To be fair Hige in Japanese and mustache are categorized as the same however mustache and beards individually in Japanese have their own vocabulary. When Hige got translated it becomes either beard or mustache so for some reason whitebeard is still called whitebeard despite being localized.
Plus it would be counter productive to use that weapon as a spear since the blade is curved, unlike spears being straight for more poking damage than slashing

See now this just makes me want to have Roger as a DLC. They have Shanks despite never seeing him fight for real, and even Kiku hasn't really fought yet in the anime even currently. Roger would be too popular to play as is my theory lol. I honestly love plaing the underdog's in this game like Smoker, Tashigi, Hawkins, Judge, and Killer. Smoothie is easily the most broken character in the game for me.

前の声優さんは優しい親父って感じで好き。「馬鹿な息子をそれでも愛そう...」（セリフ間違ってるかも）がよかったなぁ。新しい声優さんは力強い親父って感じで好き。特に2:15「クソ生意気な」のセリフが個人的に一番。ようは、どっちも好きってこと。「この声優のここが気に入らん」と批判せずに、「前の声やったら、このセリフ好き。」とか思い出の共有とかしよーや。みんな白ひげ好きやろ？長々とごめんね🙏
