How Much? Studio Version, a song by d-t-b

There was a time on my journey when everything seemed to be falling apart and I had no more hope. So I asked myself, how much can a soul take? I sat down with the guitar and continued to stretch the thread, adding other aspects that can drive someone to despair. The third verse is intentionally open to fill with even more aspects. The parable of Peter on the lake reflects the soul that is drowning in distress. But the hand of Jesus reaches out and grasps it. In such situations we are allowed to reach out and be saved. To knock out the saving hand only brings us more into the swamp of despair.
This Song is just a sketch and needs proper recording with some more musicians. That version was produced in the studio in September 2023. It was written, played and recorded by d-t-b (Dave the Beaver, aka David Brandenberger). The lyrics are in this video subtitled. The scenes in the video are made in Christchurch, New Zealand / Aotearoa.
