Will the Sims community ever be happy about anything. We literally know NOTHING substantial about what the Sims 5 experience will be like. Do you really think they'd make the competitive/online aspect mandatory to play the game? We already have online features in the Sims 4 that are entirely optional, it's not a stretch to say whatever features they're hoping to add in the Sims 5 may be optional experiences also. Why can't the Sims community just chill and stop being so pessimistic 24/7

If you look at the EAs track record and even the other online sims game there’s no way there’s going to be an online and off-line version look at all of the games they’ve put out lately they’re obsessed with having a “live service” ie Even if you already paid for the game you’re still going to be paying a monthly fee or some other stupid shit like they do on their other games EA is the biggest corporate schill there is I’m guessing it’ll be like fallout 76 except they’ll put out the monthly membership fee right away
I like the idea of it being like Animal Crossing. I have my world, my home, my individual life that I can manipulate time and the seasons. Then you can just invite friends over to somewhat interact with your world.
That's not quite what she means. That would be an expansion pack (which we already have, with pets for example) it's more like small $1 purchases but many many of them. Think like how in games like movie star planet and club penguin lol, you need to pay for certain clothes or such
Nah, more likely you won't be able to speed up time without spending "plumbobs", a currenct you can either earn by playing a minimum of 5 hours a day OR buy 100 for 10 dollars. And then you can speed up for 3 minutes real time for each plumbob spent. That's how EA thinks. 100% greed, hate all gamers, they see us as peasants to beat money out of.

I view it as different worlds you can join into for competing at work or maybe competitions like dancing or singing. Showing different skills you have and getting rewarded for it. I feel like in the terms of being in world 24/7 online with other people is unrealistic. Just if that happens hopefully graphics don't flop
Thing we need and want: - better sibling relationship ( actually arguing with your sibling, sharing, playing with them, fighting, giving advices, discuss boy drama, steal each others stuff and babysit if your sibling is younger) - better babies -school gameplay (actually going to school, making projects for a talent show, getting a detention and getting in trouble, studying, sneaking out from class...) - more animals, farms ( farm animals, unique animals, unusal animals) - vacations ( packing a suitcase going to the airport and getting on a dream vacation in New York, Paris, London and much more...) - teen drama ( teens don't have any gameplay, they are just adults that can't start a family yet, we need teen drama like getting excited about a boy and crying over him, having a crush, picking a prom dress for a prom that you are going to with a guy who asked you out in school, dances, selfies, concerts, sneaking out, joining a gang with the bad squad...) - better elders ( walkers, nursing homes for older ppl, golf, doctor appointments, babysitting their grandchildren and being included in their events and lifes-like parents should be) - more personality ( being sad and dramatic after a breakup, sassy behavior, feeling happy after getting something you wanted, being selfish, being caring, really liking little kids and babysitting them) - more traits ( kid lover, bad girl/boy, gang leader, sassy queen/king, caring, selfish, internet addicted, maybe sime sims can have health issues they can't see, hear, sniff, walk, talk...) - unexpected events (being asked to a dance, aliens knocking on your door, principal wanting to have a talk about their children, scouts selling cookies...) - more events ( dances, graduation party, prom, toddler playdates, school moms meetings, children's ballet shows, sport compatitions, school project show off, sleepovers...) - more creatures ( imaginary friends, elfs, fairies, princesses, living statues, butterflies...) - cars that sims can actually drive - activities for children ( something fun to do after school, like ballet, karate, football, baseball, gymnastics, selling cookies...) - more romantic gameplay ( it's always the same, find a random sim in the park, speed everything up to get married and start a family since there are no couple activities at all, sims age too soon and while expanding your couple relationship they get too old for everything, that's why having a teen relationship would help) - more characters that are not included in our households and families (postman bringing you mail, scouts selling cookies, inspectors, children randomly. knocking on your door...) - more open worlds - sims need to age slower, adults can't be a couple without speeding their relationship up bc they get too old to start a family and have kids, grandparents can't see their children grow up bc they die too soon, toddlers are the only generation that's alright and doesn't need to change and toddlers age up the fastest
Can you please suggest this to the Paralives team! Personally I think these are great ideas but I think for now they’d be better suggested towards the Paralives team than The Sims 5 team.
Thing is people complain that the sims is too realistic. I remember when a pack came out (I think it was laundry day) and i saw comments saying how they didnt like how the gameplay was getting realistic and they wanted more goofy stuff. So yes I do like all those ideas but I just think it would end in uproar by the people who dont like realistic gameplay
Ashie No I feel like many of them didn’t want to have to pay $10/£7.60 for a pack of a basic life chore that was included before in The Sims 3 Ambitions, without implementing the hundreds of other items and things and a whole new town that was included with it back then.
They almost killed the Sims franchise by initially making the Sims 4 online, and they fully killed the SimCity franchise by making that online. They'd be stupid to try to do the same thing with the Sims 5. I think/hope this is a separate title.
The Sims 4 already lost a huge portion of their playerbase on top of that... their first priority should be bringing those people back in rather than trying online.

I think alot of Sims players are introverted. If we're going to have Sims of ourselves I can guarantee you my sim would be the one heading straight to the computer when invited over.

Who on earth wants competition in Sims game? It's all about creativity, fun and to build your own world, the opposite of online. The gallery is ok, but anything more than that sounds horrible.
they DID say you'd have both options. Just dont play online if you dont like it. IMO it can be fun, if done right. And let's face it The Sims has been a money grab since it came out, microtransactions or expansions theyre getting money anyways. What i really hope is that there's no loot boxes. That would be too much. Or if the purchases were only in certain games and not content for the hole game.

Moreover, they also forgot that the majority of sims players are females that are generally less fond of playing online games than males as statistics show (by that I mean real games, not mobile ones and Penguin Club stuff alike). Plus the large part of playing community is made up of young kids between the age 7-10 that are not always allowed to play online or even have internet connection (I didn't got one myself until I was 13) as some parents are worried about stranger-danger thing and shady online relationships that kids easily fall into stuff. So whatever they're planning to do, it's an economical own goal.
Honestly, I would really love if we had an option of a sort of story mode. When you create a sim, you can create their whole story. Like let’s say, you make a young adult and maybe she moved to a new town bc she got kicked out of her house, she dropped out of high school and it sort of shows you a little how it looked. Same thing when you’re making really important decisions. When having a wedding it’s really beautiful and looks like a movie and they can have a honey moon afterwards. Like when you press tab and all of the controls disappear I would die for being able to drive to places. Like in gta when you have to drive the car to get somewhere, I would love that. You can also just get in the car too, you don’t have to go anywhere specific and you can just drive around. -BIGGER WORLDS OMG I WOULD LOVE IF THE WORLDS WERE BIGGERRRR - way more personality - being able to go broke and homeless, having to stay at friends houses - I MISS GHOSTS SO MUCH!! like in the sims 3 whenever you went to the cemetery sometimes the ghosts would come home with you and just vibe around and then disappear. I want enemies, if I make my sim always react badly to someone I don’t want them to get a good interaction with them! Also, in the game there’s no stories. (Like you said) and you need to buy a game pack so that you can get a story. The game is kind of boring with no game packs.
I’m not thrilled to hear this. 😬 “More social interaction”, “more competition”, and being “fully online” sounds sketch after seeing how that plays out in most EA games. (I’m thinking of Sims Freeplay specifically: micro transactions and gambling out the wazoo.)
I uninstalled Sims Freeplay. One of those events was a straight up money sink. I wanna be able to enjoy the game and the events without the time pressure and the near impossible gameplay trying to force you into buying simoleans and social points.

jordan d I wouldn't be surprised if the fan base kills it. All of the Sims games were quite a bit bare at release, and paralives will probably be too. Alex is planning on giving free dlc similar to the packs we have currently, but I'm worried about fans getting angry at release and abandoning it.

@Je Vader I have a private server set up only for me in World of Warcraft just so that I don't have to see other people, online isn't the same as real life but it's still very social because you're not alone even if you don't talk, it's not your world and you can't just do anything in a shared world. I don't want to socialize on most of my free time and offline games let me have fun 100% alone, if Sims 5 is online it's dead to me, like Fallout 76 even before it was revealed to be a sh*t show Call of Duty players are a horrible example, do you like being yelled at by 12 year olds? I don't. I'd rather play with bots. Not to mention horrible mod support and other problems with online games
If they are going to do a sims game online it would have to be more like you invite friends into your world. Not something we’re everyone is on at once that wouldn’t work out well.
I feel maybe that the sims 5 online will make more sense if it’s like this: You would have all your worlds and sims in single player just like sims 4 and then your sims can travel to another world that has online where you can socialise with other people on lots such as the karaoke bar and parks

@@Shegohufsa I understand that. I used to play LoL, but it made me really salty. Even though my boyfriend and I play multiplayer games, we tend to just play alone with each other. He's impressed by my dedication to The Sims though and thinks I make good looking sims. Honestly though, EA needs to work on making The Sims 4 feel more complete because this will probably be my last crack at the franchise if Sims 5 turns into online and competitive play. The Sims is where I can build, create, and play out stories of my own. I don't need random people to ruin it all. I don't even know what kind of multiplayer content there'd be.
Man I miss sims 3, I feel like they keep going backwards. The things you got in sims 3 now costs money. We get less and less with each pack. Sims 3 with sims 4 graphics would of been lovely...
I think with the Sims 4 they finally decided to consider the future of the game, and in order to keep improving that they probably had to go back and fix the engine. So they had to go back to the drawing board a bit. That’s just my guess
I feel like they should do like the bars or libraries the “online” spaces and then the rest of the game is offline, so that way you can just go interact with people or talk to your friends, then go play your normal game
I feel like it'll most likely be even more compartmentalized wherein you pick what's open online or not. So you can do that, play your normal game, or invite specific people to play with specific houses or in areas; if you share a code with me then in your game in a specific shared house we could build together or make a story together. In my game and your game we'd have our own individual space. In my game and your game we'd have our own public space. We could have our Sims take pictures. They would "fake visit" places we were allowed and have memories of going places on their own or new neighborhoods from offline (like they had with the Sims 3) or we could even all watch builds or game play together. There might be a functionality wherein we can have Sims write penpals from another neighborhood. People who play challenges like the 100 baby challenge or the building challenged would have a tab to click that has the different steps they're playing if they choose. Achievements would possibly be unlocked for completing those or maybe you could mark those houses "open to visitors" so that others could see and swing by and talk to meet characters like they were townies. There might be more done with the automatic twitch streaming or TH-cam streaming where it uploads directly or you can just record more easily. There also might be the ability to turn on a chat program or a mic like when there are live streams of builds. Effectively... Just take what's been popular on TH-cam with challenges, builds, and people who want to share stories and combine it into the game. Add a button wherein you can pick which ones and where it happens. Add a specific friend code for who can directly interact with you and a follow button. Bam. That's... Probably what it's going to look like.
The only online feature I would like is to be able to travel to your friend's worlds and see their builds and stuff. Also maybe having online community lots so whenever you go there, you can talk to real people.

Sorry but not for me EA really needs to sit down and go through all the sims games and pick out what the community loved, hated and what the simmers want for our game experience. My personal opinion multiplayer is not a priority the last thing we need is a laggy game with connection problems! Sims for me is my down time to get away from the real world social media and internet is everywhere i love that the community of simmers can share creations on the gallery but leave it at that. Were in 2020 amazing things can be done now but the main focus should be learning from there mistakes I wont be moving to ts5 if its rushed and missing development like the start of ts4 bring back ts2 personalitys where they were more unique bring back the gameplay of sims 3 and keep the build mode of ts4

Just imagine the laggy internet connection and not being able to decide if you are ready to patch or not and constantly losing access to your mods or cc because of it . or worse there not being any mods or cc at all because of the online nature and they will say it’s too difficult to figure out with the engine. This would completely crash and burn. If people want online sims they should play the sims free play. Or the sims could do an offshoot game like the sims medieval but it’s online so the folks who want to play that can play that. To be honest, it would be the smartest business decision too because if that one did well they could continue to develop it and expand and diversify revenue streams without risking destroying their base of simmers.
Also people always complain about how it’s not fair to leave behind folks with old computers but now they want to leave behind people without good internet access? I literally wouldn’t be able to play most of the time if I’m travelling or in some countries because of the cost. They would lose a lot of their global support.

Sims 5 being online sounds horrifying. EA is probably going to try taking Sims 5 in the direction of Games as a Service, complete with ingame purchases and lootboxes.
Unless these things have somehow been done away with in a few years I would absolutely bet on that. "Social interaction" and "competition" are what business strategists in games regularly cite as boosting sales for these kinds of things. Social pressure and competition making kids feel inadequate for not having cool costumes, it works and it's awful.
They'll probably be CARDS, you know where you can buy a packet of cards and you have to get say 30 "denim skirt" cards to get the denim skirt and you'll only 5 cards in each pack and each pack will cost £3.99 !!!!!
What if you can't type or speak to each other. The only way you can interact is through your sim. And you would have to "accept" interactions while being able to block them at any time? That might be interesting... For an hour
I would be fine with something like that. But, they sort of have that now. You can upload houses to the exchange. Unless they allow for open world building, map editing, etc, then there's no point in that.
Yeah, I play with the Sims mostly so that I can live vicariously through my SimSelf by marrying my crush and having 15 kids and living in a perfect house and looking perfect and make all of my friends and make their lives perfect, too. I don't play it so that I can compete with other people or even interact with other people. I purposefully play it alone at 3 am when I feel like my life is disappointing.

Exactly. I've literally NEVER heard anyone ask for a mmo mode for TS. They will go from their overpriced dlc packs to overpriced single items. I just pray they don't screw with mod support

Honestly I don't want it to be online, I feel like their going to do "real-time" like with the sims mobile. I actually hate the sims mobile since it's real-time. I hope there will be an option if you want to play online and in real-time or not.
This was never really an issue for me, i create alot of my own and add them into my world (I like to add temples or little memorials in lots and stuff) then again, i never played any of the other games, so im not sure what i missed out on. It would be pretty fun to have the lore more implemented into the actual game though!

Actually... In The Sims 2 when you wanted to go to some community place or travel to friends home you have to wait with the loading screen. But the gameplay and awesome feel what TS2 gives us during playing the game, even if it's a game from the early 2000s, it is worth this waiting with the loading screen.
The word competition scares me? Like the Sims is a fun and relaxing game and your going to make me compete against others? Also competition ALWAYS means micro transactions, so you can be the best of the best by paying for it

i don’t like competition either! i love the sims because it’s a de stresser for me and it’s slow paced, and makes me happy when i make cute, wholesome families and build them a perfect house. like i don’t want to compete with other players for things ?? that’s literally the opposite of what this franchise is about and i would hate to see them move so much away from it
Their emphasis on “competition “ leads me to believe this online gameplay will be more of the ability to compete against other Simmers leaderboard style rather than living/sharing story lines.
What would the leaderboards even be? Top ten sims that have peed themselves? I really hope that they don’t assign a “point system” telling you how good you are at playing the sims because you should be able to play the way you want.
@@LpsPinkPetalPaws I agree with the play how you want, but I thought Challenges could be fun. Like the 100 Baby Challenge but actually competing against others, like who finishes the challenge first or who finishes in a set timeframe with the most money or stuff like that.
Subscription fee could be for rare items or discounts for in-game items and not to play the game if you have buied it already. It's not like we had to pay to play sims online everyday like PlayStation plus or Xbox Gold.
If they were gonna do a subscription I could see it being instead of expansion packs so that everyone had the packs and online would run smoother, but I could see that also making the subscription fee pretty hefty.

Round stairs 5. Have teens to get pregnant 6. Have child to learn more skills, n keep then when they grow to teen 7. More supernatural options like sims 3 8. Being able to live on another planet (when using the rocket ship) 9. More jobs 10. Empty shelves ( to decorate with toys or collections) 11. Have a normal diving board for pools in different heights 12. A history of what u have studied, worked as 13. Having the things actually cost a lot more 14. More festive decorations 15. More of places to you can go to, restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes..etc maybe even a zoo….?? 16. More options for butlers 17. Animal should not be in the household if you cannot control them, it’s taking up spaces for humans (that’s not fair)
"competition" isn't a word I associate with The Sims... sharing, yes... collaboration, yes... competition sounds like a mobile game... I hate the events in the Sims 4. I hate that there is furniture you can't buy in The Sims 4 and have to "unlock". The Sims 4 is already too much like a mobile game for me.
I like i tho, becoming a doctor makes doctor stuff available, why else would You want your Sims to get promoted lol (except the money). Anyway, Isnt all stuff available in Edit mode, the one were You dont have a household yet. But i get it, sometimes gets annoying. 😅
I can see a notificatio in game telling you you can enter a styling competition. You style your sim and send it in with a few others and people vote on it. No chatting or anything
I think that would be a smart move for EA. The narrative of the sims 4 will never change because people are so hooked on how it's a failure compared to earlier releases from the franchise. Because the sims 4 was so weak at the start I think this first impression will last forever.
Nowadays there aren't that many things that the game completely lacks/sucks at. There are many little things that aren't as great which overall make the game a little sad compared to the others but it's not that terrible anymore.

I think the CEO misunderstood when people voted that they liked 'social interactions'. They probably meant IN-GAME social interactions. Not real-person social interactions. Thankfully, I'm only a builder, so it's not my fault he's misinterpreted things.
Idk how he could misinterpret it, that survey was pretty clear it was social interactions between Sims in TS4. They explained each option pretty well, I don't think there was any way to misinterpret them to such a degree. I just think the CEO (like a lot of CEOs and higher ups) are very disconnected from their audience. They see what's "in" atm, especially stuff like Fortnite and Apex Legends (which funnily is an EA game, how much more greedy can you be) and want to try that even though it's the exact opposite of what the fanbase wants.

Though, yes, most AAA higher-ups are blindly leading their companies down dark paths. This is the second Indie boom, after all. Most AAA companies are completely distrusted, and those that aren't still have a great degree of unease around them due to the actions of other AAA companies.
I really want more fleshed out social interactions. I'd love to have one way relationships (e.g., one sim thinks another sim is their romantic interest but that sim actually hates them, one person is totally indifferent to another sim who thinks they're sworn enemies, etc.) I'd also want actions to have more consequences, and one way I'd like that to be implemented is through a "reputation" system a little bit like the romantic reputation thing in the sims 3. So like say your sim goes around getting into fights all the time, they might get a "mean" reputation- this might cause cowardly sims to run away from them or make good people less likely to be friendly to them, or a NEET with the slob trait who never showers might get a "lazy" reputation and be turned down for jobs or get less opportunities. I feel like this sort of thing would solve the problem of sims who do awful things being able to really easily befriend good sims, sims who cheat left right and centre being able to marry a family orientated sim with relative ease, etc.
Yes yes yes. I feel like the Sims 4 social interactions are so superficial and it's so hard to have natural awkward, indifferent, terrible relationships. I don't want everything to be rose-coloured all the time.
Sims 5 should just be a totally overhauled and updated version of 4 with all the cool stuff that's missing from past games flawlessly reintegrated and glitch-free. Add in more gameplay options, more content for kids and elders, lore, proper world progression, improved sim AI. I personally preferred sims when it was an open world. Give the community everything they've been asking for and make it affordable. Online sounds like hell.

- better sibling relationship ( actually arguing with your sibling, sharing, playing with them, fighting, giving advices, discuss boy drama, steal each others stuff and babysit if your sibling is younger)
- better babies
-school gameplay (actually going to school, making projects for a talent show, getting a detention and getting in trouble, studying, sneaking out from class...)
- more animals, farms ( farm animals, unique animals, unusal animals)
- vacations ( packing a suitcase going to the airport and getting on a dream vacation in New York, Paris, London and much more...)
- teen drama ( teens don't have any gameplay, they are just adults that can't start a family yet, we need teen drama like getting excited about a boy and crying over him, having a crush, picking a prom dress for a prom that you are going to with a guy who asked you out in school, dances, selfies, concerts, sneaking out, joining a gang with the bad squad...)
- better elders ( walkers, nursing homes for older ppl, golf, doctor appointments, babysitting their grandchildren and being included in their events and lifes-like parents should be)
- more personality ( being sad and dramatic after a breakup, sassy behavior, feeling happy after getting something you wanted, being selfish, being caring, really liking little kids and babysitting them)
- more traits ( kid lover, bad girl/boy, gang leader, sassy queen/king, caring, selfish, internet addicted, maybe sime sims can have health issues they can't see, hear, sniff, walk, talk...)
- unexpected events (being asked to a dance, aliens knocking on your door, principal wanting to have a talk about their children, scouts selling cookies...)
- more events ( dances, graduation party, prom, toddler playdates, school moms meetings, children's ballet shows, sport compatitions, school project show off, sleepovers...)
- more creatures ( imaginary friends, elfs, fairies, princesses, living statues, butterflies...)
- cars that sims can actually drive
- activities for children ( something fun to do after school, like ballet, karate, football, baseball, gymnastics, selling cookies...)
- more romantic gameplay ( it's always the same, find a random sim in the park, speed everything up to get married and start a family since there are no couple activities at all, sims age too soon and while expanding your couple relationship they get too old for everything, that's why having a teen relationship would help)
- more characters that are not included in our households and families (postman bringing you mail, scouts selling cookies, inspectors, children randomly. knocking on your door...)
- more open worlds
- sims need to age slower, adults can't be a couple without speeding their relationship up bc they get too old to start a family and have kids, grandparents can't see their children grow up bc they die too soon, toddlers are the only generation that's alright and doesn't need to change and toddlers age up the fastest
Can you please suggest this to the Paralives team! Personally I think these are great ideas but I think for now they’d be better suggested towards the Paralives team than The Sims 5 team.
For the age one, you can increase the lifespan of your sims in the settings.

I remember when a pack came out (I think it was laundry day) and i saw comments saying how they didnt like how the gameplay was getting realistic and they wanted more goofy stuff. Ashie No I feel like many of them didn’t want to have to pay $10/£7.60 for a pack of a basic life chore that was included before in The Sims 3 Ambitions, without implementing the hundreds of other items and things and a whole new town that was included with it back then.
They almost killed the Sims franchise by initially making the Sims 4 online, and they fully killed the SimCity franchise by making that online. They'd be stupid to try to do the same thing with the Sims 5. I think/hope this is a separate title.

Moreover, they also forgot that the majority of sims players are females that are generally less fond of playing online games than males as statistics show (by that I mean real games, not mobile ones and Penguin Club stuff alike). Plus the large part of playing community is made up of young kids between the age 7-10 that are not always allowed to play online or even have internet connection (I didn't got one myself until I was 13) as some parents are worried about stranger-danger thing and shady online relationships that kids easily fall into stuff. So whatever they're planning to do, it's an economical own goal.

Honestly, I would really love if we had an option of a sort of story mode. When you create a sim, you can create their whole story. Like let’s say, you make a young adult and maybe she moved to a new town bc she got kicked out of her house, she dropped out of high school and it sort of shows you a little how it looked. Same thing when you’re making really important decisions. When having a wedding it’s really beautiful and looks like a movie and they can have a honey moon afterwards. Like when you press tab and all of the controls disappear

I feel like it'll most likely be even more compartmentalized wherein you pick what's open online or not. So you can do that, play your normal game, or invite specific people to play with specific houses or in areas; if you share a code with me then in your game in a specific shared house we could build together or make a story together. In my game and your game we'd have our own individual space. In my game and your game we'd have our own public space.
We could have our Sims take pictures. They would "fake visit" places we were allowed and have memories of going places on their own or new neighborhoods from offline (like they had with the Sims 3) or we could even all watch builds or game play together. There might be a functionality wherein we can have Sims write penpals from another neighborhood.
People who play challenges like the 100 baby challenge or the building challenged would have a tab to click that has the different steps they're playing if they choose. Achievements would possibly be unlocked for completing those or maybe you could mark those houses "open to visitors" so that others could see and swing by and talk to meet characters like they were townies.
There might be more done with the automatic twitch streaming or TH-cam streaming where it uploads directly or you can just record more easily. There also might be the ability to turn on a chat program or a mic like when there are live streams of builds.
Effectively... Just take what's been popular on TH-cam with challenges, builds, and people who want to share stories and combine it into the game. Add a button wherein you can pick which ones and where it happens. Add a specific friend code for who can directly interact with you and a follow button. Bam. That's... Probably what it's going to look like.

Sorry but not for me EA really needs to sit down and go through all the sims games and pick out what the community loved, hated and what the simmers want for our game experience. My personal opinion multiplayer is not a priority the last thing we need is a laggy game with connection problems! Sims for me is my down time to get away from the real world social media and internet is everywhere i love that the community of simmers can share creations on the gallery but leave it at that. Were in 2020 amazing things can be done now but the main focus should be learning from there mistakes I wont be moving to ts5 if its rushed and missing development like the start of ts4 bring back ts2 personalitys where they were more unique

Just imagine the laggy internet connection and not being able to decide if you are ready to patch or not and constantly losing access to your mods or cc because of it . or worse there not being any mods or cc at all because of the online nature and they will say it’s too difficult to figure out with the engine. This would completely crash and burn. If people want online sims they should play the sims free play. Or the sims could do an offshoot game like the sims medieval but it’s online so the folks who want to play that can play that. To be honest, it would be the smartest business decision too because if that one did well they could continue to develop it and expand and diversify revenue streams without risking destroying their base of simmers.
Also people always complain about how it’s not fair to leave behind folks with old computers but now they want to leave behind people without good internet access? I literally wouldn’t be able to play most of the time if I’m travelling or in some countries because of the cost. They would lose a lot of their global support.

This was never really an issue for me, i create alot of my own and add them into my world (I like to add temples or little memorials in lots and stuff) then again, i never played any of the other games, so im not sure what i missed out on. It would be pretty fun to have the lore more implemented into the actual game though!

But the gameplay and awesome feel what TS2 gives us during playing the game, even if it's a game from the early 2000s, it is worth this waiting with the loading screen.

Subscription fee could be for rare items or discounts for in-game items and not to play the game if you have buied it already. It's not like we had to pay to play sims online everyday like PlayStation plus or Xbox Gold.

17. The church: To have a wedding venue ( with someone baking a cake have it all ready for you) or a funeral or being able to go to church

"competition" isn't a word I associate with The Sims... sharing, yes... collaboration, yes... competition sounds like a mobile game... I hate the events in the Sims 4. I hate that there is furniture you can't buy in The Sims 4 and have to "unlock". The Sims 4 is already too much like a mobile game for me.
I like i tho, becoming a doctor makes doctor stuff available, why else would You want your Sims to get promoted lol (except the money). Anyway, Isnt all stuff available in Edit mode, the one were You dont have a household yet. But i get it, sometimes gets annoying. 😅

I think that would be a smart move for EA. The narrative of the sims 4 will never change because people are so hooked on how it's a failure compared to earlier releases from the franchise. Because the sims 4 was so weak at the start I think this first impression will last forever.
Nowadays there aren't that many things that the game completely lacks/sucks at. There are many little things that aren't as great which overall make the game a little sad compared to the others but it's not that terrible anymore.
I feel ea need to hire the sims 3 maxis and not interfere into maxis at all. Sims 3 ran far better then sims 4.

Ugh I hate that they started making the sims “family friendly” like ur sims can have sex I don’t understand why ts4 is like that lol thats why I only play the sims 3
I think the CEO misunderstood when people voted that they liked 'social interactions'. They probably meant IN-GAME social interactions. Not real-person social interactions. Thankfully, I'm only a builder, so it's not my fault he's misinterpreted things.

Idk how he could misinterpret it, that survey was pretty clear it was social interactions between Sims in TS4. They explained each option pretty well, I don't think there was any way to misinterpret them to such a degree.
I just think the CEO (like a lot of CEOs and higher ups) are very disconnected from their audience. They see what's "in" atm, especially stuff like Fortnite and Apex Legends (which funnily is an EA game, how much more greedy can you be) and want to try that even though it's the exact opposite of what the fanbase wants.
@@tirahmisu Did the CEO read the poll and results personally? Or was he presented with a summary report that might've 'conveniently' 'forgotten' the descriptions tied to those options? Though, yes, most AAA higher-ups are blindly leading their companies down dark paths. This is the second Indie boom, after all. Most AAA companies are completely distrusted, and those that aren't still have a great degree of unease around them due to the actions of other AAA companies.
Right, I think more social interaction options while you play. Not like an online game where people can play at the same time all over the world.

I really want more fleshed out social interactions. I'd love to have one way relationships (e.g., one sim thinks another sim is their romantic interest but that sim actually hates them, one person is totally indifferent to another sim who thinks they're sworn enemies, etc.) I'd also want actions to have more consequences, and one way I'd like that to be implemented is through a "reputation" system a little bit like the romantic reputation thing in the sims 3. So like say your sim goes around getting into fights all the time, they might get a "mean" reputation- this might cause cowardly sims to run away from them or make good people less likely to be friendly to them, or a NEET with the slob trait who never showers might get a "lazy" reputation and be turned down for jobs or get less opportunities. I feel like this sort of thing would solve the problem of sims who do awful things being able to really easily befriend good sims, sims who cheat left right and centre being able to marry a family orientated sim with relative ease, etc.

Yes yes yes. I feel like the Sims 4 social interactions are so superficial and it's so hard to have natural awkward, indifferent, terrible relationships. I don't want everything to be rose-coloured all the time.
Sims 5 should just be a totally overhauled and updated version of 4 with all the cool stuff that's missing from past games flawlessly reintegrated and glitch-free. Add in more gameplay options, more content for kids and elders, lore, proper world progression, improved sim AI. I personally preferred sims when it was an open world. Give the community everything they've been asking for and make it affordable. Online sounds like hell.
and not buying expansion packs for alot of dollars :/
since the release of sims 4, me and my sisters have been saying we wanna wait till sims 5 and that we hope itll be like all of the good aspects from sims 3 and sims 4 (of course, now ive watched too many yt vids and played the trial version that i now wanna get sims 4, plus we dont have an internal dvd-rom drive to use for our sims 3 game on our new pc)
