    what about we placed transmitter at NV2, so the pipe get lower first after tapping then get high again. whats the calculation?

    actual dp in this case ( dry leg) is not zero without opening the equalizer valve !!! sg1*h2 can't be equal to sg2*h3, isn't it? other thing i think that BV2 should be open too so that the LP measure cell will be communicating with the empty part of the tank that may be little bit pressurized above the atmosphiric pressure.

    Nice, but you dont have to open equalizer to make the water flow to the DPT, after the opening the block valve the water directly flows to DPT, the equalizer valve position om the middle of the passage through the block valve 1and 2, but not blocking the passage through the DPT diaphragm.

    and also if you are zeroing a DPT you have to eliminate every pressure to the DPT, or open the equalizer to balance the pressure exerted on the diaphragm.

      Good point out @james .. 1st part as well as the later zeroing part.. but in the later part he was adjusting the zero level (as per process c-c distance + tubings to the DPT) and not the transmitter zero. This i would tell you has to be followed even with your dry/ wet calculations of the lrv. Good video keep it up. and also a very constructive comment from james
