Yes, You have correctly observed that, the staff audience are absolutely look disinterested in the conversation going on as the interviewee is not trying to seek their attention, not involving/addressing them in conversation and mostly ignorant of their presence. It's just looks like a self appraising talk.
I really liked Upsana's question and I think it is easy for Swaroop Rawal to say that "sorry, life is not easy, you are getting paid well so fulfill your duties or if you are with an NGO, it's your choice". As she herself mentioned that it's all thanks to her husband that she could actually work without getting paid Also, to mention, without any "office KPIs" to fulfill. I can completely see how comparatively easy it can be for her in terms of pursuing what she likes. I do admire what she's doing as she is doing a great job integrating art with learning but again without any pressure of managing her finances, what her boss would say, make a balance between passion & responsibility each day. She can cut through the chaos and just focus on her passion/ambition because she can. I think the approach should be to make teachers lives easy and bring the most value for students. The scope/goal for teachers on a quarterly/yearly basis should be revisited as well. Only if the master has clarity, the students will succeed.
i disagree with you buddy . one can only do such work in a regulated orginations like govt. organisations baki rahi private institutions aur NGO's ki toh waha govt decide nai krti pay scale . toh one can not do anything about it..jitna unka man krega denge aur kaam bhi krwayenge.
Actually Swaroop is not wrong . She teaches the teachers for free because she has the means. The teachers teaches the students for salary and every job has its perks and problems. People just want teaching to be an easy profession, ratta maro, raub jamao, pass karo and enjoy the vacations.

Below mentioned are my objections 1) Teachers are well paid, i come from a teacher family, only govt teachers are decently paid, is mehengai me "well" is a luxury. 2) Election duties ko privilege banana, i have strict objection to this, Teachers should be strictly focusing on Teaching, over positivity ki wajah se less realistic hote ja rahe he. 3) Problem with Saurabh, he being such a honest & intelligent journalist, why didnt he opposed to Teachers are well paid comment, why do u guys forget plight of contractual teachers, every state has this problem.

Hii Great interview. Few things wanted to bring her notice 1. Private school teachers are not paid well few schools they pay but not all. Doctors ka payment lakh mei hai teachers ko per annum max to max 3 lakh PA milta hai in general. 2. Your concept art integrated is very good but in regular class time teachers hardly get 30.minutes and they have compulsion of completing syllabus, so for each chapter if a teacher tk 15 minutes for art integration she will not be able to complete her portion bcos not only she has to teach, but she has to give notes , discuss , preparing and giving them work sheets, etc so CBSE syllabus is very vast, so where teachers get time? 3. Schools will not provide any extra teacher for that madam, so ground level reality is different.

This period is not included in service. After Passing mandatory degrees B.Ed ctet mahatet TAIT, and ShikshanSewak. there service remains less than 25 years. Do something for it Ma'am.

One more thing I would like to add here is that, being a resource person , he/she had only one work to train the teacher but teacher has so many work along with the teaching. You know nowadays teachers have become clerks more than the teachers. Swaroopji if you have any power to change this system, please take care of it. Teachers are not able to complete their school work in the school and compromise their own family and the children. I have worked with a private school for about 8 years and with KV for 10 years. There is a drastic change in work pattern. Teachers are under pressure. The role of a teacher and the role of a resource person is entirely different.

One more thing I would like to add here is that, being a resource person , he/she had only one work to train the teacher but teacher has so many work along with the teaching. You know nowadays teachers have become clerks more than the teachers. Swaroopji if you have any power to change this system, please take care of it. Teachers are not able to complete their school work in the school and compromise their own family and the children. I have worked with a private school for about 8 years and with KV for 10 years. There is a drastic change in work pattern. Teachers are under pressure. The role of a teacher and the role of a resource person is entirely different.
