Her vocal coach said it best. Victoria sometimes struggled to find “her voice”, but when she did, she was awesome and had a very sultry sound. Shes always been my favorite because her vocals were so different.
I think it's because she was originally trained as a theatrical singer? So she has that deep and sultry tone.. But she definitely kiilled all harmonies, fit perfectly! Listen to Viva Forever stems, her part in the chorus is amazing...
She is quite good. I didn’t realize some part in some of those songs were her. I also like how she often provides the lower base tones to Emma’s higher notes. Always thought it was scary. We were robbed from hearing more of her with solos in more songs. Thank you for sharing this.
Her voice is OK, certainly not terrible, but not particularly strong either. It is being fortified and augmented by a lot of audio engineering tricks (yes, it’s possible to do that live - I’m a vocalist). But then again, that’s true for all of them. None of them are *great* singers, but they’re serviceable for this type of bubblegum pop, especially with the support of audio technology. A better “test” would be hearing her sing a cappella, without any backing at all - and with no effects on her voice. Nothing to hide behind.
She did a lot of the lower harmony. In fact, she has the most vocals on a lot of the songs, especially Spice Up Your Life. She sings every part, even lower melody with Sporty (if your having a good time-if you know that you feel fine).

I think she got so overlooked bc she was pegged as the “hot” one. Being in higher stilettos, “looking sexy” instead of wild, etc made her a little boring to the camera. Was not a matter of being borring. She just had the other face of the beauty privilege, that is to say "she is pretty = she must be here for her look". However, yes, her vocals were essentials to the band, not because it carried songs but because it added another layer and make them richer.

Let's be honest- they were crap. BUT, they were fun and a very good marketing ploy for mainstream pop at the time. They each made millions out of it, so very well done to them. I was a 19 yr old girl at the time when they bounced on the scene. I was working at Butlin's in Bognor Regis at the time. Every time a Redcoat took a kid on stage and asked them who their favourite music was, they said 'Spice Girls'. I'd never heard of them at the time. I soon did.

Esa canta?!?!?😮😮😮😮
I think she got so overlooked bc she was pegged as the “hot” one. Being in higher stilettos, “looking sexy” instead of wild, etc made her a little boring to the camera. She got less attention than the Mels, Geri, and even Emma, bc she literally wasn’t kicking, flipping, and dipping all over the stage. She wasn’t dressed for it! 😂🤣 All the girls were equally talented in different ways, but she often carried them vocally!!
LOL. Vicky didn't carry them vocally.
Uh… no. Victoria ain’t gonna be carrying anyone vocally anytime soon. Her voice is not that strong live.
Her voice is OK, certainly not terrible, but not particularly strong. She’s being boosted by a lot of audio engineering tricks (yes, it’s possible to do that live - I’m a vocalist). But then again, that’s true for all of them. None of them are *great* singers, but they’re serviceable for this type of bubblegum pop, especially with the support of audio technology. A better “test” would be hearing her sing a cappella, without any backing at all - and with no effects on her voice. Nothing to hide behind.
Was not a matter of being borring. She just had the other face of the beauty privilege, that is to say "she is pretty = she must be here for her look". However, yes, her vocals were essentials to the band, not because it carried songs but because it added another layer and make them richer.
She didn't really sing much.

Joseph and today 😀 TV
I’ve heard worse and they are pop singers not serious vocalists. They all brought their personality I loved em. And atkeast it’s her singing rather than using another voice

I love her ❤
Bland at best
But her voice is not very perfect,
Let's be honest- they were crap.
I soon did.
No you re wrong!
They wrote their own catchy songs, danced their asses off on stage, and could sing. They were great.
30000000000€ for those short repeated parts xD 🤣
SIEMPRE ME HE PREGUNTADO PORQUE VICTORIA CASI SOLO DE NEGRO SE VISTE?
Porque é a cor favorita dela
Нет у неё голоса и точка, а всем кто здесь хвалит её голос медведь на ухо наступил 😅😅😅
