After reaching top 10 mage in RBG (around 2.1k rating, this tells how little people play mage in RBG and how low the rating is), I got kicked out from the group because mage is not well balanced for RBG's. The meta for dps is basically 3 chickens 3 rogues and one DOT dps or an evoker. So yes I would like to have balance.
Expecting Sims level of customization is pretty crazy not going to lie. And there are a lot of people who would be fine with a selection of default houses that can be customized and decorated.
I think the people complaining about balance are just mad they aren't classic fury warrior levels above everyone else, or their DPS numbers don't make up for their inability to do anything other than hit damage buttons
I dunno which spec and class you play, but as a Hunter on the 13-15 key range, I've had days where I had to wait an hour or more to even get invited to a key, and then you have to hope it all goes fine or you have wasted almost 2 hours for nothing. Even though I usually outperform those playing the meta specs, those making the groups can't know that. People only want enhancement shamans and dks precisely because of tuning and utility. In raid, it's mostly fine but in M+ it certainly isn't.

Only started playing wow during Ulduar phase in wotlk and I see myself as basically a pvper that has raided throughout the years just to get better gear for pvp, so I never even raided mythic. I play for fun and was never really great at pvp. My highest rating was 2400 in Wotlk, but I think that's mostly because the huge majority of the pvpers didn't know exactly what they were doing back then. I quit the game before BFA pre patch, returned in SL and quit again after Korthia released. Came back to the game to play DF and honestly, from DF on, I am loving how balanced the game feels in comparison to any other expansion. I obviously don't play R1 matches but I feel like around 1800 - 2200cr there is no bad class/spec/hero talent. You really can just play whatever you want and get your desired cosmetics. The game is not what it used to be, that's for sure. But I don't agree with a lot of people saying that pvp is bad. It's just... different.
Wow has taken several things that swtor did and I’m for it. Legacy bank and player housing are great. Make the housing similar and it’ll be a huge success

I think it’s mostly the communities perception that balance is bad. People are so dubble downing on tierlists that everything that is not s+ is complete trash. And if you don’t play a s+ spec you won’t get invited. It’s the toxicity of the community that is the problem in my opinion.
