But the biggest fact is despite all that you said....our organisations that have to run independent of the central government (like the Supreme court and Election commision) were running independent of the government. The moment these bodies come under the goverment's control (like they are under bjp and Modi's control right now).....that's not democracy....it becomes dictatorship. No other Prime Minister before Modi was as power hungry as Modi....and that is a red flag that should send shivers down anyone's spine if they really love their freedom of being in a democracy. We all know that power hungry people end up being very bad dictators.....history is witness to that.
Since my second reply was deleted.....i'll reiterate it here.....local police compromised cannot be compared to the Supreme Clourt and Election Commision being compromised. Every government is after all corrupt in some shape or form. But the moment the Election Commision is in the government's pocket.....a country no longer counts as a democracy. So enjoy your rights, liberties and freedoms while they last because the moment a power hungry dictator is in power....the country is a mere puppet with strings for the dictator to play with.
