Without exception they are amazed that the mental fog lifts in less than an hour, their stomach calms down, and even their flatulence decreases. I love how they all want their almond milk etc, yet don’t moan about how much water etc it takes to produce it. Milk a cow if you want to save the environment.
I've never tried almond milk but I always would've just assumed that it was milk with something added to artificially flavor it like almonds. Just like chocolate milk or strawberry milk, and similar to how there's eggnog and also some variations of eggnog like vanilla eggnog and pumpkin eggnog (variations which the stores always try to push by providing the same stock as the regular eggnog even though nobody ever seems to buy the variants while the regular eggnog is consistently selling out). I had no idea that almond milk was... Sorry, what actually is it then? Is it just made from almonds alone? How do you even get a liquid out of that? Wouldn't it be more likely to turn into a spreadable paste similar to peanut butter?
The production of almond milk takes the highest amount of water consumption of all plant milks, but that's still only about half of the water consumption needed for cow milk.
Lol. It's like: "Don't worry about their safety, they're Gen Z protestors: they wouldn't place themselves into any position from which they can't quickly run away from." 😂

I'm so tired of protesters not doing their due diligence to research something before getting so emotional. Do they know how much water it takes to grow almonds? Tons. And almond milk costs more to Starbucks than dairy milk does, so obviously the cost of certain products would be more. By their logic they would protesting every grocery store that sold both types of "milk." Anyway, almond milk is obviously not actually milk anyway. It's water, almonds, and sugar. They are equating two very different things.
How to stop these lunatics: arrest every one of them for obstructing private property. It's unacceptable that they are allowed to completely stop multiple businesses from being able to do business.
Well the alternative milks are more expensive because less people drink them so the companies making them don't benefit from economies of scale. Starbucks might also have to have more fridge space in stores which increases electricity bills. All this is the fault of a tiny proportion of consumers demanding alternatives. Makes sens they should pay more when the normal cow milk drinkers aren't the cause of new additional costs.

@@kedb621 It's the farmers that wean them. That doesn't happen in nature. Domestic goats are also very different from wild goats. It's almost like humans bred them to be that way.
It pains a cow not to be milked because humans have selectively bred cows to produce ten times more milk than they naturally do. The only reason cows produce milk in the first place is to nourish their babies, which is why cows need to give birth before they start lactating. The solution is NOT to forcibly impregnate a cow against her will to cause her to start lactating, then prevent her baby from breastfeeding from their mom by separating them from each other so we can milk a cow who would only feel pain when not milked because of a problem we created in the first place.
And it never occurs to these yahoos that vegan milk is significantly more expensive than dairy milk? Starbucks isn't making more profit on vegan drinks than regular drinks.

If what I am seeing in the video and the concrete looks like it does, it means that they just put they’re feet in it and have 1-2 hours before it solidifies. Longer the exposure, worse the burns will be. Hope this helps you understand!
Not as much as the amount of water used to grow the plants to feed the cow. And then you have to add to that the amount of water the cow has to drink to produce an unnaturally large amount of milk. I’m not an environmentalist, but your knowledge of environmental activism sucks.
@willbyrob6582 you obviously have zero knowledge of dairy farming or cattle. In my area, no excess water is used to grow hay or water cows. The water comes from rain.
I'm sure they are just standing in cement blocks with some non hardening liquid on top like wet flour. If they had stuck their feet in wet cement they'd risk losing their feet to burns and tissue damage because quickcrete. There was a girl who lost fingers while making a plaster cast in an arts class. Shoes might protect some, but nah they didn't do it for real because the burns can be very serious, like losing toes.
As someone who used to make their own cashew/almond/oat milks at home, you best believe I'd be charging a little extra for all the extra work that goes into it. So much work for so little product...
I feel like vegans should be good with drinking milk. Cause like if cows don't get milked while their lactating, they can totally die from not being milked...
Starbucks is just overpriced coffee. Why wouldn't the vegan "milk" (not milk) be overpriced as well? A $10 coffee is fine but a $10.90 coffee with imitation milk is outrageous gouging!
Some missed chances for video inserts here: 1) When Brett laments barely missing the protest, the video of Homer telling the story of the time he could have met Mr. T at the mall. 2) When Brett talks about then being out and protesting on a Thursday morning, the clip of the real Jeff Lebowski asking “do you have a job, sir?”
Brett, grass fed beef and milk is not always good. It has no positive difference on the beef or milk,if anything it is taking away some nutritional benefits. Grass fed does not equal healthy cow. Cows need protein and substance, that’s why you can have grain fed too and they will be just had happy. I encourage you to look into this and maybe do a episode about it because no a lot of people know this. 8:56
None of their logic is grounded in facts, reasoning or logic. They think veganism is the end all be all. For starters you have crops like lettuce that requite TONS of water for very little nutritional value. If we reduce factory farmed meats we're going to reduce the amount of organic fertilizer, such as manures. This will cause organic food to increase even more in cost due to organic fertilizers costing more due to there being less animal by-products used for organic fertilizer. So organic fertilization for mass food production is out. That leaves synthetic salt based fertilizers, which are HORRIBLE for the environment. Salt based nutrients essentially poison the ground with toxic levels of salt buildup that destroys the beneficial bacteria/microbes in the soil. Not to mention this creates toxic runoff to go straight into rivers. You can't magically just decide to replace that huge cow pasture with crops, just because land is there, doesn't mean you can get things to grow in it. This nonsense is coming from people that's never even touched actual soil in their lives.
The argument against that is we also have to produce enough food/grains to feed the animals before we eat the animals. So we are clearing land for crops to feed the animals as well as crops to feed humans. Ive seen information for both sides but as we know, data can easily be manipulated and there are interest groups on both sides that have incentive to mislead with the data. Ive decided to eat a vegan diet but still dont know which set of data to believe. Its all become too intertwined in political tribalism
So basically, this was all one big fat nirvana fallacy. Just because veganism isn’t a perfect solution doesn’t mean it is better than the current agricultural system in place today.
Also, why does almondmilk (a term I **loathe** along with any other vegetable "milk") cost more? Well, for decades upon decades there have been machines that are fitted to cow nipples to extract milk. Now that you want milk extracted from beans and nuts, they need to make new machines to fit those nipples, DUH! That costs money!

I'm so tired of protesters not doing their due diligence to research something before getting so emotional. Do they know how much water it takes to grow almonds? Tons. And almond milk costs more to Starbucks than dairy milk does, so obviously the cost of certain products would be more. By their logic they would protesting every grocery store that sold both types of "milk." Anyway, almond milk is obviously not actually milk anyway. It's water, almonds, and sugar.

Yeah but that would have required you to go close to a Starbucks. Which is horrible in itself.
I would never go in a Starbucks they have them all over the place here but I like Dutch Brothers
The hardest part of being vegan is having to wake up at 3 AM to milk the almonds
