Is Pilsner Urquell your favorite Czech beer?

I don’t think I tried Czech beer before visiting the Czech Republic. Now all other beers seem too plain to me. 🍻Pilsner Urquell was amazing especially the one I tried at the brewery.

@@TheWorldTraveler Great video - thanks for sharing. Many think the unfiltered and unpasteurized variant is the best Urquell beer. It is of course a matter of taste, but for me the tank version, which is unpasteurized, but filtered is better. If you can find a pub that pour it properly (as most Urquell pubs which serves tank beer will do), the beer is one of the best in the world. When it comes to pale lager, I would say it is the benchmark beer. But in Czech you have other beer producers which is as good as Urquell. Hubertus from Kacov is one of them and it is about 40% cheaper.

@@TheWorldTraveler just want to add that the same company making Urquell beer also makes Gambrinus beer. This beer has a poor reputation among the beer experts (I call them snobs). Some years ago there was a huge blind test regarding Gambrinus and the "experts" failed big-time. I drink mostly pale lagers and this type of beer should be as fresh as possible. If you get Gambrinus from tank it is very very good. Beer from cans/bottles is never a good way of assessing a beer.
