A puppy will snatch the removed hair from the product as you are standing there, marveling at how well the device works! This happened to me with my German Shepherd puppy. Release the hair when the comb gets full, and keep the pup away from the previously-removed bunch of hair. A pup is more mischievous than an older dog.
It appears as though his under coat is mostly removed. I got more undercoat in 1 stroke than she did with many strokes. If you go repeatedly over the same spot, you will "shred" your dog's beautiful coat, like I did. Use a light hand!
That's such a good boy. My dog won't stay still when I brush her. She seems to be annoyed by it a lot, and she gets agitated from seeing the clumps of her hair.
Thank you 😊 for sharing this look very helpful for am going to buy one for my border collie 5 years old boy Oreo oh I wish I had known about that before the past 5 years it’s a nightmare for my husband to see Oreo furs all over 🥰🥰🥰
If these are your dogs they play eat drink together I don’t think so. So I wouldn’t grab random dogs from the street and use it in them and then in yours
That red head collar thing looks so tight i dont think he has much choice but to be calm lol looks like he can’t even open his mouth to breathe. Makes me feel claustrophobic just looking at it! Poor dog lol I know what they are and I’ve seen them before but I didn’t know they were supposed to be so tight
Stupidest question ever : how do you put on the plastic cover that protects the teeth?? I bought a Furminator but the cover just doesn't seem to fit... yeah, you can laugh!
No. It would take extreme force to rip out a healthy hair. Just like with humans. If the hair is ready to come out; it should come out without too much of a fuss. Usually if you ARE being to rough; the dog will definitely show signs that you need to be gentler :) my Shiba Inu loves being brushed
@@gigglybeast I can tell that you're trying so hard to be difficult. In which case maybe you just shouldn't use a furminator if you've already succumbed to false information. All dogs coats are different. Some have a double coat some don't. The ones that have an undercoat and are in their shedding season; it does not "cut" hair that is deeply rooted. It simply lifts the dead stuff up and out. You can try to brush all you want for as long as you want on a double coat dog; but believe me, you WILL know when there is no more undercoat to come out haha. Furminator are more commonly used for double coated dogs. For dogs with only one coat, a slicker brush is best for them.
Not "outdoors on a windy day" what the heck... How about being responsible for your pets hair just like you pick up their 💩. The amount of hair these brushes produce is incredible. Don't unleash that on your local park or neighbors, TRY to put it in a bag or a five gallon bucket. Be considerate please.
@@aqualocks1111 Yeah and my dog's poop is simply organic fertilizer. Poof, now it's someone else's problem instead of mine. Haha, maybe I'm just speaking up for the allergy sufferers out there. Or I don't want their dogs hair collecting on my patio or yard, in my pool, etc.
@@CFSAGEVIP No one was referring to shit. They literally make small wire baskets to hang in trees to put your dogs hair (or your hair) in for birds to collect. It is a real thing. If someone wants to brush their dog outside it simply isn’t your business. You cannot control anyone but yourself.
@@aqualocks1111 I am talking about shit. That was the original comparison that I made. Irresponsible people that would dump 5 gallons of fur into the air at the park? Right. Got it. Perhaps you are one, maybe people can bring all their bird hair to your house? Just dump it on the edge of your yard (for the birds) so they can build their nests you love. SMH. Birds use all kinds of debris to build nests, and I hear they like French fries. Thank you so much my parents found this chihuahua and they don't want to keep her because she sheds so much and I think we might be able to keep her
Did you keep her ?
I've just adopted a chi frm a family member.
She also sheds a lots of hair.

I will take the clumps and put them into an old cup or something similar so it doesn’t fly everywhere. Then you can just dump it in the trash after!
Excellent explanation and demo of how to use it, thank you.
How do you know when your done? When he is bald?
2 minutes, rewards when start and finished
ha ha ha! I'm older and it did not remove the few hairs I have remaining on my head. Evidently I am also not shedding, thank the good Lord.
When the hair in the furminator starts to accumulate slower. That's usually a good indicator that most of the shed coat is out :)
Lol you funny
Pets Mart wanted 75 bucks to do this
How long does it last?
Thanks a lot! Ive been wondering why im pinching my dogs fur, and a whole bunch comes right off, I thought the fur just falls out, new knowledge 😁
Does the size really matter as long as you get the right coat
Why do some videos have audio problems when you watch on mobile and it sounds like it only comes out of one speaker
You can tell the dog enjoys that.

My dog is identical to Perry.
So adorable. 😁
The new Furminator is a life saver for me, but my allergies snap to attention when I dished my Rotterman 🤦🏽♀️🥺

devbang 😂
My dogs the same
Same
Lol mines rolls over on his back for me to use it only on his tummy

My American Eskimo Dog just laughs at the furminator. His coat is way too thick for this tool.
Is there a chance of spread of disease if you use your furminator on multiple dogs and cats or other
There absolutely is, mites, fleas, bacteria, and mange can be spread
If these are your dogs they play eat drink together I don’t think so. So I wouldn’t grab random dogs from the street and use it in them and then in yours
Do the cat ones and dog ones really differ that much I'm in animal care so there's a chance ill be using it a lot and need to save on money
Great video! Thank you for sharing.

My dog looks just like this one :D except he's a blue heeler / border collie mix (longer legs than this doggie)
Perry is EXQUISITE!

I have one for my dog. SHE LOVES IT.

Did you figure it out? It sounds like yours was broken upon arrival. There is no assembly required
M get a new one. It comes in one unit. Not a stupid question when you gain a solution. 😉
Hahaha?
th-cam.com/video/9Z4xTHKwp38/w-d-xo.html
Not a stupid question because I had the exact problem. It just doesn't seem like it's on there very good.
the doggy is so cute
What breed is Perry?
corgi? seems more border collie
Isn’t this just cutting off the finer hairs, not actually just removing "dead" or loose hairs?

@@Just1nist - I said cutting the fine hairs, not pulling them out at the root.
@@gigglybeast The answer remains the same. Nothing gets damaged or cut so long as you're gentle with it :)
@@Just1nist - what? it’s literally a trimmer. It cuts the hair of the undercoat.

The hair dissipates quickly and birds will use it for nests. No different than dead leaves or dust.
Birds and other small animals literally use the hair for nests/beds but go off lmao

Never use a Furminator on a show dog or cat
