apk in order to break the bond you first need to separate the molecule from other molecules. That is what gaseous state is, isn’t it? As in liquid and solid states molecules touch each other.
Mean bond enthalpy , as I understood , is the average of the different bond enthalpies as in the case of methane . Why are you then referring to it as ' mean bond enthalpies' Kindly elaborate.
Pradipta Bagchi the mean bond enthalpy depends on the whole molecule. In CH4 all bonds were C-H bonds but in CH3Cl there are 3 CH bonds and one C-Cl bond. So average bond enthalpies of CH bond in both these molecules will be different.
Mam I question.....r u still teaching in US colleges or school???? If yes .....those students are very lucky....if not....then u must persue Ur teaching in us
This is so good! I have never seen a better chemistry teacher than you, ma'am.
Such a clear explanation mam...understood clearly😇😇
You will become new Star of TH-cam of class 11 teacher
Too good mam.... thanks
Happy to see u back madam
Your explanation for me was amazing to understand. I really got something new from your lecture.
Ma'am is soo oommmm
Thanks nice explanation
mam in 8:24 the bond enthalpy of oxygen is 428KJ/mol
I found what I was here to comment
😐
great!!!!
Could you please explain why the value of the bond enthalpy of oxygen and the enthalpy of atomization of oxygen is different... ?
Excellent
Hii anshika I m ur old friend

Can I ur friend
Hlo Anshika ur very cute
13:10 This hydrogen alone has more bond disociation energy because of half filled config of carbon
Superb mam u r a good teacher
Mam 1q how get transfer from Delhi to US
Mam is ncert sufficient for 12 board chemistry??
More than sufficient
Bond enthalpy is only for gaseous substances. Does this imply that bonds are formed only in the gaseous state?

@@SeemaDhawanArora Thank you ma'am!
Mam is it right to say bond dissociation enthalpy is the energy required to break a bond in a particular step?
Yes

Ashish Jangra no I have stopped teaching in a school now.
Where you from mam?
Originally from Delhi. Now in the US
