- The new Rolls-Royce Dawn is exceptionally crafted, beautiful to drive and stunning to look at. The engine is a gem and it’s even quite practical - with room for four adults. The fact remains that very few people will ever be in a position to justify a £265,000 drop-top Rolls-Royce, but for those who can, the Dawn is quite simply in a class of its own.

+boy638 Because it's the same engine that's in the Ghost. When the Wraith came it was meant to be ever so slightly performance oriented, so it got a bit more power. The Dawn isn't supposed to be performance oriented. The extra power doesn't fit the car. That's why.

Rolls have two drop tops you have the phantom and now this the Dawn .Therefore the man was wrong to say that the Dawn is the only drop rolls have. I expect better from auto express.

A car like this make no sense IMO. I am surprised people still wanna buy it. I mean an S-class coupé is equally good for half the price. You pay extra for the brand and the exclusivity.
Equally good? Sure .. Ask people who own both, e.g. Salomondrin. It's in another league of comfort, prestige, design.
The car had over a thousand orders before production had even begun. Trust me when I say if you see it in the flesh you will be totally won over. Any concerns over whether it's worth the extra money over say the S class totally dissappear. Truly it is a stunning car. It's presence in real life is unmatched :)
+Mo B When you get to this price tag, "sense" is not something that matters. A Rolls-Royce is just like a Rolex, nobody actually needs one, but some people want them just to feel different and exclusive
I would get the new C-class convertible if given the choice (nearly the same like the S-class convertible, just a tad smaller and sans the V12 option). Bentley and Rolls Royce are in their own league, and for the 1%.
+Mo B If you really need for total luxury, Rolls Royce is the absolute choice, Build quality material is very different, even though the most expensive class of Mercedes (Maybach).
Picture quality was excellent but the content of the video review was totally inadequate. Auto Express and Rolls Royce, I am available to shoot a much better, visual treat of this beautiful car - I'll even show the interior, headroom and generous legroom of the Rolls Royce Dawn. 40 years of TV experience.

+Sandouras It's a four hundred thousand dollar Rolls-Royce convertible being loosely compared to a Toyota (GT)86 through the metric of cabin noise. Coupes aren't generally known for quiet cabins, while Rolls Royces, whatever body style, of course are. A Rolls Royce Dawn's cabin noise should be compared to a Rolls Royce Wraith, Bentleys, and S-Classes.
Willy Lamb-Orgel This is the open version of a coupe and what he meant was, that it's almost as quiet if not quieter than cars with proper roofs. Dont get hang up on words.

The Ghost is LESS focussed, it has been designed as means to make a car for less money and for owner drivers - look at the definition of 'focussed'. The Phantom is more focussed, it is designed to be driven by an employed, professional driver.

Luxurious rolls for 330,000$ with plastic memory buttons, imitating aluminum, steering wheel suround cheap plastic from bmw 1, no touch screen, and this climatize buttons form BMW X1 all buttons in this car is a spray chrome looking! This is not a rolls this is a bmw 7 with RR logo!
