I bought some 99 cents towels and they work quite well in 110 degree weather. It is just evaporative cooling principles. The ac in the car went out and those cheap yellow 99 cent store works just as well.
The fabric works best in lower humidity climates. I suppose indoors under controlled temp/humidity, too. Pretty useless in humid regions, though this material is neat and much lighter than a beach towel. There is no magic when you "snap" the towel. It simply rushes the air through the material quickly, cooling it "instantly" right before your eyes! You might as well shake the towel like you shake a dirty rug. If there were some magic chemical reaction when you snap it, (like hand-sized heat packs) it would be listed in the specs. Works like the old 1940s-50s canvas bags tied to the front of car's bumper out west. It's science. Those bags would cool the water quicker at higher speeds, (snappy) not so much around town. Don't waste your water on the towel. Drinking the water would be better. Any reviewer who lives west of Kansas will provide a more favorable review than someone who lives east of Missouri.
oh the tags read: hand wash,do not bleach, tumble dry-low heat(i'd just hang dry though),i can't see the second label clearly but thats all i can "translate".I gotta get myself one of these things!
Damn I want this! But I can't get it in my country. N the prices on eBay are crazy! Either they jack up d price for the towel.like $30 per piece or the shipping will be jacked up. So either way I have to pay $50 for it.which is nuts! Van anyone help me!!?? I know shipping to my country is $10 or so.not $30. I need thisssssss
Yeah I forgot to mention it in the vid and remembered when editing.
