The first one was his audition for the singer competition where Forestella came together. Kang was a 30 year old successful scientist with no formal musical training, unlike everyone else in the competition. Apparently he couldn't read music. He was certain he would be expelled, but he wowed everyone singing both Christine's and The Phantom's parts. His musical background was that he was the part time lead singer for a Rock group he had helped form during university. The second version is Kang again doing a longer performance with strong Rock elements. This is the most watched one. Both are well worth a watch.
Forestella are truly amazing. It really doesn’t matter what language they sing in - they have songs in Korean, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian & even Zulu. And they also cover a wide range of genres, all with their clever arrangement & beautiful harmonies to give their unique style. Some more stunning songs from them are Nella Fantasia, Inner Universe, Save Our Souls, Lazenca Save Us & Bad Romance.
