Guests joining in on the intro and outro “the geek buddies” always makes me happy. Felt like this mcu phase was shaky but maybe it’s just because we got so many hours of content it was a little overwhelming. Great show!
The hate for Multiverse of Madness is insane to me. I loved we got to see Wanda, the villain. In one movie, I got to see what I wanted from Star Wars Vader all my life.
Judge a film by what's in it, not what happened off screen.
People didn't go "well id like to have seen the rebels set up the base on Hoth" in empire strikes back
While it certainly isn't my favorite MCU movie in Phase 4, or the franchise overall, I did still have a ton of fun with it, and loved the horror angle Raimi brought to it. I don't *love* it, but I did like it quite a bit.

And ai didn’t think Loki was very good besides Kang intro, and found the female character to be incredibly boring for being a Loki. But people love it. Funny how that works.

The family aspect is the best part of Bad Patch. It starts growing slowly in season 1 and at the end it's apparent to everyone.
Great show guys! It was awesome to have Mr. Harloff sit in for Shannon. Speaking of which get well soon! MCU Phase 4 was a mixed batch for me with some hits and misses but not bad overall. I am interested in how things pan out as both DC and the Mouse made some big moves recently.
I'm so behind on all the Disney tv shows, including SW, that I'm constantly dodging spoilers XD

We the audience so much needed a film like this. Avatar 2 is another giant in cinema, and after the phase 4 and numerous TV shows, most which failed to deliver the goods, and DC's lackluster Black Adam, old-school, un-woke Avatar 2 o poise to blow the box office apart.

I still have Avatar2 at 150M-175M I just think the marketing hasn’t been there and it doesn’t have that build up hype like MCU or Stranger Things do. It’s made for the legs it has Christmas break, New Years holidays, than a New Years break week in China couple weeks after that, plus I’m going on record right now it will be re-release at some point next year. It has to be good to the casual audiences enough to make them go back again and again. From what it sounds it’s only problem is the runtime do people really want to go watch a film for 3 hours again will they love it that much. That’s the thing about the original Avatar getting so many repeat viewings, people say it had shallow characters and yes I agree, that’s why it was good, it did just enough. It left no fat on it. Every second of that film you can’t miss. Avatar and Infinity War is the fastest 2 hour and a half movies I ever watched.

For the Indiana Jones franchise, Disney needs to get the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles on Disney+, and then do a movie set between Last Crusade and Crystal Skull starring Sean Patrick Flanery as Indy.

Here's my thing. All movies have character development that happen off screen that we don't see, you don't see every moment of every characters life.
You judge a film by what's in it, NOT by what happend or didn't happen off screen.
Olsen was incredible and Multiverse of Madness is a great film.
You looking at it wrong. The point is if the seeing the development would help the movie, then why not include it? It’s all about what would make the end experience better
But people really think it was a big leap what Wanda did, when she mind controlled a whole town for a week.
Olsen WAS incredible in the film. She owns the role no matter what. But the entire arc of WandaVision is that Wanda does a horrible thing to hundreds of people out of grief, is faced with that and chooses to let go of Vision and her children rather than be the villain. So then we get to Multiverse of Madness where… Wanda does horrible things to people out of grief is faced with that at the end and chooses to let her children go rather than be the villain? It’s literally the same arc.
Olsen was great, indeed. The movie, however, was faaar from great. Hence why most people have it ranked in the lower tier of MCU movies. It's a hot mess, dude.
Personal preference. I understand the criticism people have, but I also think people e pect perfection every time from Marvel and that's not always going to happen.. There was just more stuff in phase 4 than others so it stands out more.
Omg, I haven't watched Harloff in forever. I don't have the time to listen/watch everyone, so I chose Rocha and Geekbuddies over Harloff and SEN. But damn, after this episode I NEED to hear Harloff again. If there is ONE show I should watch on Harloff's channel, which should it be? Also, get well soon, Shannon!!!
If you like all the nerdy and comic book stuff watch Capes and Cowls with him, Winston, and Coy. If just in general stuff watch The Big Thing.

Honestly for The Rock to tweet that out seemed very desperate to me. Black Adam needed $400+ million to break even and it didn’t turn a profit. Can you imagine someone like Ryan Reynolds to tweet that one of his movies flopped but tries to convince the general public that it didn’t by claiming “he spoke to the financiers”. What a joke

One other point. Phase 4 has more projects in it than other phases so it seems like they're suddenly off. But they still have the same amount of good projects as the other phases. Phase 1 only has Iron Man and The avengers that id say are really really good. So that's 2 thirds that are weaker. People don't slate that.
But they do need to go back to less is more for sure.

My list is very similar to Kristian except his take on Shang-Chi. Respect everyone's opinion BUT, I can never understand anyone who likes Thor L&T, that was the only MCU movie I fuckin hate. Pleasantly surprised all of you rank Loki that high, since a lot of peeps dont like the series. Loki might be might fav series. Thats the fun of ranking MCU nowadays its so diverse and different from each other
Speaking of No Way Home, where is the digital and physical release of the More Fun Edition? I never got around to seeing the extended edition in theaters and would love to see it and own it. Get on that Sony!
Oh man I can’t stand the first avatar but now I’m feeling like I might have to watch the new one now! Not a theatre guy though and I bet it’s the same as the first in the fact that everyone raved about the experience but for me at home it was not good

It’s crazy how most people don’t read articles. Variety clearly stated black Adam will break even. There’s a different between a box office bomb and a flop. Something like Dolittle was a bomb. Black Adam was a disappointing flop, it won’t lose money.
The thing about Black Adam is every “success” it has comes with qualifiers. The Rocks biggest opening (As a leading man). The second biggest DC solo movie opening (not including the core four of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman). Black Adam will turn a profit! (When you count streaming and tv network deals). Also, the article mentions that WB is paying itself 86 million to put it on HBO Max and includes that number in the profit breakdown. By that metric, the movie is still losing money
I dig the Rock. Seen all his movies. But leaving the theater after watching Black Adam Adam, I only felt it was only a bit over average. Didn't leave me thrilled and excited to see it again. Except on HBOMAX.
Therein lies the problem. The Black Adam script was not stellar.
I thought the bottom guy was Dane Cook.

19. Eternals (Bland, boring, no chemistry, plot holes, convoluted plot, too many characters, and too philosophical w/o the follow through. Nice visuals tho)

Love and Thunder absolutely wasted the Gorr the God Butcher storyline, I liked what Bale did as Gorr but the story was weak as hell. Outside of that one, I'm in a similar place to Michael, everything else is just how much I liked it that determines its position.

I loved Ms Marvel but if people want to make such a big thing about if a project has a poor villains then they have to go down in ranking why is Ms Marvel so high when out of all the shows you could argue Ms Marvel handled the villains the worst. Not one of them even mentioned the villains who are very forgettable and the way it ended with them was confusing and underwhelming

Sorry but Black Adam failed box office wise. Making some of its money back is still not good; not successful. We are not counting rentals and digital sales 🙄. With a talent and charisma of The Rock, that movie should’ve grossed $600M+. He’s a good person so seeing his tweet and him trying to save face for months is painful. He should stay quiet and take the loss. The DCEU is dead and it’s time for everyone to realize it and move on.
