- In this video I take a look at the OUPES Mega 2 power station and test it with some practical applications. I'm convinced it's the best power station available in terms of features, function, and price!

Hi Dick, great info. Very handy to have. We are all pretty invested in cordless tools but sometimes you just have to plug in.
Hello Dick, we have been using a Allsure 2400 while traveling to Florida, fantastic unit and handling our Comfort Glow 1500 watt electric heater🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
The technology is amazing Larry. I tried it with a space heater also and it worked great.
Love our power stations! The Mega 2 is a great unit.
They really do come in handy Heath. I can use my small one for my CPAP, and this larger one will power about anything I need it to in a short power outage. It's a lot easier than dragging the gas generator out.
@@oldguyfirewood for sure! Exactly what we do!
Thanks for sharing Dick, that Oupes power station looks pretty impressive!
It’s pretty nice Obie and they’re running a great Christmas sale right now too.
Good to see you movin and groovin Dick!!! These solar packs will supplement the combustion engines lifespan immensely.... Don't think they'll ever completely replace them but sure will elongate their lifespan and in the end run save you money...
Hey Greg. I never thought they would become as advance as they have. I think in 20 years you won't see many small combustion engines around.
That’s a real nice unit it will be super handy with any project stay safe my friend
It seems to be great John. I think I will use it a lot.
Pretty sweet unit! Thanks for sharing Dick👍👍
Thanks Jeremiah. I'm impressed so far!
Hello OGF, I went to the site you provided, they are very informative about the product, and the prices are very competitive with other manufacturer's, I am going to give this some sincere thought, I like the set up.
I was very impressed with the price Ben. They have a Christmas sale going on now and my discount code takes another 5% off.
Sounds like a great power source!
It’s working very we !
WOW IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT YOU KNOW WHAT I DO EVERYDAY THAT IS QUITE THE TOOL I HATE TO HAVE TO DRAG A GENERATOR TO THE JOB LOOKS LIKE IT IS PRETTY COMPACT AND EASY TO PUT IN A VAN OR PICKUP
The battery technology has really come a long ways Turtle.
Great review!👍🏻
Thanks James!
Hey Dick. That is a great power pack by the look of things. I'm not sure if you mentioned the weight, I may have missed that part, probably not too bad to lug around. Good stuff, thanks.
Kenny
Hey Kenny. It weighs 53 pounds. easy enough to carry.
I have a lot of DeWalt 60v and 20v cordless tools, and they are great! March 2012 I started buy hammer drills and impact drivers and reciprocating saws etc to drill out and rough in residential homes wiring them etc. I have a lot of the DeWalt cordless tools I’ve gathered over 11 years or so. The Milwaukee fuel impact driver with the 8amp hour battery is great! Way better than the DeWalt drivers! Their batteries charge faster than the DeWalt also by far! Milwaukee has a way better battery system
I have several Dewalt battery tools. I’d like to have the Milwaukee, but I can’t justify the switch when I have so much invested in Dewalt.
@@oldguyfirewood I felt the same with mine, but I know by experience that the Milwaukee cordless tools and batteries will outlast DeWalt!
Speaking of using it for camping, can you hook up solar panels to charge it like the Jackery power banks? The Oupes sounds like it handles the compressor and everything well! I didn’t hear any lagging on the motors at all!
Yes, OUPES offers solar panels which can be used to charge the unit. Visit their website for full details (link provided in video description).
Thanks for the informative video Dick
Thanks for watching!
Did you say you can hook up more than one of these power banks in series with each other to make the power bank larger?
OUPES offers additional batteries that can expand this unit to 10,400 watts.
@@oldguyfirewood that’s pretty impressive, you could use that on your home if had a power outage! As long as you weren’t running multiple big appliances at once, it would definitely handle a 40 amp range and a dryer. If your heater is gas, it would handle it but probably not an electric one. Definitely great for emergencies!
Haven’t heard of Oupes before.Reliable?
What’s their warranty like?
Hey Johnny. I'm impressed with its performance and the videos I have seen are all positive. It has a 3 year warranty for the original purchaser.
👍👍
Thanks !
Getcha little nozzle spray gun attachment on your air compressor and you can blow off tge dirt, dust and debris out in the woodyard on al your equipment... might need a little bigger compressor tho.
I pretty much rely on my gas blowers for that Greg. I think the small compressor is about all it can handle.
@@oldguyfirewood same here, but I do use my air compressor to blow out the vacum sweepers from the house and dash dust outa pickup...
Now you can work all night until the sun comes up 😅 he he
and he will KEEP MOVING!!
HaHa!... maybe 20 years ago lol.
Hey Dick, hope all is well . I haven’t tried one of the power station. Do you know how long it takes to charge the unit from solar. That unit looks awesome. Great job putting all your equipment in your Kubota to do the demo. My wife Chris and I met you at P B. We just started our channel in September. Check us out. I bet you feel like a kid in a candy store with your 12-28. I want to see if I can find your email address to send you a sticker. I’m really happy for your Eastonmade purchase. I’m 68 and I believe you are 74. We both fit in the same class. As we age we get more aches and pains. I refuse to stop producing firewood because I love it . I love the wood hound community. Thanks Dick Great job on the video. Take care.
Hey Allen. I remember meeting you at Bunyan. I still have your sticker and need to do an update to the "Wall of Flame" in the near future. Welcome to the TH-cam community. It's a great group of folks. I'll be sure to check out your channel! You can email me at oldguyfirewood@gmail.com
