Can you edit a clip (speed, trim, filter, etc) so that it can be used as is in multiple projects? Or do you have to re-edit each clip in each project? Thanks!

Having recently started I movie, I have just two movies in Projects. Hw do I get them into Library and Events ?
Somewhere I saw where you can do a keyboard shortcut to have the contents of the timeline fit exactly - How do you do that without having to adjust the imprecise timeline zoom slider? Forgive me if you actually mentioned this in this excellent video, but I just cannot find it. I thought it was Shift-Z but that does not work for me. Thank you again!

Everytime I make a movie of 40 minutes with imovie, and I want to put this movie on a usb stick, I only hear the sound on my television, nothing else. What could be the cause of this?

We are using Camtasia Studio, which is able to record the computer screen.
Nice tutorial video, thanks....Question: If I am working on a movie, but I want to start another new movie and I wish to work on both (in progress) to work today on one movie, tomorrow on the other. I DON"T know how to do this!!! Problem: when I try to create the SECOND one, it cancels the first one in progress. Also, how do I change the name "MY MOVIE 2", this name does not go away???? Thanks for the help.... I clicked a BIG LIKE !!!

Hii 😌 Question are you editing on a Mac?
Because I edit on my iPhone and I don’t have any problems editing on one video one day and editing another video on the next day. Also you should be able to change the title. If anything export what you already edited, delete the app, and reinstall it. Hope this helps 👍🏼

Thanks. I've been making movies on iMovies past few months but now when I made one, the pictures are either blank (if it is taken on a mobile) or even if they are visible and added in the timeline, they go green (with white noise) after saving it as a file. Though when I see the entire movie on iMovie there is no green noise on the same images. This doesn't seem to happen with videos-only pictures. On other you tube videos they mentioned having to resize the image on Preview which worked but is such a tedious thing to do. Would you know any other way of avoiding this error?
So my phone came with iMovie and I have used it for years but it un downloaded it from my phone and o don’t know why I though i did have enough room so i got rid of stuff but it wouldn’t download do you know if you have to download the update? I really need to edit stuff for class but I can’t use it now help please!

for some reason I can't download iMovie on my iPhone can you help me?
Ironically, my iMovie was updated yesterday and since then, all of .MOV / QuickPlayer files imported in iMovie for editing are automatically at least 10 to 12 seconds shorter than the original and hence playing fast. Any solutions?
On my iphone it doesn’t look like this. Is this for computer only?

The most efficient way to teach is not to describe functions and commands. You just imagine that a novice has in hand say 20 clips in an event. All suffers handshake. Some overexposure. Some needs trims in start and/or end. Some needs trim somewhere in middle. He wants dissolve transitions applied in 1 click without dragging 19 times down in between clips. He wants his clips saved in a single file, with a title at beginning, and ending texts. That is all for about 90% of users who will find it boring and puzzling in watching this and that functions, memorise them, and do the above by themselves. If in this world, there is a good educator in iMovie as such, millions of hour can be saved. The remaining 10%, or those of the 90% wants to learn more upon a solid framework, they can be served by specialised topics.

This is a great tutorial to get a feel for the entire app. Thank you! I have used Final Cut and Movavi so I am familiar with some of the features used to edit clips.
How was your time with Movavi?
@@bai I still use it. It is easy and quick to use. Probably because I have been using it a lot. My time is limited so the quicker I can make edits and publish a video faster works well for me.

Top tip for life: NEVER use iMovie for several reasons
Reasons:
-Takes forever to convert into a file
-Cannot save work, it only autosaves every 30 mins
-EXTREMELY bad audio quality
-Takes up WAY too much storage
- 3 minute video takes up about 14GB of storage
ok so I wasn't crazy, there is NO save button hidden somewhere!
Yep. I am AMAZED at how utterly counter-intuitive it is compared to all other Mac applications. The whole time just scratching my head in wonder - and the help support is useless. May as well be using some frikkin PC.
@@nicfarrow and yet. So far i find it easier than the edit software I've been using so far. Which should gives you an idea about how much the previous one is. At least I movie is free...

That narration is the most irritating ever. Try adding a human touch instead of the robotic automated narration, grrrrr. right onto finding a more humanistic video.
