No because before you can apply for k1 visa your petitioner must provide proof of income and meet the k1 visa requirement, if not, the petitioner needs to have a co-sponsor.

In my experience, I was asked 10 questions plus the IMBRA. 📌Lastly take note that one of the eligibility requirements in order to qualify for k1 visa is -You and your fiancé(e) met each other in person at least once within the 2-year period before you file your petition. An example, if you in a long distance Realtionship and one person is from South africa and your gf is in the United States, you met them once and you waited a year to apply for a 129F to get a k1 visa, so you can get married and live with them in the United States. Which person applies for the 129F to get the K1 visa, for the person they are in a Realtionship with. I, who's from south africa or her who is in the United States. And do I have to fly up to the Untied states for my K1 visa interview? or do I only fly up when we have to get married of the (90 day timeline?) and after marriage can you stay in the Untited States? Without leaving, back to your home country? Whilst you waiting for a work visa and a green card that is pending that the person applied for. Hi! ✔️The only person who can apply for k1 visa is the US CITIZEN (Petitioner) ✔️Your interview (YOU- The beneficiary) will be held in your home country (in South Africa) at the nearest US Embassy. ✔️Once your k1 visa is granted (you can finally go to the United States, get married within 90 days, and apply for a greencard (to be able to travel outside America and legally work in the USA) Hope that answers your questions.

Hi! The waiting time varies from each case. Also, countries follow a different timeline . Unfortunately, k1 visa process is a waiting game. On the bright side, this taught me patience. Once I arrived here in the US, that patience was badly needed (being away from home, family, friends and culture.)

Every country is different when it comes to “requirements.” I had my k1 visa interview in Doha Qatar (I’m a filipino) The requirements I had to bring was emailed to me by the US EMBASSY IN DOHA QATAR such as the following: •Completed DS160 •Medical Exam Result •Passport •My Qatar Resident ID •Photo Id •Birth Certificate •IRS FORM (from my petitioner) •Fees Paid •Proof of relationship (Pictures/ Plane tickets hotels, etc) •Evidence of Domicile (petitioner) •Police Clearenace (Qatar) •Police Clearance (Philippines) •Certificate of No marriage •Completed Aramex Registration (for mailing of the passport and other documents once approved) •A printed copy of the email (showing my interview appointment) They also emailed me a document called IMBRA - INTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE REGULATION ACT. 📌All documents had to be translated in English if in foreign language. Lastly, I landed in JFK airport and was only asked for the yellow packet by the immigration officer (which was mailed to me together with my passport 2 weeks after I passed the K1 visa interview) Oh btw, I also prepared my covid vaccine certificates and card. Hi Elle, thank you so much for your comment. It just made my day. I’ve seen people that did not have any issues with their application because of their travel history. Usually they are more concerned about your travel history in the USA, (if applicants ever travelled in the US in the past) As long as you meet the eligibility requirements and you have an authentic relationships, you guys should be good! If you are worried about travel history, you may try nearby countries like hk, macau, taiwan, indonesia, malaysia (countries that are visa free and doesn’t cost an arm and leg)
There are many cases with age gap that got approved. As long as you can prove the relationship is built in love and it’s genuine, it shouldn’t be an issue.
Hi the US embassy in Qatar scheduled the interview for me. Note that each countries has different system when it comes to interview. Hello sorry for the late response. The only requirement for me was the email (letter) from the us embassy. I scheduled my appointment sa designated clinic, when I got there, I paid the medical fee, had my xray, blood drawn and that was it. (Qatar Embassy)

Cause they wanted to do the schedule for appointment and I already have the appointment scheduled for interview. Hope u can help.
@user-yo9cu7md6x The question is unclear but maybe try calling the aramex or also if you are near one if their locations, visit the office to get clarification about the confirmation page since you already paid them and did not get the confirmation if I understand it right.

How busy is Qatar embassy because my k1 is in nvc and it will go to Pakistan islambad which is very busy but I also have a Qatar work permit visa so I’m thinking if I should change my location for interview or wait In Pakistan because I have no idea how busy Qatar embassy is so
Timeframe varies. It depends on which country and a case to case basis. Just keep the faith and be patient. You’re always a day closer to being approved.

Hi depende po sa mga tanong sa inyo. But mostly yes, the interviewer usually asks questions like, pano kayo nagka kilala, wedding plans, first meeting etc since need mo iprove na legit ung relationship nyo and hndi for greencard lang.
Oh and btw, even when I applied for my greencard after arriving in the usa with k1visa, I still had to prove that my marriage is genuine. Hope that answers your question.

Thank you for subscribing and happy to hear from you. •I am a filipino but yes I was living in Qatar (work visa) so yes I am a resident and it’s okay to do the interview in Qatar Embassy (since I am a resident) •My fiance came to see me both in Qatar, then we travelled to Nepal together. A year later we met again in Qatar and travelled together in the Philippines to meet my family and vacation. •Your interview must be done where you are legally residing. •I am not certain if you can have an interview with a visiting visa only. Note that each country has their own rules.
Hi Ann, I m called the Doha clinic to schedule an appointment. I only had to bring a copy of my passport, my qatar id and a printed copy of my interview appointment (sent by us immigration via email) I also paid 1200 qatari riyals for xray and lab plus 300 qatari riyals for vaccine. Im glad that I was able to help. I remember filling out metrash (year 2020) and skipped the part where they asked to upload documents. I then ticked the box to agree on the validity of the data I provided. Then proceeded with payment. I got a confirmation that says “payment receipt” 2-3 days later I tracked the status using my qid and it says approved. I picked it up in cid and it only took me 10 minutes (in cid station)

Also, countries follow a different timeline . Unfortunately, k1 visa process is a waiting game. On the bright side, this taught me patience. Once I arrived here in the US, that patience was badly needed (being away from home, family, friends and culture.)

Hi there! Every country is different when it comes to “requirements.”
I had my k1 visa interview in Doha Qatar (I’m a filipino) The requirements I had to bring was emailed to me by the US EMBASSY IN DOHA QATAR such as the following:
•Completed DS160
•Medical Exam Result
•Passport
•My Qatar Resident ID
•Photo Id
•Birth Certificate
•IRS FORM (from my petitioner)
•Fees Paid
•Proof of relationship (Pictures/ Plane tickets hotels, etc)
•Evidence of Domicile (petitioner)
•Police Clearenace (Qatar)
•Police Clearance (Philippines)
•Certificate of No marriage
•Completed Aramex Registration (for mailing of the passport and other documents once approved)
•A printed copy of the email (showing my interview appointment)
They also emailed me a document called IMBRA - INTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE REGULATION ACT.
📌All documents had to be translated in English if in foreign language.
Lastly, I landed in JFK airport and was only asked for the yellow packet by the immigration officer (which was mailed to me together with my passport 2 weeks after I passed the K1 visa interview)
Oh btw, I also prepared my covid vaccine certificates and card. A negative result of swab within 72 hours (but that was during 2021 when it was required to do so)

I’ve seen people that did not have any issues with their application because of their travel history. Usually they are more concerned about your travel history in the USA, (if applicants ever travelled in the US in the past)
As long as you meet the eligibility requirements and you have an authentic relationships, you guys should be good!
If you are worried about travel history, you may try nearby countries like hk, macau, taiwan, indonesia, malaysia (countries that are visa free and doesn’t cost an arm and leg)

There are many cases with age gap that got approved. As long as you can prove the relationship is built in love and it’s genuine, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Hi the US embassy in Qatar scheduled the interview for me. Note that each countries has different system when it comes to interview. Hi sorry for the late response! I hope you already got the visa by now! It usually take up to two weeks and I was advised that if by 2 weeks I have not gotten my passport back with the visa in it, I should call them to follow up. By the way, CONGRATULATIONS !!!

You only need to provide Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more.

Hello sorry for the late response. The only requirement for me was the email (letter) from the us embassy. I scheduled my appointment sa designated clinic, when I got there, I paid the medical fee, had my xray, blood drawn and that was it. (Qatar Embassy)

Cause they wanted to do the schedule for appointment and I already have the appointment scheduled for interview.

Hi! my case (before covid) only took 9 months in total (until visa on hand) but after the pandemic, I’m not sure how is the timeline now.
Today is exactly 15 montha from my noa1 and not approved yet
Timeframe varies. It depends on which country and a case to case basis.
Just keep the faith and be patient. You’re always a day closer to being approved.

Hi depende po sa mga tanong sa inyo. But mostly yes, the interviewer usually asks questions like, pano kayo nagka kilala, wedding plans, first meeting etc since need mo iprove na legit ung relationship nyo and hndi for greencard lang.
Oh and btw, even when I applied for my greencard after arriving in the usa with k1visa, I still had to prove that my marriage is genuine. Hope that answers your question.

•I am a filipino but yes I was living in Qatar (work visa) so yes I am a resident and it’s okay to do the interview in Qatar Embassy (since I am a resident)
•My fiance came to see me both in Qatar, then we travelled to Nepal together. A year later we met again in Qatar and travelled together in the Philippines to meet my family and vacation.
•Your interview must be done where you are legally residing.
•I am not certain if you can have an interview with a visiting visa only. Note that each country has their own rules.
To answer your last question about your k2, yes it is mandatory for k1 and k2’s to attend the interview.

Hi Ann, I m called the Doha clinic to schedule an appointment. I only had to bring a copy of my passport, my qatar id and a printed copy of my interview appointment (sent by us immigration via email)
I also paid 1200 qatari riyals for xray and lab plus 300 qatari riyals for vaccine.

I remember filling out metrash (year 2020) and skipped the part where they asked to upload documents.
I then ticked the box to agree on the validity of the data I provided. Then proceeded with payment. I got a confirmation that says “payment receipt” 2-3 days later I tracked the status using my qid and it says approved. I picked it up in cid and it only took me 10 minutes (in cid station)

I advised them to upload anything that would look relevant like a copy of the passport or qatari id and see if it will go through.
