@5:07 You're at the Philippine High School for the Arts. It is where very talented young Filipinos study the arts like music and everything that pertain to arts.
Im from Calamba also my wife is from Bay Laguna, a small beautiful town neighborhood of Los Banos town, I'm glad u are able to feature our place, we are both here abroad, miss my hometown
Love Laguna! Glad you all had buko pie. Never tried durian, but I heard the best ones are found in the south like Davao. Hope you can visit the south someday. It’s good that you found a natural hot spring in the area. Looks really nice. Thank you for taking us along. Take care and God bless. 🥰
We live in calamba, laguna for 10 years and in 2018 we sold almost everything and moved here in camsur for good but im originally from siquijor and i still have my family there....
Kamias, sour friut that can also be used to cook sinigang with. my mom used to make, believe it or not, candied Kamias (yes, it actually was sweet!) she squeezed out all of the sour juice and carmeliized it with sugar, it was a great desert. did you see a Kamias tree there, they are small trees,)? the Kamias fruit look like very small papayas hanging on the middle trunk of the tree. the hot springs look very beautiful! thanks for another great vlog! ❤
We saw the tree as Jonathan's uncle had one in the garden! I would really love to try candied kamias it actually sounds delicious 😍 In Hungary we eat sour fruits with sugar so I think I'd love that combo
@@SusieinthePhilippines I've been trying to post a reply but it's not allowing me...maybe because I am including a link to a candied Kamias recipe that I found (it's the same recipe that my mom used). let's try this.... pinoy-entrepreneur (add a dot then the "com", and this right after it "/2010/02/19/how-to-make-kamias-candy/") LOL! I don't know if that will work at all! but you can try. since I don't know if any store still sell the candied kamias since it is not popular there but it is good. my mom would serve it (after making the kamias preserve) with carmelized sugar (drizzled on top) but even without the carmelized sugar it's already sweet since it's alread a preserved fruit (like a fruit jam). there are many candied kamias recipe but this one is what my mom used. it is a lot harder to make.but worth it.
We grew up with that home-made delicacy, sweetened kamias. Yes, it's a must-try (but has been) very rare to come by, if at all. The secret to making it is actually squeezing it of its (sour) juice with lye which also helps its preservation, and muscuvado (raw brown sugar). The longer in storage, the not the better, but the best! ü
Did Fanni got slimmer? She looked slim in this vlog. Hehe. Is she not stressed? Is she eating well? I hope you guys are enjoying always. Stay safe. God bless. 🙏🙏🎊🎉💞💞
We've played in that basketball court when we went there about 15 years ago, there's a resort near that structure where we stayed,it also serves as an event venue.
Hi Susie, Jonathan and Fanni =) Luguna is a historic province for sure. The first "plant" Fanni was taking a photo of is actually a coconut branch :) Hey, I thought your route up the mountain looked very familiar: You went up to the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) "campus" (yes, it's kind of an "open" campus, all 13 ha. of it on Mt. Makiling. The contemporary crucifix you stopped at is one of its landmarks and created by a National Artist, the architect Leandro Locsin who also designed the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP along Roxas Blvd.), and the site and structure where you had the lake view, the Tanghalang Maria (aka formally the NAC or National Arts Center) open Theatre, hence the benches ü PHSA is a state-run special high school with its own entrance exams because its students coming from all over the country are state scholars: for dance, theater/performing arts, visual arts, music, etc. The great concert pianist Cecile Licad is an aluma of PHSA. Makiling just always read about it in our primary books before thank u for taking us with u guys on ur trip happy to see u guys having a good time and beautiful experience. My wife is from Pagsanjan, Laguna. Maybe you should try the Falls. The sour fruit you are eating is Tulingan sinigang. Tulingan is a fish like a Mackarel
no substitute to the Original Buko Pie, its simply the best.. I first tried durian when a friend invited me to their farm in Davao. His uncle said "It Smell Like Hell, but Taste like Heaven & I should eat durian bcoz its a tradition there that first time visitor should eat the Durian fruit then the candy & lastly the ice cream😊
It was really far up in the mountains maybe that's why? There were many resorts with easier access we just accidentally choose the most hidden one haha
Im living near laguna lake in Bay, i know that place Art Center of the Philippines build by former and Late President Ferdinand E.Marcos father of President BongBong Marcos Jr.
In Mount Makiling
Great hot spring. Natural with the rain.

Careful with all the durian, though =D You'll find yourselves burping its disctinct "durian-ness" aroma ü
@@rv_PH yep ur correct so be aware 😂😂😂 and keep ur mouth shot once u eat this fruits.
Im from quezon province and its too close to Laguna but ive never been to mt makiling..anyway welcome to Calabarzon!!
Can you visited the Tawi-Tawi to the world you welcome here...
Maybe Fanni needs to try a hybrid durian to enjoy its sweeter taste

My Hometown😊 Although I’m here now in the US. ALWAYS missing HOME
The cutest tour guide #pixel 😂❤
She's so good at it haha
Susie next stop Mindanao..
Kamias has the same texture, juicy as a star fruit (balimbing) but the latter is sweet.
I live near this place amazing :)
Can you introduce me to your sister ? I am a Fil-Am living here in the USA.
Your sister is beautiful
How long is your bestie sister planning to stay in Philippines? Love your videos🎉🎉

Hmm, I would have thought Laguna's barangays can fix their roads esp going to resorts
It was really far up in the mountains maybe that's why? There were many resorts with easier access we just accidentally choose the most hidden one haha
That fish dish I think is pinaksiw.
The very best buko pie is in tagaytay...
It was like 3 buko pies on top of each other, so full!! Can't even imagine an even better one haha
