just picked one up, everything about this bike takes me back to the days of old, simple, not a bunch of crap on the frame just a motor seat and two wheels. keeping it simple, fast and fun, bugs in the face, wind in the hair thats right a motorcycle. Thanks BMW
Views from the Man Cave exactly, i dont care seeing them on custom sports bikes and even winning racing events. When they land as standard on production bikes thats when i see true success :)
Nice looking bike, but I think I prefer the roadster. In fact, having just seen some of the coverage from Intermot I think the Racer might just go to the top of the list!
Tough choice as I didn’t ride the bmw for long, but it would have the be the Street Scrambler for me. Lighter, more nimble, more manageable on the dirt, better looking and cheaper.....
I thought about the Street Scrambler myself, but it has has half the power and the same weight, perhaps even more weight. Looks good but the stats are horrible.
I know they are not like for like bikes but how do you compare it as a ride with your Street Twin? Surprised at BMW not including a fuel gauge. I can't imagine not having one. Also the digital display looked a bit dark? Nice looking bike though.
Christopher Hi Christopher, yes different bikes. The Beemer is more powerful and quicker, but the Street Twin is smoother and just as nimble. Yes the digital display isn't very easy to read
Cazzy R It was great, once you get used to the slighty squirmy Karoo 3 tyres. But it's a ideal bike for that mix rough tarmac, potholes, gravel patches etc.
1990 Yes you are correct, I discovered after the ride they had switched to a steel tank. It feels like it carries the weight high because they have made it taller than the roadster, with more ground clearance, and it's noticeable.
@@mancavemoto Agreed Tony , there are some nice second hand examples but I need to sell my perfect example of a Street Cup, which I’m doing privately on Autotrader, location Buckhurst Hill 😉) before I can go again.

Enjoy Larry!
Hi Larry, Just got mine a few weeks ago(Hertford) and love it. Are there any BMW ride outs that you know of?
Such a beautiful bike.
Great video - For a quick review that was very in-depth - such a great sound on startup
ivanandhismightysteed thanks Ivan, hope I don't make it into one of your rants ;)
haha not at all
I must say I did agree with you
I've owned one for two years. Love it, and take it off road quite a bit. Wish it had panniers, but it's too pretty to add them.
I definitely neede to spend more time on the bike. But it is a lovely machine for sure
That exhaust sounds great!
As a Slovene im proud to see Akrapovic exhaust on there :)
It does sound good for a factory fit pipe....

Which one you prefer, the triumph street scrambler or the bmw. I'm dreaming with the street scrambler. 😏

Stats and real world are often two different things.... but I’d stick an rninet roadster in my garage any day
HAVE YOU BACKED TO BACK THIS WITH URBAN GS?
Sadly not Owen, although there is still time

Nice review. You commented on the suspension for off-road use. How does it perform on the Essex back lane tarmac?
Cazzy R It was great, once you get used to the slighty squirmy Karoo 3 tyres. But it's a ideal bike for that mix rough tarmac, potholes, gravel patches etc.
Thanks VMC. Seriously considering one of these.
It's a steel tank, isn't it? It carries the weight 'relatively high'? Surely it has a low centre of gravity. It's a flat twin.
Good review.

The specific tank in this video is the available upgraded Aluminum tank from the other models. The steel tank comes in a darker matte grey.
Yes you're right just purchase an Rnine T Roadster and make it into a Scrambler. No fuel gauge is a joke to far, what were they thinking?
Old school, you reset the odometer when you fuel. Life can be so hard! Lol
I want one quite badly 👌
I’ve noticed there are quite a few coming through at decent prices on the used market

I prefer the RnineT Urban G/S.
I like this motorbike but not the akra exhaust the sound is bad
