@@DeputyRyanSmithI tried that in my six speed and blew the trans lmao. It was also only rated for 300hp and I was pushing 450 which might have had something to do with it
Had a 93 dx (I say the dx part because that means I had the big block 1.8l instead of the 1.6l) But I was heat stroking one day and tried to shift into 6th gear on the freeway
Don't take the effect as the cause. Torque changes because of the conservation of angular momentum. The reason for the change in speed is the conservation of angular momentum.
Really good way to show how a basic gearbox works. But the speed difference wasnt obvious at first, you could use some slow mo if your camera supports higher fps
Thank you for showing us some basic gear to gear ratio. Sorry for the people who missed this basic physics lesson in school. I still don't understand what went so wrong that from people who visited the Moon some 60 years ago, now we are happy when we can built Lego transmission.
What? You dont got two guys decked out like henchmen from mad max squatting next to you in the car holding some kind of greasy axle to your open transmission? How do you ever plan on taking over the world guy?
I once saw a nice lego gearbox, almost same arrangement as yours but with a more smooth decrease in gear diameter, it looked like a cone And they did the exact same cone but in reverse arrangement for the imput axle, from there they put free rotating small gear between each « cone » monted on a diagonal axle (two pivot used) The perks immobile imput and output shaft , and only have to slide the small gear along its axle to change the speed of output shaft. Hope it help you or give you some idea at least

I've heard of human traction control before But human clutch is new to me. Don't blame you for grinding the gears tho you could just slow down the engine before swapping. Even without a clutch if you add a bit more weight to the fly wheel it'll keep the momentum even without adding extra torque and allow for a more enjoyable video in the high gears.
Usually each gear in a transmission sacrifices torque for speed, 1st gear has the slowest speed but most torque and last gear has the highest speed but least amount of torque
Grind ‘‘em till you find ‘em. Just make it attach and it’s good
😁
Ok
not funny
Has no synchronizers

false, syncros are what cause gear not to grind not a clutch. good try though :)

Very simply and easily you made us understand how gearbox works and impacts speed
Thanks a lot
Hoping more knowledgeable shorts like this
Hi am i wrong to assume you're Indian ?
Great idea, execution might need some more work 😂
Totally agree 👍🏻
My 2 week old daughter could do that better, without any bricks
I want gearbox as simple as this
Get a Dacia and there you go
You will have smooth discs instead of gears by the time you arrive

Nice video very easy to understand for beginners ❤
Great teaching tool. I started to understand gear ratios by looking at an 18 speed bicycle's gears.
Glad it was helpful!
Use a cone and your hand ❌️
Use simple and efectivo mechanisms ✅️

Manual transmission taken seriously
If that were a real transmission it would be very upset😂😂
Dacia engineers go "why would you be upset? this is fine!"
Got that GM transmission.
Got that kia transmission
you need a clutch. shifting without the clutch will damage the transmission and stall the engine.
Depends on the gearbox. You can absolutely clutchless shift with a dogbox

How well you defined the gearbox and changing the gear speed in the car
It seems you were coming out of gear, might want to check that transmission
Spin it to top speed in the last gear them go all the way to first
And thats why we have syncronication.

When you shift gears without using clutch
