      Is this air fryer toaster oven a danger to put under a cabinet with about four or five inches below the cabinet? You had mentioned the exterior got hot I assume that means the top of it as well.

  • @tweetiebird
    @tweetiebird 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    You confirmed I made a good choice in buying this toaster oven, although you got the bigger version of mine with the rotisserie but with confection you don't need it to cook a whole chicken; I'm a family of 1 but it's big enough to do a 12 in pizza which is the size I think gives you the most versatility with it taking the least amount of counter space. You did a great job with providing an over view on it's performance and what you can expect and need to obviously keep your eye on things so you don't ruin your food with over or under cooking compared to programmed timing fuctions. I kinda wished you could toast without the underside leaving rack marks and toasting differently. I've heard some people like to toast on convection better.

    A simple solution to prevent grease dripping from the door. Get a silicone baking mat or oven grease mat ($5-$6 online) and some high temp silicone RTV (you can find several clear or black rated for 00 degrees). Cut a 2" wide strip the width of the door and glue it to the bottom of the glass door, thi swill channel any grease that drips down to under the crumb tray. You can then take the rest of the silicone baking mat and cut it to the dimension of the oven bottom and place it under the crumb tray and door flap. This way any grease that pools on the bottom can be cleaned by simply removing the mat and washing in the sink.

    Just curious: Did you not put a drip tray under the dehydrating beef because it doesn't drip at that low of a temperature or would you have put a tray to catch any dripping if you were to do it again? I'm concerned about extra cleaning.

    • @MeemReviews
      @MeemReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For the toaster ovens, there is a risk of the foil flying/moving towards the heating elements. As long as you can secure it to the tray/basket so it doesn't move it should be ok, I try not to use foil unless my food is browning too fast on the top. Hope that helps!

    I think I saw this unit at Walmart for like $125 and I'm thinking about getting this or the Breville air fryer toaster oven Smart Oven whatever it is but that and I think this one might be a little bit bigger than I want. I love the air frying feature I have an Emeril Lagasse toaster oven air fryer for the last 3 years it's really good but it gets dirty inside and it's hard to clean. Would you have any advice to have to clean any of these air fryers toaster oven combinations from the inside?

    • @MeemReviews
      @MeemReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, I've owned a few toaster ovens over the last few years and they are all hard to clean on the inside. I have started using Brillo Pads to clean the inside and that helps, but be sure to unplug it first and then run it on high temp for about 20 mins to get rid of any soap residue (I hope to make a video soon).

      I use Dawn power wash a a wet dish towel to wipe out my Cuisinart. For heavy cleaning, use Bar Keepers Friend, a sponge & tooth brush to smear it around, then use my steamer with nozzle to blast it with steam, wiping it with a dish towel to remove soap. It’s a good idea to cover the fan area with masking tape/ painters tape to not get the steam in the electrical components. I use this same method on my regular oven. Hope this helps😊

    Why would you use parchment paper with the wedges and wings?For the air fryer to cook correctly it needs air flow all over the items to crisp all over.

    • @MeemReviews
      @MeemReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, fo traditional air fryers - but for a toaster oven, you want to be careful not to let the juices/oil fall onto the heating elements below. otherwise, they will begin to smoke and possibly cause a fire. Use the parchment paper first, then for the last 5 mins remove the parchment paper and let them crisp all over.

      @@MeemReviews The AirFryer requires more heat with circulation of air (convection). This uses 1800W too. It depends on what you are cooking temperature wise too, I'm sure. All toaster ovens get hot and need you to use thongs/mitts to remove food like any oven; some more so than others. I watch for if reviews mention the door handle is to hot and if the interrior is non stick easy cleaning too. I just got mine delivered today so now I get to do a real test. I like that it comes with a manual but it is made in China unfortunately. I'm going to check the warranty out as sometimes you get an added year for registering online. That way they can market to your of course!
