I for one appreciate that it's not a full on purple-only palette , but instead added colours which compliment purple too. If it were all purple, you'd end up with the same monotone look. At least by having complimentary shades, you get more variety.
For a purple eyeshadow lover such as myself I don’t see this as a purple palette. Change the inside packaging and it would come across more like a cool toned pink palette with a few purples.
I was going to say the same thing. At least it is not like the Lila that had 2 maybe 3 purples. 😂 I think this is not that perfect purple. I love my ABH Norvina 5 with pretty much all purple palette. There are browns but they are more burgundy, plum shades. A shimmery and foil duo chromes. A great variety and maybe a couple orange shades. I love it.

Sry are you colorblind ??? There are OBVIOUSLY purple shades. Of course with some pink and rose as well as white sparkle shades. I'm happy that you're not natasha cause then you would throw there 20 shades of same boring purple shades in order to make it as purple as possible.. gosh! You really need to work on your taste btw this is an eyeshadow palette that goes on the eyes ofc there need to be some neutral shades that wouldn't make you a clown

I’m really happy that ND released this palette, not because I’d ever wanna buy it (I just don’t see myself having use for an entire midi purple-themed palette, I’m using mostly neutrals), but because I really enjoy watching tutorials with it. It looks beautiful and it encourages me to create purple looks with what I already have: Oden’s Eye Solmane II and their purple single shadows. There are nice Lila shades in Mothership Subliminal as well. We really don’t need a whole new product when we can find the same or better in what we already have.

I’m thinking of buying the Viseart Violette Etendu pallet for my purple fix. It has a mix of neutrals and various purple shades which is more my style. Mel Thompson did a review and tutorial on it when it came out, and I’ve always remembered how beautiful her eye look turned out. Saw it’s on sale at Beauty Bay so may finally pick it up! 😊

She really gets people with the palette design. By making the outer shell purple and including a couple of purple shades, people easily assume it's a 'purple palette,; it's not. Like so many of her palettes, it's pink and dusty rose. She might as well be Pat McGrath at this point.

I don’t understand why? If your costumes want a purple palette, make a purple palette. Why gaslight people? I make a purple package and put pink and rose colors in it. I love Natasha Denona so much, but this is not oke….

Was the proven demand for a purple palette so strong that they decided to call it that but include non purple shades to still reach those who won't drop a lot of money on a single-color palette? But then why wouldn't they pick a less polarizing secondary color than warm pinks? Anyway, I do agree with all ofyour points ,@WealthofMyself's , I just want to make sure the blame lies primarily with ND brand; the customers are just responding to her company's (false) cues!
funny tho Pat McGrath adds in those deep coral colors everywhere ... actually bought her Love Palette on Sephora sale and I'm surprisingly loving it ...the purple is beautiful as is the light shade...good price on sephora sale. It's giving me the look I wanted to make with the Roxa but there's not enough shades in the Roxa I want for the price.
I'm ordering, purple and green are my favorite colors. However, I will be switching some of the shades out, with some from other palettes. Namely, the super pinky red colors. Great review and looks!

Yes! Flight Club is also my own personal favorite TRUE purple palette. It does have a few shades that do run pinkish-purple like Orchid, but no red or true pink shades thank goodness!
I am a fan of purple, but his palette, was not my « style » of purple. This palette is very pink and warm 😅 I prefer a lot the purple from the Retro palette and My dream palette 🫣 Like you « Eclipse » is the best color of this palette, imagine a palette with this type of vibe 😍 Nice video Patty 💛

I think if I mix and match palettes, I’ll use eclipse and dixie with the retro palette, the shade nude mauve for sure. And maybe instead of nude mauve I could try nurture or unity from my dream (neutral or leach instead of pink) as a transition color. Or even one of the mattes from I need a nude as a transition color.

Beautiful as always 💜 I got my Roxa a couple days ago and I love it so far although like you it's probably not the purple palette of my dreams. However if I use it with a couple of my other Midi palettes I can get some stunning looks. I'm happy to have it in my collection for sure. 💜💜
So this palette was inspired by the ND OG Lila palette 😍 I don’t think she meant it to be ALL purple 😅 yes there are several pinky looking shades but I also think depending on how you layer & pair the shades it’s absolutely possible to get very purple looks 💜 I can’t wait to dive into my palette as purples make hazel green eyes pop 😊 I loved the 2nd look Patty & I am so eagerly waiting to see your 5 looks video ❤🎉

It's interesting how when youre filming yiu say the 1st look looked more purple, but what we see on video at home, I think the 2nd look looks more purple! I have been wanting a Natasha Denona MOSTLY PURPLE palette for sooooo long now, but I agree with you that it's not the purple 💜 we've been wanting. I would love to see her create a purple palette with one side warmer purples/other side cooler tone purples with a middle section of a few transition greys/suede colors and several shimmer/sparkling toppers!!!
Hi Patty! I have the day off so I’m enjoying my day watching my favorite content creators ☺️ Most of the shimmer ✨ shades are beautiful, no question about that. When I first saw that Natasha Denona was releasing a purple palette I was so excited! Purple shades are my favorite color for my green eyes. I also love wearing different colors of purple tops! When I saw the inside of the palette I was confused and underwhelmed. To me this isn’t a purple 💜 palette! It’s very pink, rosy and red shades. The outside packaging is so beautiful, I thought when you opened it up it would be filled with all different shades of purple. I was also excited to try the new silky matte formula. The fist shade you used I think it’s phoebe is a great purple shade, why ND didn’t do more is confusing to me. Brink, Dixie Muse Flutter are the only shades I like. I don’t wear pink or red shades on my eyes. I feel it makes me look I have a bad flu or pink eye. You’re so amazing at eyeshadow looks so it’s gorgeous on you. I definitely think look number one is my personal favorite on you! oh I remember the very pretty pink Fenty eyeliner you had! I love that Glossier eyeliner it’s a beautiful color and great shade! I’m making a note so I can check that one out at Sephora! I would really love 💜 if you rearranged this palette with other different ND shades to see if you can create a better beautiful purple palette of your dreams! That would be a great video! Ok, I can’t wait to tell you but maybe you mention it later in this video. Anyways, remember that palette, the love face and eye palette that came out for Valentine’s Day a couple of years ago? Anyways, the deepest shade in that palette is almost identical to this Eclipse shade. And the shade Dixie is actually pretty close to Snowbow in the xenon palette. I can’t wait to use those two shades with Nude Mauve and do a halo eye…. Ok, now I can watch the rest of the video, lol
Ok I did not expect this. I was not going to buy this palette initially as I am not a fan of bright purple on my eyes. But this palette looks pink and very muted and gentle… just the way I love it lol well I might need it now.
I'm going to swap out that red shade for Nude Vino to get a less pinky pastel transition shade and maybe throw in a purple from the Love pallette fornthe other warm shade and I think I'll like it much better.
Number one is pretty and looks fab on you Patty! IMO, Red eyeshadow is rarely flattering, perhaps for more editorial looks, although you made it work. Maybe ND will do a mini similar to Triochrome, with two rich purples, I'd purchase that for sure. 💜
I love 3 colors, the three dark purples, eclipse, jacaranda and concord. If this palette leaned more purple taupe or a taupe burgundy I would be jumping out of my seat! I am not going to lie, I have been looking forward to this release, but on my skin tone and eye color I think there are just too many colors I won't use to justify it. I am sorry Natasha, I need more rich jewel tones and taupes and browns that lean purple and burgundy what a dream that would be combined with the blendabliity of this palette. Oh dear, these palettes come out and I have this colour by Fenty and that colour by Charlotte Tilbury and so forth. Then, I don't like red eye shadow and I don't buy. However, you are one of the best for reviewing makeup.
I have the Norvina palette, and I love it. It's great quality, but it's not all purple either. There's a few mid tone pinks and shimmers in the mix. I'm still going to get Roxa, but that's just me. I can't pass up a purple palette, especially ND.
I feel like my colourpop it's my pleasure pallette could give me similar looks at this pallette...that's the only thing helping me not spend my money on it. Beautiful looks as always.
I didnt like the look of the red.. but is a bit more 'pinky' on the eye and Angeshka did a real purple eye then a real hot pink eye.. they both looked good....I liked both of yours too ❤❤❤❤❤
Will your 5 looks be out before the Sephora sale? So far I’ve only seen one or two looks I would actually wear and honestly I can get both from Rose Quartz or Retro.
Imagine throwing away those three weird reds and replacing them with the two purple tone shades from bronze (one for depth, one for periwinkle-silver shimmer) and the deep brown shimmer with purple pinpoint sparkles from Lila (maybe amp up the shimmer formula and the purple reflect). A step beyond, if you were really hankering for a change, would be replacing any other sort of repetitive shade with a neutral-to-purple leaning taupe. Now THAT would be a palette

Maybe Creators are getting an upgraded version of this palette, I swatched it in store and there was barely any pigment. Hoping it was just a faulty palette that was sent to Ulta.

Some of the glitters are topper shades without much base so they're not going to stick without a sticky base. Honestly It's a pretty pink palette with some purples.
Those red shades stick out like a sore thumb. It would have been better to have aubergine or periwinkle mattes - or if going for a shimmer one of those light teal/purple duochromes that are really popular with indie brands. Red is so hard to pull off.
I have no interest in buying this palette as I’m not a purple girl, but I love Patty’s make up skills and will always watch for the tips and inspiration!
Instead of the 2 red mattes, she should have done a metallic teal colour, and a jolt of an intense green& purple duochrome. We could have used a second accent colour of green teal (the first being pink) to diversify the looks. I also think that one of the lighter baby purple colours and lighter pinks could have been another mid-tone purple. We could have used 1-2 more intense purple colours.
Funny enough I just added a similar comment about swapping this shade for a light teal/purple duochrome. I often use this tone from indie brands (like Glaminatrix gleam single) with purple mattes as they are so complementary - but not boring, sickly or repetitive to previous ND palettes.
I was thinking that too! A couple of greens would have been awesome. Especially since the packaging has a green shift to it. I may pull a couple from the Retro Glam palette in place of those rosy reds.
Pink palette with a few pops of purple shadows . Not a fan of the topper shades. IMHO you need to enjoy pink eye shadows if you invest $70 for this palette.
I don't need this pink and what 5 purples. In the Lila it was the same. Don't sell us a purple palette that pulls all purple in her ads campaign. 🙄 I would still love it because I love pink. The problem is too many purples that look like the shimmers, pink. It is beautiful but I have a perfect pink palette in my Sakura...palette. 😢 I lost my Princess Sakura. She was named after the Japanese cherry trees. The bloom for a short period. The celebrate the Sakuras in bloom. Yeah I had to get her put down. I was taking, according to her vet, excellent care. Ok I will cry and ruin my makeup. 😂 😊❤
I was really excited. I'm a purple person. It's too red purple for me, pink/rose purple vs more blue purple. Sweat Pea looks beautiful. I hate red. I know strong words but around my eyes red doesn't work. Add in the orange which reminds me now that I think on it of a 9 pan I think Huda did which had purple and orange but maybe someone else. I just want purple with some flesh tones and either blue or green... a gold maybe. Love the concept but think it's gonna look like a bloody mess on me :( so for now passing which is hard for a purple person
You should have grabbed the Norvina volume 4 when it came out. A purple palette yet to be bested. 25 shadows that still shine in quality. I won't be getting this.

Not picking this one up but would like to see either among the 5 look 1 palette or as a bonus a look using this palette and another Natasha Denona one to create a unique look like you describe.

Ok, I can’t wait to tell you but maybe you mention it later in this video. Anyways, remember that palette, the love face and eye palette that came out for Valentine’s Day a couple of years ago? Anyways, the deepest shade in that palette is almost identical to this Eclipse shade. And the shade Dixie is actually pretty close to Snowbow in the xenon palette. I can’t wait to use those two shades with Nude Mauve and do a halo eye…. Ok, now I can watch the rest of the video, lol
Ok I did not expect this. I was not going to buy this palette initially as I am not a fan of bright purple on my eyes. But this palette looks pink and very muted and gentle… just the way I love it lol well I might need it now.

I'm going to swap out that red shade for Nude Vino to get a less pinky pastel transition shade and maybe throw in a purple from the Love pallette fornthe other warm shade and I think I'll like it much better.

I have been pairing this with the Mydream palette and the xenon palette. I think they work well together. Next I’ll try it with retro . 💜💜💜✨

Number one is pretty and looks fab on you Patty! IMO, Red eyeshadow is rarely flattering, perhaps for more editorial looks, although you made it work. Maybe ND will do a mini similar to Triochrome, with two rich purples, I'd purchase that for sure. 💜
They put me in red eyeshadow when I was in a zombie movie. 😂
I love 3 colors, the three dark purples, eclipse, jacaranda and concord. If this palette leaned more purple taupe or a taupe burgundy I would be jumping out of my seat! I am not going to lie, I have been looking forward to this release, but on my skin tone and eye color I think there are just too many colors I won't use to justify it. I am sorry Natasha, I need more rich jewel tones and taupes and browns that lean purple and burgundy what a dream that would be combined with the blendabliity of this palette. BTW, LOVED your first look, I would wear that every day casual and dress up! Thanks Patty for a great review and I look forward to your 5 looks, you are an artist!

People enough for me! I’ve switched out some pinks from the retro. Also been using the Colorpop Amethyst with it if I want more purple.
My favorite look is also the first one. I'm leaning more towards the softer looks, in my old age 😝

Oh dear, these palettes come out and I have this colour by Fenty and that colour by Charlotte Tilbury and so forth. Then, I don't like red eye shadow and I don't buy. However, you are one of the best for reviewing makeup.

How does it compare with Norvina volume 5? Which one is better in your opinion as a perfect purple palette?
I have the Norvina palette, and I love it. It's great quality, but it's not all purple either. There's a few mid tone pinks and shimmers in the mix. I'm still going to get Roxa, but that's just me. I can't pass up a purple palette, especially ND.
I feel like my colourpop it's my pleasure pallette could give me similar looks at this pallette...that's the only thing helping me not spend my money on it. Beautiful looks as always.

I didnt like the look of the red.. but is a bit more 'pinky' on the eye and Angeshka did a real purple eye then a real hot pink eye.. they both looked good....I liked both of yours too ❤❤❤❤❤

Was extra tempted today to purchase, and she used carmine on several shades so its another pass for me. Lovely color story
Imagine throwing away those three weird reds and replacing them with the two purple tone shades from bronze (one for depth, one for periwinkle-silver shimmer) and the deep brown shimmer with purple pinpoint sparkles from Lila (maybe amp up the shimmer formula and the purple reflect). A step beyond, if you were really hankering for a change, would be replacing any other sort of repetitive shade with a neutral-to-purple leaning taupe. Now THAT would be a palette

It's Jacaranda, like the beautiful lilac tree (or red).

I got this palette but I know I’ll be switching out those red/coral shades. Are the mini palettes the same pan size as her midi’s? I don’t have a mini but I have one in mind to get and I feel like maybe I could switch them out with that one but I don’t know if it’s the same size.

Maybe Creators are getting an upgraded version of this palette, I swatched it in store and there was barely any pigment. Hoping it was just a faulty palette that was sent to Ulta.

Honestly this palette looks messy and like the glitters don’t quite adhere to the skin. Also it’s really pinky bright
Some of the glitters are topper shades without much base so they're not going to stick without a sticky base. Honestly It's a pretty pink palette with some purples.
Orchid is more of a fuchsia or magenta.
Those red shades stick out like a sore thumb. It would have been better to have aubergine or periwinkle mattes - or if going for a shimmer one of those light teal/purple duochromes that are really popular with indie brands. Red is so hard to pull off.

I have no interest in buying this palette as I’m not a purple girl, but I love Patty’s make up skills and will always watch for the tips and inspiration!
Instead of the 2 red mattes, she should have done a metallic teal colour, and a jolt of an intense green& purple duochrome. We could have used a second accent colour of green teal (the first being pink) to diversify the looks.
I also think that one of the lighter baby purple colours and lighter pinks could have been another mid-tone purple. We could have used 1-2 more intense purple colours.
Funny enough I just added a similar comment about swapping this shade for a light teal/purple duochrome. I often use this tone from indie brands (like Glaminatrix gleam single) with purple mattes as they are so complementary - but not boring, sickly or repetitive to previous ND palettes.
I was thinking that too! A couple of greens would have been awesome. Especially since the packaging has a green shift to it. I may pull a couple from the Retro Glam palette in place of those rosy reds.

Pink palette with a few pops of purple shadows . Not a fan of the topper shades. IMHO you need to enjoy pink eye shadows if you invest $70 for this palette.

I don't need this pink and what 5 purples. In the Lila it was the same. Don't sell us a purple palette that pulls all purple in her ads campaign. 🙄 I would still love it because I love pink. The problem is too many purples that look like the shimmers, pink. It is beautiful but I have a perfect pink palette in my Sakura...palette. 😢 I lost my Princess Sakura. She was named after the Japanese cherry trees. The bloom for a short period. The celebrate the Sakuras in bloom. Yeah I had to get her put down. I was taking, according to her vet, excellent care. Ok I will cry and ruin my makeup. 😂 😊❤

I was really excited. I'm a purple person. It's too red purple for me, pink/rose purple vs more blue purple. Sweat Pea looks beautiful.
I hate red. I know strong words but around my eyes red doesn't work. Add in the orange which reminds me now that I think on it of a 9 pan I think Huda did which had purple and orange but maybe someone else. I just want purple with some flesh tones and either blue or green... a gold maybe. Love the concept but think it's gonna look like a bloody mess on me :( so for now passing which is hard for a purple person
ps ABH does purple nice, if only their palettes allowed you to take them out and swamp them out I could make a perfect purple palette.

You should have grabbed the Norvina volume 4 when it came out. A purple palette yet to be bested. 25 shadows that still shine in quality. I won't be getting this.
