    I am an old dude. I was raised on broadcast TV - 40 - 50 channels, and then cable. I have been dubious of podcasts/casters. But now, I see a "circuit"? Content creators use each other to further their audience outreach. Bill goes on Pam's podcast. Frank, Pam's friend. thought Bill did a great job, so now Frank wants to interview Bill and on and on. It is genius and no doubt this is the future of information sharing. Congrats and much success on your journey.

    Thank you! so helpful! I want to start a 2nd season for my podcast, do I just start and call it season 2 or is there a way to organize season 1 in a sort of portal that separates season 1 from season 2?

    • @Buzzsprout
      @Buzzsprout  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, Jewel! Congrats on starting your 2nd season! In regards to your question, most podcast hosting platforms have a setting where you can organize your episodes into seasons. When you upload a new episode, specify that it’s part of ‘Season 2’. This way, your listeners can easily navigate between seasons. Happy podcasting!

    Does the "podcast intro" refer to a trailer or the beginning of every episode? I am quite sceptical that listeners are interested in hearing about my educational background at the beginning of every episode, even if mine happens to be quite good and relevant (I went to Oxford to study the topic in question). I'm worried it would sound like bragging and none of the hosts I listen to do this.

    I watched a video of Travis using Auphonic for editing. Do you only use Auphonic? I use Audacity. I feel like if I edit it Audacity and then run it through Auphonics, it will reduce the quality of sound. Should I just stick to only running it through Auphonic? Thx

    • @Buzzsprout
      @Buzzsprout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you edit your podcast in Audacity and then run it through Auphonic your audio should get better, not worse. You can always try it and compare the before and after to see how much of a difference it makes for your episodes

    • @marchoover2326
      @marchoover2326 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Buzzsprout Travis, I just experimented last night. It sounded good doing some edits in Audacity before going through Auphonic. I wanted to know what you do. Do you pre edit before using Auphonic? Thanks!

    • @Buzzsprout
      @Buzzsprout  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. You'll do all of your editing prior to using Auphonic. Auphonic should be the final step before you upload the episode to your podcast host

    It's been awhile since you posted this video but I hope you're still flagged when a question is asked. It's a great video but I have a question about one thing mentioned and that is including a link in social media. I do this on Twitter, it's in my profile on Instagram, but Facebook is a different animal. To force you to buy ads, Facebook now severely restricts the number of people who will see your post if you include a link. Zuckerburg has been open and upfront about these changes. As a result, I don't include a link in my promos. Instead, I write out the link to the podcast on the graphic itself. Sure, it adds a hoop for potential listeners to jump through, but I think that's better only a few seeing it.
    As far as you know, is there a way to work around not having a posted link restricted?

    • @Buzzsprout
      @Buzzsprout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The workaround that we'd recommend is encouraging your Page followers or Group members (which method you use to cultivate your audience on Facebook) to switch their notifications to "See First" or "All Posts" for pages and groups respectively.
      That will ensure that when you post about your new episodes, you can be sure that Facebook is showing it to them.

    The thing about generic emails with the name switched out is terrible communication advice. If you want that person to give you their time, I would make it much more personal.

    Can you start PODCAST in REELS

    • @Buzzsprout
      @Buzzsprout  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! Podcasting knows no bounds, and we appreciate your innovative thinking! Reels can be powerful for promoting your show and engaging your audience across social media. Give bite-sized snippets a try with a CTA guiding listeners toward your chosen directories.
