- Jesse Greene is a bona fide regenerative cattleman. His easy going nature makes you want to lean in and focus on every word he has to say. He manages his farm the way a scientist would manage a world class experiment, but this is no experiment. At 86 years old, Jesse knows exactly how to manage his pastures and animals down the itsy bitsy spiders webs in the morning dew. Our conversation will make you feel like you’re having lunch with your grandpa.

These are the folks we should be listening to, the old timers who don’t overcomplicate everything. This man hadn’t even heard of daily rotation nor cared about the nutritional makeup of his pastures lol. I feel like we make stuff too hard too often by jumping on trends.
That is so true!!! I was even confused asking him, and I giggled as he was said, I just focus on the grass and life cycle of parasites. And how he watches for spider webs literally knocked me off my feet! I could have talked to him for hours longer!!
Aye that's my grandpa! It's a beautiful farm we always love visiting he is an amazing man! And by the way yes you can tell his beef is soooo much better then store bought! You can tell the difference it tastes and makes you feel so much better it's just all together better for you
Hi!! That’s so great! Your grandpa is such an amazing guy! I am very grateful to have been able to talk with him!
That's my father in law! He is a great man, very wise, and a 1 of a kind. We live a few hours from him and visit when we can.
Hi!! He really is so great!! I’m sure you cherish him but he was so welcoming to us and his knowledge is amazing! We are so thankful to have met him!
I love how he worked for the man for 6 years to leave the man and join the farm. He’s happy and healthy and self sufficient with out chem/gmo or any other BS, just clean living. Love this man!
This man is a bad ass hard man. Full of wisdom would have loved a dad like this man would have squeezed every ounce of wisdom he had in him.
He is pretty cool!! I could have talked for hours with him.
This was really awesome to watch. God bless this man.
Thank you!! He is quite a gem for sure!
Your "tuition" comment made me think of the relationship of tuition and the word intuition. Thanks.
This was such an enjoyable interview. Love being able to share your journey ✨️
Thank you so much!! That’s a great way to relate the words! Yes.
Thank you Jesse I learned so much. Jesus said there will always be seed time and harvest. Nature's timing is so important. Thank you.
Talking with him was such a joy!! Glad you learned from it too!
I had a very small one man business yrs ago Me that was it 365. I used to occasionally hire help and pay them with $ and buy their lunch, feed your help and they'll come back. When helping with wheat harvest the farmers wives came out twice a day and feed us the help. You need to understand human nature along with nature itself. You can't expect anyone else to do anything you're not willing to do yourself. Life will teach you lessons if you pay attention 😊
So true! ❤️
I love the quality of the people your videos highlight. This gentleman has adapted to his climate and cattle. He is smart as can be.
Thank you so much!!! We really aren’t picky about the types of farmers we ask to come visit, but I think our focus of talking WITH the farmer, without an agenda or interview based questions, allows them to just be themselves, to share their authentic story. And that’s why we do this, these stories aren’t being told and they should be!! Anyway, Jesse is amazing and such a great person! We are so grateful for the time we got to spend with him! ❤️
Ok, I loved watching the video video interview that you did with Jarhead Farm and because I watched that you showed up in my feed with this old guy.
I LOVE THIS INTERVIEW. So now I’m following your channel because you’re two for two with me, girl!!!

I could have talked to him for hours more! Meeting him was so wonderful!! So glad you enjoyed him as well!
Love this man. Very interesting and I like his observations on grazing the pastures clean. It falls right in line with what I've been learning about "total grazing". Looking forward to implementing some of Jesse's practices. Thanks for a great video!
Hey!! You found it! I sure hope his wisdom helps you out and you can see some improvement through it! Also, it was great visiting with you today!! I can’t wait for your video to go out! ❤️

Thank you so much!! I felt like I was talking to my grandpa 🥲 he was so sweet and kind and so so knowledgeable!!
Great show
Thank you!!
Thank you so much for such great information!!
Thank you!!! ❤️
This video is exceptional! It would be wonderful if you could help this gentleman write a book on his grass knowledge😅
Thank you so much!!! Oh the things he could tell in a book like that!!! ❤️❤️
Thanks, this young man gets more work done by breakfast than most men do all day long! You know why I know that? My dad taught me that a fartin horse will never tire, a fartin man is the man to hire! My farm/house is 1/2 mile from Redmond minerals, can smell garlic when they make their garlic infused salt.
Hahaha! I love that saying!! So glad you enjoyed Jesse’s story!
I'd like to talk to this gentleman. I'm in Florida and will travel from the Tampa area to visit him. I'd also like to talk to the gentleman that mulches with only hay in the Tampa area.
All of their contact information is in the video description.
Love❤❤❤this. Glad I came across this video. Subscribed
Thank you so much!!! Jesse is amazing!
❤ ❤ ❤
This man is a treasure……wish I knew half of what he’s forgot about making a living off the land.
Absolutely!!!
Big farm corporation/and slaughterhouse manage this around the world. You can buy meat in Uruguay, argentina from
Canada and 🇺🇸. And meat from brazil or uruguay here in usa. Non corporate big farmers and costumer around the world need to connect and help each other. And past wisdom to young future farmers
Yes!
Love how he uses a different mgmt style on grazing
Yes! Me too! ❤️
OS MEUS SINCEROS PARABENS,, ??? AOS DOIS UMA EXCELENTE LIÇÃO DE VIDA, OBRIGADO
Thank you so much! We loved meeting him! Such a kind soul. And his farm was beautiful!
He has learned a lot and unfortunately the community may lose his wisdom and work ethic.
I was thinking him not wanting to hire. He was talking to a 28 year old.
Now imagine Greg Judy or Joel Salatin talking to him. Really appreciating and plenty of been there done that.
Then maybe he would be willing to take on an intern. One from them, respectful and hard working.
Joel and Greg don't have land in Florida. So they don't know his context, fancy word. But they sure would be respectful.
Ps I am 60, little farm experience so 28 with experience 6th generation, you are way closer.
Absolutely. That’s a good thought too about talking to someone older, maybe. But also, I think he genuinely loves the work he does and while he slows down some of his enterprises, I don’t think he’ll ever stop to retire. ❤️
Hurray NAFTA.
