- A musical story featuring sea monsters, robots, and a tiny controller person being pursued by mysterious horned leviathans. Through a sudden and disastrous crash into the ceiling of the sky, he emerges from his imaginary island contraption, clamoring though a shattered hole, and sees the world in a new way, void of the creatures that haunted him. Directors note: In this animation I re-introduced an iconic character I first created for my film "Masks", I see this little pale pulp-like character as a visceral representation of our inner fragility, innocence, and honesty that is slowly buried into our inner core as we proceed through our mature lives. This character is a good storytelling tool as I attempt to illustrate the visual interpretations of our learning, struggles, and suffering.. and sometimes joyful victory over personal strife and confusion. The robot, conversely, is a symbol of lifelessness, of dry utility.. a vehicle. I believe this was the first time I included any type of a non-organic character. I hope you like the film. I can't thank Jay enough for giving me the opportunity to draw this piece, guided by his emotionally charged track of music.

You think of things that you just don't understand;
You try to grasp but they just fall through like sand.
The bones that built ya feel like they might go
Just pull on the rudder, put to rest your weary load.
You fight the fear, you plow through waves in rows,
You tug your ear as you're looking down below.
The fish swim circles through your outstretched hand
Your eyes feel heavy as you start to dream of land
Oh as you sail out in the snow
The wind is singing low
The tune that you might hum forever

And slow it takes a hold

His greed for higher and higher made the demons around him grow too until he cut the whole thing down and they disappeared too, leaving him all alone. I noticed you don't have as many frames for some of the main character's moves but the poses and timing are correct so it still works.
That dude just went straight to heaven. As he finally defeated his demons, by getting rid of the illusion 😇

The Robot's simulating a false look about yourself or the lies that make you look different for the others, and the monsters are our consequences or remorse following you, until you decide to face things and they'll disappear

after i watched this, i can assumed that the little creature is representative of human, the robot is what do you say it.. an environment that keeping you save from outer world, and the monster is a "threat" that visualize in the man itself ( because it's scares the man?), to be simple society.
the sky is where the man escape from the "imagination" itself..( which is why he is at adulthood i presumed) that's why after he hits the ceiling (which is conscious from his fear) he changed the point of view what his (past) encountered.
and finally he now knows that he is realized he is the only one who can live in society which is.... well maybe you know the answers. I'm just a man after all, who's took a lots of mistakes from his entire life.
I'm just sharing what I've seen this short movie though... oh, and also i takes a little "clue" from the creators that have posted beforehand.
