@@NeilEvans-xq8ik In regards to the article about Ben-Gvir at least it is under Extended confirmed protection. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Protection_policy#extended for details about this. Essentially, the community of editors can decide which articles to lock (called protection, at various levels), and there is a process to request protection for articles which any Wikipedia user can do. There are talk pages, so if you have objections or suggestions to changes to articles you can voice them. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to have looked up the etiquette/conventions. While bias may be present in some articles, locks are present usually as a result of repeated vandalism or edits lacking citations in line with Wikipedia policy, where strong unwarranted bias is present, etc. Wikipedia documentation goes over this as well. If biased content that is slandering Israel is clearly present, this needs to be fixed, and hopefully will be, if enough attention is brought to the topic. All my love to Israel and the Israeli people. The voices of truth will prevail 💙💙. I never saw anyone play victim or plan revenge growing up. My grandfather rebuilt his businesses from scratch in independent India. Every single one of the children including the women pursued higher education in STEM as their means of survival and today we are all largely successful and comfortable as a result. Pro-Palestinians can dupe the world with their lies but it's not so easy to dupe Indians because we share so much of the same history. From partition, to current day Islamic terrorism, to the Indo-Pak wars, to being gaslighted by left-wing media, it's easy for us to see right through the lies when it comes to the Israel-Palestine conflict as well. I noticed this a while ago. When Oct. 7th happening, I started researching a little and did check Wikipedia. When I went back to Wikipedia months later, I started reading the same things I had read and it wasn’t close to what I had remembered. I thought to myself, “geez, I must have a reading comprehension problem”. I didn’t really trust Wikipedia before because I knew that anyone can just go in and edit it, but I was just looking around for info. Now, I don’t even consider going to Wikipedia for information on things such as this. Unfortunately, there are those that are naive and read the things on Wikipedia and believe it and use it to back up their bias. That’s all just part of the prop o’ Ganda. And it’s working very well…sadly. ❤️🇮🇱💪

"Real" encyclopedias are only marginally better, same with the media in general. The anti-Israel bias is very strong, feels like 1930ies. Only way to live is to rely on your own brain.
Wikipedia isn't broken. As long as an article has proper citations for everything, then functions the same way as a "real" Encyclopedia. In fact it's better, as many more experts can review it and contribute to correcting for out of date information and errors.
@claesyoungberg1695 The issue is, that you can cite anyone who has gotten a degree and has written a book. What if their education was paid for by Irn, and they wrote a book about Gza and Isrl?
I am absolutely shocked by the agreement currently on the table! How can this be called a "peace" agreement? It's really just a "more of the same" agreement.
After seeing they write that "Arabic" is not only a language, but also came BEFORE Hebrew and all others it stole from, i know all i need to know about Wikipedia
I followed the talk page on the Zionism article for a month. A bunch of editors were contesting a clearly biased statement that “zionists wanted a state with as few Arabs as possible.” They presented reference after reference to prove their point, yet other “editors” simply started referencing procedural nonsense and spoke in word salads. And yet if you switch the language to French, the opening is totally different and a lot more neutral. Just goes to show that the inmates are running the mental institution.
One thing I have found is that whatever is being said about the terrible things she supposedly does, is exactly what “they” are doing against Israel. That’s how they can come up with such detail. It may have been an actual occurrence, but they just twist around and it sounds very plausible. They are masters of psychological manipulation.
Wow! Oren, you're amazing. BTW, there is a Wikipedia page call Judaea and Samaria Area...and it is full of lies. I saw it last week and was very upset.
So how can we help to revert these misrepresentations of history? Could some people organize an Editathlon with solid documentation?! Because this matters! Wikipedia is for most people their single source of truth. It's not an insult, it's just a fact the world has to consider - so it really matters to do something here!
Hello Oren, I read that these incorrect pages or locked and cannot be changed anymore. But you / Israeli agencies should be able to post pages in Wikipedia with the real story? Very good that you draw attention for this scandal!
It's been like this for many years now. Wiki will always show only the muslim/arab alternate version of reality. It's simple math: There are 1.7 billion muslims around, and only a few million Jews. Therefore, they determine what Wiki will show.
Although it's obviously a huge problem that the 18 million Jews in the world are so overwhelmingly outnumbered, it's not just that. It's also that leftists are pro-Palestine, and leftists are much more likely to engage in online activities such as editing Wikipedia or moderating forums. They have the numbers and they snuff out all opposition.
J TV also spotted this a month or so ago on one major info page. Pro Palestinian content and the page locked down , so zero edits could be made. There is an internet archive called the wayback machine / way back machine. You may be able to recover older pages to compare with current. That would be a good video! Hope you see this post! YT likes to delete many of my posts.
way back machine bent the knee to the government as well. entire blocks of data on their corruption is simply gone. (edit) there is an Australian version i forget the name of that still is somewhat reliable.
That is exactly what I was thinking about too…the way back machine. That’s what he should do is compare the pages back to the beginning of the war…that’s a great idea for a video!!
Oren, I have one more comment. I am of the opinion that it wasn't some pro-palestinian hackers that so horribly distorted the content of those pages. To me it is more likely that Wikipedia editors allow pro-palestinian distortion of these pages and prevent corrections that make Jews and Israel look good, even if those corrections are true. What you have pointed out looks to me to be a carefully crafted lie. Carefully crafted because everything you see on the pages is technically true, but the omissions are so horrible that the entire story of those pages is a horrible lie. But because the statements on those pages are technically true, the editors have plausible deniability, i.e. they can say "look, everything in these pages is true". Sorry to say, but I think Wikipedia people in San Francisco are among the anti semitic people. I would love it if I was wrong and Wikipedia editors in the coming days show their commitment to the truth and the stated mission of Wikipedia, but i do not expect anything from them.
lol you're like 8 years behind. Edit-wars between leftists and others have been going on at Wikipedia since at least Trump's first election victory in 2016. Leftists completely dominate the site. There won't be a statement from Wikipedia editors.
@@Malcolm-hv5pl On the top right of the article there is a link 'View History', here you can seeall the versions and revisions... Scroll down and click on 'oldest'. Scroll down again and click on the first entry, I believe it's from December 2001.
I don't know much about Israel-Palestine, but I can confirm a similar instance in another war. There was an instance during the Donbas-war between Ukraine and Russian funded seperatists where the seperatists shot down an airplane with a Russian weapon and the seperatists claimed that it was a military jet. Later video evidence came out that it was a Malasian civilian airplane, instead of a military jet and that all the almost 300 passengers were dead. Many Russians changed the Wikipedia article of the airplane, so that the Wikipedia stats don't match up with the video evidence and they could claim innocence. Thankfully people found out about it and the article was reverted. But imagine if their propagande efford had succeeded...
They’re very good at it, the “Arabs” I mean. They have a whole alternate history that they all learn from the time they are born. They truly believe that the actual history is a lie. That’s why they are so adamant about their version being true. They find things such as this on Wikipedia and it just supports their beliefs. Hey so I digged the history of the wikipedia article and it seems that the vast majority of propagandist claims comes from a single user named "IOHANNVSVERVS", he's the one that modified most of the first paragraphs and glued the term zionist everywhere. He's also the one who added the king hotel bombing and removed a lot of quotes that held Palestinians leaders accountable for their offensive. The rest of the users seemed pretty well unbiased/informed, or at least weren't blatant in their will of hiding the truth
One thing to always keep in mind on Wikipedia articles. The numbers in brackets are called "citations". They are references to verified academic works. If you don't see these numbers, don't take what is written for granted. Look at the first sentence of the first paragraph. It has 6 references, while the rest of the paragraph has none.
No they are ofen simply references to news articles about/from anyone which often can be biased and/or incorrect info, not verified academic works at all.
@OtagesBringthemhome_NOW Right, a "source" on wikipedia that says that ben gvir defended jewish terrorism who is also a violent racist is an article from the times of israel, a news article

Man, Wikipedia was never a good source of cited information, but now it's even worse.
To be fair, for mundane non-political stuff it is pretty reasonable.
That's what makes it so poisonous. It establishes credibility and proves competency in some areas, and then uses that credit to push ideologically inspired misinformation on other topics.
I was told at university to never cite wikipedia.
@@Baconstraps You can cite Wikipedia for basic definitions in computer science, maths, and other fields. They treat it much the same way as other encyclopedias, the use of all of which is generally discouraged. Ever perused older versions of the Encyclopedia Britannica? Way too many. 2025 and people still enjoy their "ignorance is bliss".
But it's a purposeful kind of dishonesty. They're not lying because they feel like it. They're lying because they believe that it will help their cause. Never mind that in over 100 years that hasn't worked, nor has terrorism or allying with brutal dictatorships. Liars don't learn, they just keep doubling down on the lies. They're also lying to themselves, because they need to believe these lies to avoid acknowledging the painful reality that they lost and that it's irreversible.\
It's not unlike how some US southerners still refuse to believe that the US Civil War was just, was primarily about slavery, and that their ancestors lost, and deserved to lose. They refuse to even call it by its proper name, instead calling it the War of Northern Aggression. Unreconstructed losers need to tell themselves lies to get through the day. Pathetic, but true.

@@NeilEvans-xq8ik In regards to the article about Ben-Gvir at least it is under Extended confirmed protection. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Protection_policy#extended for details about this. Unless one has been living under a rock, Wikipedia has been broken since it was started. A big difference between them and a real encyclopedia.
It's a great source of information, unless it is somehow connected to a topic that includes Mslms.

Thank you, Oren! Always, great work. Don't stop!
LOLOL. hey tell IL to pay you lot, maybe that would even the score. They can spend millions on AIPAC, but not Wikipedia? Tsk.
