She did the right thing thing, gone are those day that woman was to stay home, make babies and cater to men. I left my Jamaican husband for the same thing. He did not bring me from anywhere, I meet and married him right here in America.My did not want me to go back to school and educate myself. I left his ass, took care of myself and son. I retired as a nurse and our son is a cardiologist that I raised and educated by myself.Now after 40 years he got the nerves to call me and asked my forgiveness and telling me he is so proud of me for the way I raised our son.

Nothing beats a woman having her own money. Most times, whenever a man wants to support a woman fully financially and does not want you to work, it's because he's controlling and just wants someone who will be at his beck and call who just stays in one place and does only what he says. I could never deal with that, I love my independence and having my own so I completely understand where the lady is coming from. Congratulations to her for leaving him and for trying to further herself. Being a single woman who earns your own money, have your house where you live alone with no one to make a mess, no one to cook for, being free to do anything you want, especially in a country like US where there are so many things to enjoy is so precious it's like gold.

Jay she did the right thing. America is not a place to come sit down when there is so much opportunities available to you. I was in her shoe in Jamaica and promised myself when I left Jamaica I was done with the relationship. I had a 3 year old child and working until 6pm in Kingston. My son’s father had a car and wouldn’t even come to pick us up knowing I’m struggling with the child on the bus from way up Constant Spring to CampView. When me reach home not even the kettle the man put on and sit down waiting for me to come make him tea. I left Jamaica and I was going to help him but him start show him true colors with women so I left him took my son and never looked back.

CNA Certified Nursing Assistant. Jayy now a days they want certification for everything. Years ago teachers did not need that but I guess the last 20 years, teachers do a state exam,, you pass and you are license by the state. YOu are now a certified teacher. Taking care of old people, you now have to do an exam. So yes, CNA.
