Motown was a fantastic ground breaking label but boy did they under promote or just ignore some outstanding artists on their own roster - Barbara most definitely being one of them.
What a record, so soulful just listen to those words of a broken heart, Motown was heads above anything else around at the time, they’ll still be playing this in 50 years time
I loved Barbara McNair...she was so gorgeous and talented. She certainly was underrated and never got the attention she deserved even though she had her own variety show, but it was from Canada. Gee America you could have done better for her that's for sure.
One of the most beautiful women of the 60’s I have ever seen. This women is gorgeous and as we would say today, fricken hot. With all due respect as I just recently found out she passed away about 11 years ago.
it make me sad to think about Barbara Mcnair a lot she had to deal with a lot though her life and for this song they say the Supremes sang the backing which is crazy to put them on the same show to
Probably the most beautiful Motown track ever recorded!!! So underrated.
First heard this in Harlem Suite, Samantha's, Sheffield, in 1974 and thought what a brilliant emotional song! 🤸

Just found a pristine UK copy - bloody gorgeous Hitsville gem song - happy old boy .
A wonderful talent better than many Motown stars.

I'm a huge Motown fan and I just ran across this song Shame On Me
Probably the best female singer at Motown.
Sorry to disagree but Gladys is light years ahead of all the others
@adambrocklehurst......Great singer - although, Gladys Knight took some beating too!
Amazing song and Lyrics .Many years ago Danny Pugh put this song on his record player and it seems like yesterday ♥️

Was she white?
Wasted talent at Motown PURE Northern vocals
Declan Quince Motown and northern are intertwined
Neil ginner Boden True. A only a VERY fine line separating them
liam whitcombe true,Motown great but Northern can’t be touched imo
Where's the microphone? Clearly, this woman is lipsynching.
she's passed away what's the microphone for she singing with out one same as when she was here
Try reading that tortured sentence.
