I feel like Connolly was a little under appreciated by our fans. Had so much passion for the club, took over at a horrendous time and got us to our first final. People always talk about 2013 but our 2006 team had just as good a chance of winning it

Then, Sydney shouldn't be in the grand final in 2006. They already won the grand final 2005 but nobody talkin' about Adelaide should be in the grand final in 2006.

The man has so much passion. I'm so glad he was with us for a time. He took great pride in Freo and it's great to see.

Met Chris at the B & F at the casino. Genuine guy. He loved how we named our Maltese shitzu after Troy Cook. Thought that was pretty funny.

A genuine footy man...if I was an AFL player back in the era, I would have loved to be coached by him. He was the sole reason that closet Fremantle supporters like myself came back out and felt a sense of purpose again after the dark days of Damian Drum. The manner in which he dealt with the Sirengate saga in Launceston was just brilliant. Who can forget that he coached Fremantle to their first ever finals win. Despite the lack of ultimate success, he has his name well inscribed in the history of the club.

Chris was honestly as good of a coach to us in the 2000s as Justin is to us today

Great memory seeing Sean Wight in that film clip. I was his neighbour living in Armadale, Melbourne about 1991/2. I didn't really know who he was to begin with, but just a lovely lovely guy! Always remained a friend, It was shocking to hear of his death, although we knew he was ill.
Oh! And the bagpipes are Irish. A slightly different version to the Scottish. I don't know if he could play them? But he certainly could play guitar and piano, so it would seem natural that he at least had an idea. Very talented!

Though part of the Irish experiment, Sean Wight was actually Scottish so the bagpipes make perfect sense.
