      Having traveled a bit around the world I have to agree. And it's shocking to learn how civilized kids are in other countries. Mexico. China. South Africa. Singapore. Chile. Middle-classed kids are so respectful & well mannered outside of the US.

      Liptons ice tea has existed in the UK as long as I can remember, but it's just not popular here as it is elsewhere. In Europe it's very popular as well as US/Asia.
      I have boba regularly here though 😂

      I'm in Mississippi and I'm the only one in my family who cannot stand iced tea. Unless it's unsweetened. And I literally do not put any kind of sweetener in it. Crazy huh lol

      Iced tea doesn’t need that much sugar. It’s repulsive. Regular Iced tea, moderate sugar.

    In the early 1970’s, my family went to Scotland. We went to a fancy restaurant and ordered iced tea. We had to explain we wanted cold tea. The brought out a lovely silver teapot in a lovely silver champagne bucket on ice! One of my favorite travel memories of all time!

      Have biscuits and gravy, but over there, I believe that biscuits are called, "scones". A biscuit, I believe, is a cookie for them.

      There is a famous episode of kitchen nightmares of an American woman who opened up a southern soul food restaurant in England. After he helped her she made so much money she moved buildings to a 3 story restaurant. She went back to some of her old ways but Gordon got her back on track. Exactly like you thought though literally raked it in

      @M B born and raised in North Florida, essentially the deepest of the South you get. I grew up on local seafood, and southern culinary influences. From classic southern breakfast to smoked BBQ and fried fish. See to make it worth while I'd need a distributor to meet the exact ingredients. Otherwise it'd be hard to get the authentic flavor

      I would imagine ingredients being a problem. I think food taste have to with the regions where all the ingredients come from. Like good corn for cornbread might be harder to get in England than in America. Just a thought.

    So when I was studying in Arkansas I had a resident who never had milk tea. The guy was born and raised in Oklahoma. So as someone who grow up drinking hot tea. I made him a cup. He instantly became a fan.

      Always raised on southern sweet iced tea. And have always been curious was the Brits tea is like. Tried every variation I could think of, and didn't care much for it. So, just assumed I wasn't doing it right

      That’s so crazy cuz I grew up with it in the midatlantic but I don’t think it’s particularly common. Hot tea or coffee in the morning, iced tea during the day and hot tea at night. Maybe this explains my caffeine tolerance lol. We also had what was basically a British breakfast on the weekends. I’m wondering if my parents were secretly from the UK lol

    I do so like these young fellows, and their headmaster. I can see why they like and respect him: he says what he thinks but never in a way designed to offend or be unkind. And they are very much themselves, very genuine as well.

      I mean it's no brainer to have a iced tea in SEA region, it's hot as F in dry season even Japan that is far up north also had a variant of ice tea, I had a chance to taste their chilled Barley tea, its refreshing

      When I go on vacation to Turkey and the Middle East I look for bottled iced tea.
      I looked for it in many minimarkets and supermarkets coolers.
      I find nothing.
      I only found fruit-flavored teas and carbonated drink variations.
      But never found ice-tea-with sugar.
      I really hate it.
      You have a carbonated drink with a ton of sugar.
      But there isn't any ice tea with sugar.

    I never realized that something as simple as iced tea is actually something that some people never experienced. As someone who lives in tropical country, I drink that whether it's hot or rainy weather because how hot it is in here.

    I love these video because its so fun to not only see the difference in foods but how people view certain foods when they haven’t been conditioned to see them as normal and they just have to blindly taste them. And kids and teens are so honest when it comes to testing things. My long winded way of saying these are fun videos to watch.

    It's funny, when we went from the US to South Africa in the 80's, my dad couldn't get iced tea at restaurants, so he ordered some hot tea in a pitcher and a bowl of ice and made his own iced tea at the table! The server looked at him like he was crazy - lol. Needless to say, we love our iced tea! :-)

    Fun fact: if it’s written in its local name (es teh manis), it’ll cost around 20 cents. If it’s written in English, it might cost you more than 1 dollar

    I'm from Georgia and when I was a kid, I thought that when the tea was hot, it wasn't ready yet. I thought that it had to cool down enough to add ice to it. 😭 I thought the ONLY way to drink tea was cold and sweet up until I was about 9 or 10 😂😂

      I wonder (and this is just an assumption) if they have hot tea because it’s generally a little colder in the UK, because I live in Texas and it’s always hot so we always have iced tea . I could be wrong. All I know is when it gets up to 110 I want iced tea, not so much hot tea lol. But yes sweet ice tea is a must have

But in my defense, during the summer whenever I cut grass AKA with a push mower I like to have a cup of coffee, hot coffee creamer no sugar. This southern sun's frying my brain 😄

    Regular ice tea and sweet tea which it looks like thats what you’re actually drinking are two different things. If you ordered ice tea in America you would just get plane tea that is cold with little to no sugar or you add your own sugar. Sweet tea is iced tea filled with basically as much sugar as possible and still tasting good.

All I drink nowadays is water and coffee, and coffee and water. I quit drinking coke, which down here in Mississippi when you say you want a Coke then they ask what kind because it covers anything from Coke, Dr pepper, to barqs root beer lol

      In the South (at least the Carolinas, Georgia, and Alabama), if you ask for "tea" you're going to get sweet tea. You have to specify unsweet tea.
      Where my husband is from (northeast Ohio), if you ask for "tea" they'll bring you unsweet tea. When I visit, I normally ask for lemonade because sugar added to cold, unsweet tea is not my thing.

      Depends on where you are. Iced tea is sweet where I am. We have to ask for unsweet. If I go visit my cousins their iced tea only comes unsweet.
