Hi Joztte today is 4/18/23. I had trouble with my phone. I couldn’t answer your question. I enjoy hearing you speak about dogs you groom and the music. I enjoy your sharing. Ok Have a great day.🤓
At least you care about how clean the dog really gets. I've definitely taken my dog to the groomers and she kept coming back smelling like....she'd been playing outside... I expected her to come back smelling good. Side note, this dog is adorable and very wiggly lol
The dog look great. I watched the entire video and you stayed focus on getting the dog groomed without incident. The pet parent should be very pleased. Good job.
Thank you so much!!!! That is the biggest part. Getting them done without an incident. The pet parent was very please and she comes to me now for grooming 🥰🥰💞💞
It appeared her left front paw is probably sore and that’s why she didn’t like it touched . My dogs have that issue too when they have the yeast acting up. Allergies are horrible.
Allergies are definitely horrible. Have you tried garlic in their food or apple cider vinegar. That helps a lot. I have a video up about dog food and allergies. It’s posted on my channel
@@TheLuvOfDogs Yes they are on home made food that has apple cider vinegar, ginger, curcumin, kelp, chicken liver , and other ingredients . Works so well !!! Why don’t these Vets tell parents instead they give them “ special “ dog food with horrible ingredients in them, for our dog to take. My Chloe is on Ketoconazol for her skin condition too
Piper’s a real cutie under all that hair! Great Job! ❤ I’m very concerned about her health and what momma’s feeding her. Momma needs the advice of Piper’s Vet as to what she should be feeding her!? Sorry, sorry 😢 I love these doggos 🤗🥰❤️
She definitely is a cutie!! Don’t be sorry, I definitely agree she is feeding her the wrong thing and too much of it. I talked with her about Pipers weight and she said she had a conversation with the vet about it. I think I forgot to mention it in the video. She also had a conversation about the smell on piper and discovered she has a skin issue. ❤️❤️🙏🏾
Why do you first wash all that long hair and then cut the coat? It is more effective - and a shorter process for the dog - when you first cut as much as possible and then wash, which also causes that the shampoo comes closer to the mostly dirty skin. Also, the loud hairdryer doesn t need so much time, so that a puppy like this has a lot more suffering! I am a groomer by myself and know, what I am talking about)
For a dog that has never been groomed before I didn’t want to take the clippers to her first because I knew she wouldn’t do well. So, to spend an hour+ on a pre-shave, stress her out because the clippers don’t go through as easy on a dirty coat than a clean coat, not know what’s under the mats so I could hit a scab or whatever is under the mat, only to stress her out when I have to put her back on the table and finish the cut with clippers again. I’d rather do it once. Which helped her a lot because she’s been back in since. I establish a routine with my clients so they know what to expect every time they come in. I also insure every dog is clean because I thoroughly scrub all my dogs. I don’t mess around when it comes to the bath. I actually talked about that in my first video. So, as you know every groomer has a different routine and what works for them. You have your way and I have mine which in my experience has worked for me with no issues. Thank you for your suggestions tho. It is always appreciated 🥰🥰💞💞
Also, pre-shaving doesn’t mean a shorter process. Had I pre-shaved she would have had the same process and same time length because of how she reacted to the clippers. I assess the whole situation before I start grooming. I don’t just clipper, it helps me stay safe and not cut a dog and say it was because of the matting.
I started my girl when she was 8 weeks and the groomer still has trouble with her and I brush her everyday and I lift her legs and grab her chin to try to help , but🤷🏻♀️ The smell could come from her food mine can’t have any fish or fish oil in it ., after I found a food without it , no smell at all . Great job again 🐶
Yeah some terriers just know what they want and what they don’t want lol. It wasn’t a fish oil smell. My personal dogs muzzle smell like that because they have to have it in their food. I don’t know what this smell was lol. No thank you again! I really appreciate the support 🥰💕
When I wash my dogs I make sure the product gets to the skin because I actually scrub my dogs. I make sure the dogs fur and skin is clean as I don’t like grooming a dirty or half clean dog so I never have to worry about that. But I didn’t pre-shave her because I don’t believe in freaking a dog out twice. Given she’s never been groomed before I knew shaving her would be a challenge so to cut her groom time down and her time in the salon I washed her first which created a since of routine for her, because her next time in the salon, she did so much better. I only pre-shave severely matted dogs that I think can’t be shaved in anything but a 10 blade. Also, pre-shaving dirty fur takes a longer time when they have mats because you have to force the blades threw dirty fur and you have an extremely higher chance of cutting the dog because you don’t know what’s under the mats. Also, shaving dirty fur destroys your blades. So, I choose to wash and dry first as it is the safest way. Thank you so much for your advice tho. I do really appreciate it 🥰💞
This is just a thought but would it of been better to wash her once then when u remove her coat then re wash her so you can get right to the skin? Or was she smelling that bad? I really rate you as a groomer and the way you handle the dogs. Even with difficult groom those dogs always look good!
You did great, poor baby she needs grooming training. Short hair if she is not able to get on a good schedule. Easier for her to maintain her. Food you are correct needs to be good for her health and her teeth. People forget the teeth can get really bad if you give them bad foods. Lots of brushing and combing. Hopefully the owner will follow through with grooming.
I could not take my eyes off the unattended dog on the grooming table in the background. The groomer was lucky that the dog did not try to jump off the table while they stepped away.
Can you time stamp it because I didn’t see anyone walk away from their dogs. At Petsmart that is not allowed. I did see the groomer bend down to do the nails on the back feet so she wasn’t visible.

She didn’t have a lot of mats but on the front legs she did and they were very close. Also, the PP asked for this length. She’s actually been back and asked for that length again lol. I was surprised given how long she was but she loved the cut.
As you have wash hair which you will be cut off if you had cut the hair first you would have seen her skin problems and took action to was her in different shampoo
