You're wrong in so many different ways; yes cheap cards are inherently anti synergistic with snecko eye but what decides the value of snecko eye is not how much energy it saves but simply how efficient every card is in your deck. Also it's crazy that you're trying to backseat someone who, judging by your reply, I can guarantee is miles better than you in slay the spire
@@sirtetrisI'm completely new to slay the spire so forgive me if this is a silly question. How isn't the value of snecko eye how much energy it saves? It seems to me like it instantly makes any cheap cards significantly worse because it's more likely the cost of the cards will increase. It feels like unless you're already building a deck around high cost cards, snecko eye will just screw you over more often than not by making stuff more expensive.
@@gametheory3458 Snecko Eye, mathematically, sets the average cost of each card in your deck to 1.5. Any 1 cost cards then on average become more expensive, but any 2 cost or higher cards become less expensive. This increases your efficiency if you focus on playing high value cards, which the extra draw allows you to do more often. Additionally, that extra draw and randomized cost also means you are likely to be able to play at least one 0 cost card each turn, since you roll effectively a 1d4-1 7 times each turn.
@@gametheory3458The thing that makes snecko eye busted isn't the cost randomization. Its the "draw 2 extra cards per turn". In regards to the cost randomization, yes you get more energy savings if you take high cost cards, but you dont win by saving energy, you win by playing cards that allow you to handle the enemies you're going to face, particularly the ones that will give you a challenge. For example, bludgeon vs feed, you'd save more energy going for bludgeon yes, but who cares? Bludgeon is just frontloaded single target damage, something the ironclad can usually easily get a lot of. Feed allows you to scale up to deal with harder fights and also effectively improves your regen allowing you to rest less and upgrade more cards

Now what did we learn?
Clash is a lot of damage, more than many 2 cost cards. Cost isn't relevant with snecko, value is. Clash has a lot of value. It's like trying to say Carnage is always better than Body Slam with Snecko because it costs 3 while the latter costs 0. Maybe in some decks, but not in many others.
@@Sinzariare you stupid? Clash is even worse in snecko decks than in regular decks, and cards are priced in accordance with their effect.

@@Sinzari Sever Soul is 2 more damage and can be played when Clash cant, and can exhaust statuses or skills you don't want. Clash was never "the angle". At no point was Clash the card that was the best choice for the deck. It was a "Sever Soul angle", which is already impressive when you consider how low it's on his tier list and how rarely he takes it.
Clash was just an inferior alternative that happened to be not terrible enough to warrant deleting. Without Snecko there are a few decks that might actually want a Clash, but that's not what we have.
Not that I'm blaming them for using a click bait title that gets people to look at the video. It's their job.
When basically every card in your deck is an attack and you have corruption then yes, I suppose it is a clash angle

Funny story, when I 1st started playing StS the deck that I gravitated towards exactly what Frost is playing here, a clash with dual wields, sever soul, and the rest was cheap filler. As a noobie it was so hard to get to the Act 3 bosses, not even talking about killing one in the 1st place. I later realized that the deck was not really operational due to status effects unless you had medpack or other exhaust synergies. It the hit me that Clash is not that great of a card, yet I still take it time to time because freak you that's why.
I haven't watched it yet, I say that it isn't a clash angle, it is him trying to make clash work after getting it in a Pandora's box

Question for andrew, do TH-cam analitics care about the playback speed of the video ? like does it count as more of a view if you watch on 0.5 than 2 ?
Yes, it increases Watchtime, which the algorithm usually likes. So an hour video at .5 speed counts as watching a two hour video, while watching at 2x speed only counts as watching for the 30 minutes.

Clash is actually underrated. It's kinda like judgment
it can be really good but, Ascenders bane existing considerably lowers its viability, especially on Act 1 which is when Clash shines the most in my opinion.

Not sure if you are trolling either, but at higher ascensions the birds take 4 hits to be grounded. You can kinda see a 4 next to the wing effect.

man snecko is so ass, you need to take nothing but high cost cards because if you only have 0 and 1 cost cards in your deck it has way higher chance to F you over. for a 2 cost card only bad if it costs 3. for a 3 cost card there is only neutral or positive outcomes.
