I've entered for Volks dolls before and this was my first win. I had a hard time justifying the cost since they are vinyl as I'm used to paying that price for resin dolls, not vinyl, so I haven't entered for too many. Boy, she did not disappoint. Stunning doll and such fun to pose. I love her ears are already pierced because I just never seem to do it. I'm hoping they bring them back for another lottery and have a chance at Lilac and there was one other I wanted too. I'm also glad to have missed out in the 2019 release for this one since the joints didn't match then.

The pricing is a bit of a sticker shock but considering she comes with (really nice) shoes, a variety outfit pieces and hand-finished touches that are unusual to DD’s (like her eyelashes, ear piercing, etc) it’s not too bad.

I'm a long time doll collector and have some pricey bjd's that have cost more but always had a hard time with paying so much for a vinyl doll. I just couldn't resist the fantasy colors and I'm so glad I got her now. I've enjoyed her more than any doll or figure in quite a while. I will certainly try for others in the future. I appreciate your beautifully done videos on the dolls as I feel I know better how to care for her.

Question, I see you’re from Canada, do you order from the Japanese site? If so how did you submit your shipping details? When I try to do mine it asks for my country, my postal code, and my address, but it doesn’t ask for my province
Hi! I just logged into my Volks International account to check how my address was saved since I recently made an order in July 2022. In the "Address 1" line I put: 123 House Street Toronto ONTARIO In "Address 2" line I put my suite/apartment number: Apt 999 I didn't put a space in the postal code so it was just the A1A1A1 format. They are still using DHL right now so as long as you have all the correct info on there somewhere they will get the package to you! Hopefully EMS to Canada will resume soon.
@@archangeli Thanks so much, I was worried I couldn’t order from them, I’m from London so initially i was confused as to where the province goes I was looking at the dolls on the us site and they’re a good bit more expensive than the ones from Japan are. So I’m happy I can save some money. Thanks for clearing that up for me though
@@aleen3013 hmmm my order in July was ¥26,615 yen for items. Shipping fees were ¥2,400. My DHL import email shows I paid $50.80 Cdn. I don’t have the breakdown of what was GST, fees and brokerage though. 🤔 I think right now it’s still slightly cheaper for us to order from the Japanese site. 😅
