Does your new facility have a chalk board? Need some of the old videos where you nerd out on programs on the chalkboard.

In all the videos I've watched I've never seen you smile. When you picked up that ax not only did you smile, you involuntarily chuckled. Seems you found your happy place.

You said something key about what your seminars do vs. some traditional martial arts. In most martial arts, you don’t learn weapons first, which is why I’ve enjoyed some systems of FMA. A weapon is put into your hands from the start then you move to empty hand. In other martial arts, you might not learn weapons until you’re a black belt.

"do you have to get here?"
well I've been waiting to. i thought the last 2-3 years would usher in a dystopian world. i already had a wardrobe and a cache of weapons prepared for that.

Fair criticism of rattan; a couple of my bastons are badly shredded. BUT, I can still use them. That steel must be tough on the joints over time, no?

There is no steel in that training staff, it is made of Polypropylene. The name of the company is Cold Steel.

Look into White Waxwood staffs. Natural product. Nigh unbreakable. Not a company. A type of staff out of China. I've beaten some of these until I thought my arms will fall off and it was still going strong. I'm not talking about the machined ones but the ones made out of a whole sapling. MUCH stronger than a typical hardwood staff. They taper to one end as tree saplings tend to do. Certain martial arts use staffs more like single ended weapons like a spear (Wing Chun) and are optimized for this versus a double ended staff. Keeping distance has advantages.

I wonder do forensics pathologist ever turn up at the door of this place asking for expert advice on potential murder weapons? “we’ve got another weird one. Any ideas on a large pizza wheel with a serrated edge?” Gruesome though fascinating!

I'd love to get involved in some programmes. Could you point me the right way? Is it your website?
Been training a 13 months, gone from 336 to 202. Still feel deconditioned though. 56yo
have left plenty updates on your channel. approx 60lb still to lose plus wanna get athletic to play my sports again which are: judo (4th Dan), badminton and Triathlon. I train but if I up my volume or intensity too much I hurt something. Been having regular osteopathy and do lots of yoga and pilates on top of my KB work. Oh and I swim & cycle. Am in UK.
    Huge fan of wildman Athletica

min. 5:57 "blocking with a staff is easier than blocking with your arm (...) this [blocking with a staff] should be taught first" - yeah, but we do not normally walk around carrying a staff with us, do we?
