That DLC will also NOT be on Remastered yet. No date announced when it will arrive.
The DLCs in this video are NOT Remastered yet. So no 25 tiles on these maps yet. Also most of the maps still have the same problem with 25 tiles. They were mostly built with 81 in mind.
Apparently they are already working on it. They should be able to address my main complaint of time not passing when looking at stock prices. It makes stocks a chore, not a game. It's supposed to be fun. Right?
I wonder if they can do more tiles on the current gens instead of the older ones. I feel like paradox thinks of console as an afterthought. It's what they are showing for their CK3 game as well. Thank you for the review though, I will not be buying this expansion because of your review and also there's no point in it, in my opinion just like the Airplanes DLC.
That's the reason me and my husband are going to buy a good gaming computer I wish they would make it better for consoles players and would like more than 9 tiles in the game 🎮 with a bit more of what computers have they can make great gameplay for consoles play so why not everyone can't afford to buy a good gaming computer
Don't skip, yes you can inside trade....but with some imagination and "not cheating" it does fluctuate....however. build more generic and it goes up. Follow the "totally legit" stock it changes.
Seems the company is trying to make up revenue during rough times. Disappointing they push console to the last position release a PC aspect & hide the fact they don't invest more in the console department. Ps5 has much more power to def run a new game instead of them investing into a new game to do much more. When blind greed overshadows results in unhappiness, lack of interest & loss of revenue!
Awesome someone that agrees with me - Warning long read I’m a pc player now so I’ll be able to change all this up but on the building aesthetics Here’s my gripe - Animal crossing I find babyish and Those original cities skylines buildings with all those abominations and chirpers are far more suited to the cell phone gaming app audience ages 10 to 14 it’s a very Animal crossing phone App style that’s just not for me (btw the origins of Colossal Order were for cell phone gaming apps-)when I saw all the bank buildings I just shudder at how sickly basic candy shop stylistic they are - I hate them visually and having skyscrapers build up on them makes them even worse - Not to worry I’ll make fine use of them using P.O. (Procedural Objects) I guess this is down to being a able to mod my buildings and enhance them graphically and texturally I find these buildings so poorly designed but when I first played on console I thought they were just fine. On the Map front I kinda agree with the 9 Tiles statement but then again I’ve never thought this was a game designed for console players - I had always wondered when first playing why was there a huge nap but you could only build in the middle what was the point of the rest? Then I realized it was for pc players. and I eventually became accepting of my fate Same as I would of the New maps today. As an original console player I felt constantly cheated or treated unfairly by the limitations I had as a player even more so on a PlayStation, Xbox users get a better version (check out trying to play Skyrim on PlayStation Compared to XBOX) XBOX console players have some limitations removed and do you know what? I’m kinda fine with that as I learned as with most games there’s a console version for gamers who like to have fun and if you want to take your gaming seriously get a PC I’m lucky enough to now have a PC though I had to go thru my whole childhood never having a PC and wishing that I could do all the things with my games as people do on TH-cam it wasn’t til last year that I got a PC so that’s a whole 17 years of my life just on console. I still own both console versions but I’ll never play cities skylines on console again, for me this game is my serious gaming title. But when I was an original console player I would of called out to Colossal Order creators of Skylines on ignoring the console players and if I had more of a rep in the industry and a voice that could be heard, right now I’d making waves and making them pay attention to all the issues you’ve correctly placed before us. Move that Mouse your 99% correct in everything you say and I’ll back you on this but I’ll always have in mind There’s a console version for those who want to have some fun and there’s a PC version for those that wants to take their gaming seriously and I’m accepting of that (hey who’s to say that it was always Colossal and Paradox’s intention to give console players a taster of what could be done and to entice them over to play this on PC as was always their intention) Don’t forget it was on PC for two years before coming to console and Colossal Orders game before this was Cities in motion and was pc only as Colossal Order is a PC focused Game developer though after about what is it ? 11 years later they would expand on having focused on console players as well I guess they’re still young as in the terms of games they’ve created but naively experienced in reaching out to a wider audience so to conclude Yes I agree with you but I’m accepting of what we have right now
@@usernameiphone3gkid I promise to use them in future. was typing on my cellphone and lazily didn’t wanna proof read my comment as I was just letting it flow all out and didn’t wanna stop my flow if u get my reasons.

I notice the CS Twitter has been liking and nudge nudge wink wink on more than 9 tiles the last day or so, so not sure if something is going on or it's just trolling
It would require extra work on the developer's part because there needs to be freeway connecting whatever tile you would choose and highway in every square isn't a good solution
I wish console had many PC features like being able to see terrain height while putting down roads would be so nice
This is an underrated feature! Good call-out.
Agreed
Exactly! And while working with bodies of water, it's SO annoying not being able to see how I'm really terraforming a river
Honestly, I haven't bought the DLC yet, which is weird coz I usually get the new DLC immediately as soon as it is available. Maybe because of the timing? coz they just released P&P very recently; or maybe just disappointed with the free patch update vs. with what was on the patch note. Because then you could at least get to where you wanted to go with your city and the limitation isn't as big of a deal. Or at least a deal breaker. Choosing a starting tile could be a fun workaround.

Great content thanks for your work.
The only map I play on is 7 lakes on the mass transit DLC. It is heavily forested outside of the 3x3 9 tiles making it look really natural. You can terraform it to get rid of some lakes and it can be a totally different map every time.
Gotta check that one out.
My favorite as well
@@MoveTheMouse - this is a top console map (for example, one tile gives you just enough sea connection for a port, but no more). Emmanuel is spot on. And if you don't terraform or tunnel under the lakes, it provides a really nice transit challenge.

Its the unmodded and console players that need this kind of DLC the most, and it's NOT designed for us.
Fully agree. thank you for making a point on this , especially you, who are listened to!
If I ever get around to making the DLC tier list, this one is getting it's own category at the bottom of the stack.
This looks like a DLC they would have released in 2017
I totally agree the buildings are just so bad and weird.
Dude you are so right about the maps! As an only console player, it frustrates me so much when the maps just don't work in your favor!
They need a stock ticker scrolling bottom of screen!
Agree 100% with this review of both the dlc & the maps. Nice video man. Appreciate you looking out for us console peeps 🙌
“why wouldn’t you build here?” Can make the city feel unfinished and unrealistic."
New mechanics? Good one all of them are level up this area, place new buildings, bla bla bla. They really need to change this is getting repetitive, it‘s the same DLC sold with different models every DLC
The first map pack dlc is better for console and beginner players
First MapPack was great, train access is very close and sometimes in the starting tile. Which is weird b/c one of the Airport maps is terrible in that regard.
The 9 tiles doesn't bother me that much. I make it work it. Sometimes it's a challenge.
1st Console need: Traffic Manager
YES!
We need HUGO
They just don't seem to care about us console players, they only really use us to sell overpriced DLC
I'd settle for some more asymmetric roads we could use around key intersections. Any way we can trick the AI to go the way we want would be welcomed.
@@MoveTheMouse they have sort of teased a next gen version
It’s so unfair how this game has been mistreated I stopped caring playing a month ago
They didn't do anything for Xbox One X, don't see why that would change now for Xbox Series X.
@@MoveTheMouse the xbox ONE x, still being Xbox One edition, the Xbox Serie S and X are from next Gen. Thats why I think it would have a xbox Series Edition.
I guess the xbox one x didnt have and edition for it bcuz of that,
Ps4, ps4 slim ps4 pro still being PS4 edition
Now ps5 and ps5 slin can be ps5 edition.
Peace!
Ok I thought it was only me. It’s not very intuitive to check the stock market prices.
I am currently playing with the DLC and the map pack the Westdale map is beautiful, but nine tiles makes it tough. My city is odd shaped but seems to be working good the freeway entrance is weird. But it is a more user friendly map.
Omg ,,thank you ,thank tou for saying 9 title i want more like 18 title not in a square either
[insert tea kettle boiling sound effect here]
@@MoveTheMouse definitely! Thankfully I cottoned on when trying to figure out where to put my second tile and noticed the limitations.
You right it's a mess for us I have been playing it and I am having a lot of problems
Bought map pack 2 and African Vibes. Glad I waited on financial districts. What you say makes sense, Mouse.
I don't blame the map creator. I blame Colossal Order. They should have map design standards for this.
Standards would be a great start.
Plazas and Promenades and the Skyscrapers CCP are both recommended.
And Merry Christmas to you as well!
Thank you for this. I didn't buy the dlc yet and thanks for this. Perhaps once they fix it I'll buy it. For now. I'll enjoy what I have. ♥️
I am a partnered creator, so hopefully this forum is enough ;-)
Your right
I hope cities skylines people watch and learn from this
Keep safe ARP
This is why we need more than 9 tiles
I'm just asking for maps that consider that limitation. I would take more tiles, but I would also settle for maps that realize the problem.
Keep fighting the good fight for console players! We salute you!
I wish you played all the games i do ,then you could make videos on thoses games as well i love your thinking speak for me man ,...you rule
Curious if you would recommend the dlcs for remastered edition ( when they are available)?
Does this mean you can only buy in at the going rate of shares at point of placing stock exchange? Or is it a glitch. ?
I agree with you only wish you you'd have done this b4 I bought both...🤔🤣😂🤣
Interesting video and fully get your argument. How well
Does the game run now on console.
@@MoveTheMouse if you ever get a e6gsy map pack, I promise I will make sure I will try and keep everyone happy 😆
I found that if you wait three days, that seems to be the correct time to sell
It depends on change in service levels not time.
I 100 percent agree with you on this one
14:02 what map is this here?
I love the game, just wish they would think more about console players,
Can't really build an American city without parking lots. That would be a nice addition even if they were only decorative.
I only bought the DLC and the map pack just because it looks like Nyc the buildings and the banks.
Interesting review, personably I disagree, but I do like debating :)
I’m a console and PC player, but only played this DLC on my Xbox so far.
Completely agree on the time not passing thing, very annoying!
12 tiles would be more ideal.. i find myself jus needing a few more tiles all the time
Hey everyone.
@@MoveTheMouse thank you for the clarification. I should have asked you first. I called Sony pissed off.
That sucks so bad cause im a console player and was looking forward to this
well we have now 25 tiles with the remastered edition, thats quite huuge.
The DLCs in this video are NOT Remastered yet. So no 25 tiles on these maps yet.
Also most of the maps still have the same problem with 25 tiles. They were mostly built with 81 in mind.
What is the campus cheese?
You can build inexpensive campuses using a bunch of cheap buildings like book clubs to get to top tier 5 star status and take it a ton of cash.
Would they be able to create an update and resolve the problem?
Apparently they are already working on it. They should be able to address my main complaint of time not passing when looking at stock prices. It makes stocks a chore, not a game. It's supposed to be fun. Right?
I wonder if they can do more tiles on the current gens instead of the older ones. I feel like paradox thinks of console as an afterthought. It's what they are showing for their CK3 game as well.
Thank you for the review though, I will not be buying this expansion because of your review and also there's no point in it, in my opinion just like the Airplanes DLC.
That's the reason me and my husband are going to buy a good gaming computer I wish they would make it better for consoles players and would like more than 9 tiles in the game 🎮 with a bit more of what computers have they can make great gameplay for consoles play so why not everyone can't afford to buy a good gaming computer
thanks i was thinking of buying it.
Don't skip, yes you can inside trade....but with some imagination and "not cheating" it does fluctuate....however. build more generic and it goes up. Follow the "totally legit" stock it changes.
Also single squares build gas stations for your oil.
How did you get that dlc on console?
I got it for free from the publisher but it's available on the Xbox and PlayStation stores.
Why is this not on ps5
Well at least it gives console players some new maps. We don't have other options.
I agree with everything you said, I play on PS5
lucky i have a laptop so i can play these maps all i want.
As a console player.. I agree to everything you said. 😢
I got both them bc I have all of them on Xbox.
Insider trading simulator.
Awesome someone that agrees with me - Warning long read
I’m a pc player now so I’ll be able to change all this up but on the building aesthetics Here’s my gripe - Animal crossing I find babyish and Those original cities skylines buildings with all those abominations and chirpers are far more suited to the cell phone gaming app audience ages 10 to 14 it’s a very Animal crossing phone App style that’s just not for me (btw the origins of Colossal Order were for cell phone gaming apps-)when I saw all the bank buildings I just shudder at how sickly basic candy shop stylistic they are - I hate them visually and having skyscrapers build up on them makes them even worse - Not to worry I’ll make fine use of them using P.O. 11 years later they would expand on having focused on console players as well I guess they’re still young as in the terms of games they’ve created but naively experienced in reaching out to a wider audience so to conclude
Yes I agree with you but I’m accepting of what we have right now
Oh on the financial time freeze their will be a patch coming for that
