Pad assist is off in this game so basically the analog sticks are like using a wheel hence the steering wheel in game is twitchy. It makes online fairer.

Steering wheel movement is hideous
There's no pad assist so it basically replicates it as if you were using a wheel. So online is fairer to both pad users and wheel users.
