Story wise, there are very few movie in this world can match this masterpiece. Seven Samurai. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. The Godfather. in Hongkong + China, even after almost 40 years, only Infernal Affair that ever came close.
What’s so great about this masterpiece is that the friendship and bromance between these three went beyond the film… someone asked Tommy (Ti Tung) if he would ever be keen for a remake of this classic, he resoundingly refused, saying that there was only one Leslie. chow Yun Fat also said similar thing in the past. By the way, that scene where Mark was shot in the head… the facial expression of Leslie was something else. The shock, horror and disbelief displayed in his face in that split second or two deserved an accolade. It was brilliant acting.

i wish they make this kind of movie right now to tell you the truth the difference from asia and america is if america make the same scene it look unreal but asia make it look real i dont know why its just true in my opinion but these are classic i love asia gangsta movies like the killer and tiger on the beat and hard boiled just hardcore action but still good and these movies are like 20 years ago and put it in the cinema and people still like it just classic
They had to ruin this scene with those god awful remastered sound effects. Upload it with the original mono sound effects, the gun shots sound so much better.

弟は刑事､兄は極道と進んだ道は違いましたが､最後はマークの援護で兄弟の絆を取り戻したシーンは感動ものでした｡｢キット､お前は自分の道を歩いただけだ!お前は正しかった｡｣

This really a remake version (from a Cantonese old film acting by TSE YIN and KA LING in 60s of last century) admitted by director John WU。
Just restore the 80's classic action film.
They already did in Korean 2010 (just as good, directed by John Woo) and mainland China 2018 (not as good, didn't involve Woo)
