I've been using one to travel around in Europe and couldn't be happier. I recommend it since it's much more affordable over here ! I personally love it, specially when you compare it to trendy overpriced modern backpacks like Sandqvist etc It's a WIP product, stylish but it still retains some of the original Carhartt quality.

Thanks for the great video, there are some details i didnt even notice on the site where i got the backpack. Carhartt should definitely modify this bag with some better padding in the back and all that, would be a perfect. P.S. i was looking for a very simple design and and a backpack that doesnt look like a military item with 60 compartments and zippers and all. Its a simple city bag ;)

Had this bag for a year wanted to know some of the functions, very helpful! Honestly it’s a great backpack for city life and travelling. The roll top means it can get nice and small but also expands to a huge size. I use mine for food shopping aswell as it keeps nice and tight to my centre of gravity.
I didn’t even know Carhartt even made backpacks until I just watched your review of this pack. Looks like a great rucksack styled pack for an edc dump, etc.
Very extensive and complete review thank you very much for pointing out every good and bad aspect of it I'm happy I didn't have to go through sending it back for being dissapointed ^^ the cheap back with no padding and the side zip which is a pickpocket's best friend was what did it for me, thanks again !
Carhartt usually have their ish together making innovative and carefully thought out products for the hardworking person. A buck thirty-eight is in the realm of a Duluth Pack Rolltop Scout pack. Thanks for sharing. One.
So true...no real backpanel..and the zipper on the left side allows people to easily grab into your backpack (so easy for thieves to grab in as well...)
Its a very good bag. Fits many items, and the slot for laptop is super snug and Fits mine well. Even more so with a sleeve for the laptop. A good buy, and I really like mine.
I tend to lean away from bags without much organization. One big compartment just isn’t good enough for me. I like all the little pockets and pen organizers or phone sleeves or whatever. Otherwise all your stuff is just floating around. I suppose you could always buy a separate organizer like a pencil bag or something like that but that seems superfluous. Good review man!

Absolut Great Video ! But I have to defend Carhartt a bit. This Bag is a Model of there W.I.P lineup, therefore this bag is actually made for the „urban“ type. It‘s hard to compare a good old Carhartt Jacket with there WIP stuff I subscribe to your channel

Looks more or less like a dump pouch/bag. You just dump your stuff in it and go. You don't want fragile things in there with other things, but the organization is that you can open the top and completely see in the bag. Great for shopping and when you always only have the same things. Not so great if you have many small and/or fragile items. Sounds like a decent pack overall. I'm gonna stick with my $30 SOG Ninja for now though.

I just bought the Kifaru Antero which is probably my most expensive bag I have used for EDC other than a Tumi Alpha Bravo Knox Backpack. Review coming soon. On the top end of bags I would look at all leather packs. Frye makes a great one.
