The driver gets killed and Uber makes an announcement about Rider safety. Unbelievable! Until Uber makes background checks mandatory for passengers as well people should consider removing/using the app for their own safety. Unfortunately this is no longer a rare occurrence. Drivers are putting their lives on the line with little protection from the platform other than after the fact.
