Is double glazing expensive?
Are high-performing windows expensive?
Expensive is a state of mind. Ultimately we need to weigh up value for cost. Will I get enough value for the expense?
How do we measure value? How do we measure comfort, and noise reduction and energy-efficiency?
The easiest way is to look at the monetary value, and that's easy to compare with saving energy. But how do we monetise: comfort, safety, noise reduction, a good night's sleep?
All of these are intrinsic value, which is difficult to quantity, but ultimately change your experience.
So when asking if double glazing or high performance windows are expensive, consider what other value you might achieve over just the initial cost.
