I’m reading the Bible start to finish for the first time in my life. So in 2 Kings there’s this verse about people starving in Samaria and this woman is begging for help and the king asks her what’s wrong. She goes on to say that her and another woman made an agreement to eat each others sons so she offered up her son and they ate it but when it came time for the other woman to offer up her son she hid him. I don’t believe I have ever read something so disturbing in the Bible. And then I think about the 70 sons of Ahab and how most were probably children…. It’s just horrible.
I agree. There was so much bloodshed. I can understand punishing one person for their own misdeeds, and forgiving them if they truly repent. But punishing generations of descendants, by death? No. I think all ancient societies were like that. There's a ghastly amount of violence and bloodshed in every ancient society I ever read about. It doesn't make this any better, but partly explains it, repugnant as it is today.
Astounding breakdown in analysis. I heard about this King for the first time in Thomas Brooks precious remedies against Satan devices book. It all makes sense now. Thank you brother.
This was an excellent recap. Jehu, like many of the kings and judges, did the Lord's will by the power of the Holy Spirit, but then they don't finish well....the holy spirit seems to leave...and they go back to their fleshy ways...
Excellent synopsis. Is Trump Jehu? Is Kamala Jezebel? "For his driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously.” Time to throw down the spirit of Jezebel in this country!!! VOTE VOTE VOTE
First Kings Ch.21 vengeance on those who tell malicious lies about innocent people to steal inherited properties.....one of the many abominations!! 'lying witnesses are an abomination to the Lord' Prov.6:19. (Jesus Christ, name above every name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit ONE indivisible forever and now amen).
2kings 10:31 But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.
Great presentation. I think Jehu's character ought to be elevated from "Bad" to "Good". Jehu did right by God in the removal of Baal and its worshipers from Israel and by eliminating the house of Ahab according to God's command from the prophet Elijah. Jehu should not be denigrated for not removing the golden calves from Bethel and Dan. Many of the "Good" kings of Judah also did not remove idols and idolatry, the common verse refrain being "... the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and made offerings on the high places." Jehu was a good king because God said he did right. God is the ultimate judge of whether someone has done right or done evil in His sight, and He judges fairly each of us according to our heart and deeds, and whether we truly repent of our past sins and reform, committing not to repeat those sins.
I had a dream in January 2024 about me been Jehu that men turn from there Religion and choosing the God of Moses because they saw the judgment that i will bring upon there Religion have never read about Jehu i started searching in TH-cam and i came across your video thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Where did Micaiah tell Ahab to not go to war? Didn’t God send a lying spirit to convince Ahab to go and die?: And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 1 Kings 22:20 KJV
Prophet Hosea actually said that Jehu went too far in his violence. Further than God commanded. Besides, he never destroyed Jeroboam calf idol, so he wasn't flawless when it comes to idolatry either.
Actually, no. Hosea 1:4 refers not to King Jehu but to "the house of Jehu" (King Jehu's descendants), possibly Jeroboam II who was king during the same time period when Hosea was prophet.
Also remember we must be born again of the water and of the spirit. Acts 2:38-39. John’s baptism is incorrect Acts 19:6-9. The name and his spirit is mandatory
That is a fantastic recap. Thank you!
Love that closing👍🏾

The Scriptures never shy away from the reality of this dark world. Many thanks for your time!

a job done well
Match this up with Jonathan Cahn's current understanding of Jehu. Be a warrior and work for God's kingdom. Love what God loves and hate what He hates.

And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 1 Kings 22:20 KJV
The original, "There Will Be Blood"
Now this is church

Lies
I will be a Jehu
What did ahab do to jehu to invoke such wrath?
I just heard Jonathan Cahn describe Trump as our Jehu
That's right..... 😜👌

I’ve meet Jews, Persians, Egyptians but I’ve never meet a Canonite 😂😂 God wiped them off the earth
