I’ve followed your advice for my application and personal statements and everything regarding my application plus interviews. So far this cycle I’ve gotten 2 acceptances. Please everyone listen to him.
I couldn't agree more. I am applying for the 2020 cycle and was fortunate enough to receive multiple interviews. They're already impressed by you, they just want to know if you're able to communicate well and get along with others. When I got to the schools I was told by a few interviewers that they've already read my entire application and they picked pieces of it in which they wanted to know more about. Just be honest to who you are. Don't come up with some fake persona that you think they want to see. I was able to get acceptance letters to more than one school and all I did was talk about life, not medicine, but life.
Can we get a video about being waitlisted? The pre-med forums are a bunch of gossip about what we think admins do for the waitlist. It would be nice to know what can place you farther up on the waitlist, and how many applicants typically get taken off the waitlist each year, etc.
Small objection. The school is probably accepting a lot more than 100 or so people. Not everyone accepted to a school actually chooses to attend so schools often send out twice as many acceptances as there are actual enrollees. Those numbers aren't as easy to find online but they paint a slightly more optimistic picture for interviewees.
